That's what I'm trying to figure out. I can definitely see it happening next episode and I'm sure maybe it'll calm down the hate towards him.
Nah I'd still hate him, but his sacrifice would be for the greater good.

Kinda hard to like a character when they're dead. But probably not, as people insist on holding grudges on petty levels. On average, it'd just be something nice to say about him.
He may have already saved Clem's life indirectly by giving her the second pistol but still...
How funny would it be if she lost the first pistol then be like "TWO GUNS ASSHOLE!"
Yeah, I suspect that may come in handy at some point. More dakka can't hurt.
I was thinking Clem may have the other one hidden, and when she gets cornered and loses the first pistol, she can then pull out the other one and be like "SURPRISE ASSHOLE!"

The thing about Gabe is he is good in small doses and then takes a massive nosedive afterwards.
Hmm...that's a decent point. I do feel like scenes where he helps out or contributes something to the discussion/situation for a minute, then hangs off at the side are usually the ones that go over better.
