The New Conrad.
Conrad (a.k.a. best determinant character ever) talks about needing time to figure out who the new Conrad is before saving your life. It seems to me that he's in for some more character development. Where do you think his character will go from here? What's in store for Conrad? And please no "He's probs gonna die cause determinant lol!" comments. If you do think he'll die just answer hypothetically then. That or ignore this discussion all together.

I'm thinking he's going to take the "Morgan" route from TWD tv show. Well maybe not a guy who's a pacifist that won't kill human life like Morgan, but I can see him as someone going through some spiritual enlightenment since he did say he wanted to be a new Conrad. It would've really helped to know what his occupation and more of his life before the outbreak in order to get more sense out of his character.
Conrad is the f*ck Clementine choice. Clearly. What other reason could there be to let him live this long, ESPECIALLY when over 80% of players killed him. Man was not a popular choice, yet they put in all this extra effort to keep him alive?
The only reason I can think of for Telltale to allow him to live longer than anyone else, after becoming a determinant, is to get players to do a second playthrough where he lives. Which means more people turning against Clem. It's all carefully structured. They even add a scene to make you feel bad about killing him, while not including one that makes Clem mad if you don't. There really is no reason to not let Conrad live. I wonder what the percentage of people that let him live is now.
Anyway, I'll say that he'll probably live to the end, and then split up from the group after it's all over. They let him live this long, I have a hunch they will make him the first determinant to survive a season.
No, no, no and no! It is not a "fuck Clementine" choice. You want a reason to let Conrad live? It's that you don't want to kill Conrad. It's the best reason there is. I kept him alive and I love Clementine. You are not ruining this choice for me.
I just had a realization (really only applies to those who confessed having feelings for Kate) the next episode will probably start with Javi grieving over losing Kate. Conrad could really sympathize here! He was a wreck after losing Francine and maybe he can try to be there for Javi.
It's also worth noting that he's really good friends with Tripp. Tripp is determinant now, maybe he'll say something?
The conrad in my gameplay was killed just because I failed to press the right key while kate was driving the vehicle over me .
We are not sure Kate has died.
Perhaps she is like a real lucky Kenny.
And why would you want conrad to live when he's got a gun on Gabe and is trying to use Clem as a bargaining chip? Sure, the choice fizzed out to nothing, and Clem was fine, but there is no reason to believe that they wouldn't have imprisoned her or something. Groups that brand their members tend to kill off those that run away, you know. But, hey, as long as Conrad is fine, it's all good.
There was no reason to not kill him off next episode, it seems to me that Telltale is only keeping him around to encourage playthroughs that have you go along with Conner, as a way of getting you used to doing actions Clem doesn't want. Could you list the current percentage for the that choice? I bet it's dropped from when Episode 1 was released. I can't help but feel that they are planning on killing her off next episode, to get rid of all the season 1 characters. I had been planning on buying this game first thing, then I saw how Clem was sidelined and changed my mind. I refuse to buy this game when they snub Clem in this way.
Conrad died saving me in episode 4. I want him to live and so i will play episode 4 again. First i thought he dies saving us (as if there is no choice) but then i saw a walkthrough and realized that conrad need not necessarily die.
TTG You guys are a joke!
LOL why wont you bring beck Lee and Kenny while youre at it.. SMH

Even more proof that Conrad is a better Kenny/Sarah-type than Tripp ever was.
Considering they made it a point to have Tripp shot in the neck instead of being blasted in the head like Ava I'd say there's a good chance we may stumble across his walker in the next episode. Should lead to some interesting reactions (possibly another Conrad determinant death).
There's also the fact that it gives Eleanor a chance to say goodbye if she's quick enough.
Did he really want to though? He does regret it later on.
I honestly hope Conrad outlives most of the characters just to make a point but I think he will die in some sort of karma redemption way by saving Clementine from death only to be killed himself in sacrifice.
im with you. spread the message
honestly i would never sell clem out to save conrad . i wish there was a fake out option. like say we would go with the plan. then wait for conrad to his guard down then stop him from being a threat with out killing him or betraying clems trust
conrad is a good and interesting boy. i love him.
Ironically enough, that was my mental backup plan: give the group and Clementine the go ahead to run like hell while having Conrad go apeshit in the event things go totally sideways.
nah but telltale to good for that. we cant get both. so i choose clem's trust lol.
but if i was in javier's situation i would just fake out conrad
You know it's kind of sad to see how low the statistics are for Conrad
Even sadder to see how it dwindles further
I'm curious what the percentage of people who managed to save Conrad in episode 4 was.
It is a bit sad but it's sort of rewarding in a way. Those few people who gave Conrad a chance got a really cool character out of it that not everyone has.
Where did you get the statistics on the Conrad gun choice? I don't recall seeing it in-game.
He's still alive in my game, best thing in a new frontier really.
If you connected your Telltale account go to your profile and click on the "choices" tab.
Read the title again. Nobody asked.
You sure are going to lose your mind when you just lost your wife, your friends and your home unexpectedly to people you don't even know and had no control of whatsoever. People do things that they regret later on when shit happens to them. Once you undergo deep trauma and stress, you just lose your mind.
After episode 4, I completely regret shooting Conrad in episode 2. Telltale should have just made the choice be 50%.
How could they "make" it 50%? They don't control who picks what.
Most of people killed Conrad because of Gabe and Clementine. They shouldn't have been involved in that.
I hope they run into some survivors from Prescott and If Conrad or Tripp are still alive they would give a speech to them and go back to Rebuild Prescott ((If Tripp and Conrad are alive Tripp would give the speech and If tripp is dead and Conrad is alive Conrad would give the speech if both are dead they would just be discouraged and leave.))
Tripp s speech would be about Survival and never giving up and Conrad s speech would be about the Lost loved ones and Friends and how they would never have wanted for them to give up which is why they should rebuild Prescott and live on for the ones they lost.
They absolutely should've. That's what made it a difficult choice.
Conrad to me is like Larry to me. I have no idea why people would choose to bring them along as I couldn't stand them even for a second in my company.
It was just TOO easy for me.
atleast watch his scenes before commenting as pretty much the only thing he does bad is the episode 2 scene in the ending of the episode.
And now you wish you'd saved Conrad.
Majority of people didn't get to see Conrad proving himself
Well that's their loss. Majority may have killed him but it was a good and difficult choice. Telltale's not at fault if most people killed him. It just means most players aren't willing to take chances, so those that did give Conrad a chance were rewarded for it.
I partially agree. I think simply having Gabe panic and try(and fatally fail) to kill Conrad himself if you don't make a decision would be enough to get the point across.
