She knows he'll listen to her anyway, but she'll be finally getting serious about addressing his issues after so long of keeping quiet and letting Javier handle him. It'd be character development for both since Gabe was further established to not have interacted with anyone besides Mariana in a positive manner much over the years and showed signs of not wanting to listen to them even back then, while Clementine would be applying her anger or "strength" or whatever you wanna call it in a way that's constructive rather than destructive again.
Plus, I honestly doubt she realizes he likes her like that anyway and I'd rather keep it that way for the sake of not making it the focus.

I think it's pretty obvious that Gabe dies next episode, when a character gets a load of screen time it usually means they are being killed off. I couldn't see telltale keeping him alive and have a relationship with Clem, they know we dislike him and they know that if we were playing as Clem what we'd do.

That they had to rewrite this season multiple different times and that Clem was originally was going to be more than a side character, that you get to play her more than flashbacks. TellTale had Melissa voiced everything but scrapped it. So basically they don't know wtf they are doing this entire season. They made a lot of questionable decisions this entire episode.

Honestly, that would be a pretty satisfying way to use their characters in this season, Gabe doesnt always think before he does things, and is way too emotional to survive, same with Kate, Clementine knows that Javi got her back, and I think she would rather have someone that she knows has her back, rather than someone she might have feelings for (not that I think she does, it would make way more sense if its a one way deal, where its only Gabe that has feelings, Clem needs someone kind and levelheaded that is in the other end of the spectrum from herself, someone she can protect, but Gabe isnt that, Gabe is whiny and impulsive, and very likely to get Clementine killed)
