My plea to Telltale: PLEASE DON'T KILL JAVIER GARCIA

I know lots of people have mixed feelings about A New Frontier and a lot of people fight all the time about how things should or shouldn't go down but I really do think that Javier should survive and be the protagonist in the next season. Despite all the hate the new season is getting, I think Javier's story is very interesting and getting to play as him really made our decisions have more weight to them. He isn't a bad character whatsoever and I do believe the fan base can relate to him. That being said, this is not to say Clementine should be written out. I love Clementine and I think she should also get a role. Maybe instead of having her be playable in flashbacks you can divide the roles between Javi and Clem. There have been plenty of times this season that could have lent themselves to that.

For example, maybe instead of having Javi break himself out of the cell, you could have played as Clem trying to break him out. Or depending on our choices maybe that would determine who we follow for the time being. That being said, please don't pull another Lee moment on us. Javi's story can't end here. He needs to be there next time along with other characters. I do believe getting rid of him will be a huge mistake. Please discuss if you agree or not. NO TROLLING OR INSULTING OTHERS. BE REASONABLE.

If they kill Javi in episode 5, that will probably be one of the dumbest things they'd ever do. If he dies then there was no point to this season whatsoever and it would be cryptic as hell. Shit, he survived the apocalypse without incident for 4 years and now we get to see his story only to find out how, in a matter of days, his entire family died along with him? that's very stupid if you ask me.

  • Meh. I personally haven't been able to feel much of a connection to him or a deal of the new characters, most of the ones I've had a lot of time with half felt more like caricatures than genuine characters, which kills any real sense of me relating to Javier. Unless this last episode really hits a high note, continuing on with the Garcias is going to change season 4 from a likely to a maybe I'll check it out. As it stands right now,

  • IF JAVI DIES WE RIOT!

  • yeah true it kinda is. i lot of this game has been stupid and poorly written. i really do hope that javi carry over to the next game. maybe you will switch between character's almost how gta5 did in a way idk.

  • hopefully episode 5 can fixes all the problems of the rest of the game

  • idk if id be super pissed if javi dies. but i believe he can mold into a father or older brother figure for clem's teenage life

but if clemXgabe happens im muthafuckin rioting

  • I don't think he'll die. (he better not)

I'm just hoping that all of Javi's friends won't die. All previous seasons killed or separated every character of our main group except for the few important main characters [S1- Lee, Clem at the end; S2 - Clem, Jane, Kenny at the end]. And that wasn't such a good move. Why kill all those people? For once we need a season that doesn't end with "NO LOOSE ENDS. NO EXCEPTIONS." Have it open ended, and then if you do, leave it that way. Sometimes an answered question is worse than the uncertainty of someone's fate (see: Season 2 open-endings and Season 3 resolutions)

  • I'd be super upset if Javi dies honestly. I feel like after season 1 and 2, I finally want to see a decently happy ending for Clem. The best case scenario would be that she finds AJ and ends up sticking with Javi. The 3 of them would make a great little team.

  • i love my awkward baseball boy Javier Garcia

  • I don't see Javi dying, I'm really hoping we get to see his story continue though. He's such a cool character!

Clem needs family. This was obvious in episode 4.
I think Javi is the most suitable adult to be her family. Like having a father/daughter or older brother/sister relationship.
She is still a child and need someone to guide her. Like Javi did when she got her first period.

Even Robert Kirkman didn't kill all of his characters.
Rick, Carl, Andrea, Michonne, Maggie and Sophia survived for many many seasons in the comics.
Why can't Telltale do the same with Clementine and Javier?

  • I really hope he doesn't die. Unlike the majority, I actually liked him since the beginning and felt connection. I love his story and I would be very upset if it ends with him dying. I want to see it continue. If he survives I will be very happy. If he dies - I am going to start a riot. Javi is a cool character and doesn't deserve the hate he gets.

  • This Telltale forum isn't a majority.
In Steam you can see the majority loves this game so I assume they like Javi.

  • I really like Javier. He's cool. It would be the dumbest thing ever if Telltale decide to kill him(even if it's sacrifice for the others). I want Gabe gone, not Javier(am I bad person for shipping Javi and Clem? And am I the only one?). If they kill Javi, then season 3 would be pointless

I would like to see an older Clem in love with Javi.
But obvious it is gonna be Gabe. Lol
I like how Clem show up more similar to Season 1 Clem.
In season one Clem stood up too with dumb characters like Ben.
Gabe is somehow season 3 Ben.

  • I like him, mostly because we can shape his personality (he can murder lots of people without giving a damn or he can show his good side; he can be loyal and honest but he can also betray and lie).
He's just a regular dude trying to do the right thing for the people he cares about it would be a shame if he would die.

  • Just like last season!

  • Dude, she is 13 and Javier is 10-15 years old than her. I am not saying you are bad but why would you want to ship a kid and an adult ? How mature she is, still she is a child. I just wanna see a strong brother-sister relationship with her or Javi could be a Lee or Kenny in my opinion.

  • nio me gustaría que muriese javi

  • He'll live since telltale is making Javier the main character of the franchise and protagonist going forward.

  • They've lost support once they introduced a new protagonist, killing Javi just to leave Clementine alone again would be just suicidal.

  • I think Gabe can change. Maybe if David dies he will man up!

  • I hope Clem and Javi are the sole survivors at the end of the season. This isn't something a lot of people will be keen on, but I've seen a lot of requests for a sibling/father-daughter relationship, and that can't really happen when there are other people around.

  • no fuck gabe. he is david 2.0 but worse. Fuck that shit. #killgabe #outtacharacterforcedbullshit

Nuking everything despite how you feel about the season is, quite frankly, ridiculous. Two negatives don't always make a positive. If you feel that ANF is already a waste of time as it is, why make it even more of one by just killing off everything and everyone? It's like trying to stop an out of control fire by dropping a nuke on it– whatever you're trying to accomplish, I don't exactly think it's improving the situation much.

  • I would like to keep playing with Javier and Clementine for another season. But not 90% Javi and 10% Clementine. I would like a 50-50 game. Episode 4 was fantastic, but if I could have played more time with Clementine, I would like it more.

  • I'm sure he will live along with Clem. I hope they don't just kill everyone off as is a custom

You do know that javi is about 15-17 years older than clem?

  • Only at for the season 4/5 finale. We need more javi screen time before he can devise ate me just like lee's death did. I will still be sad nonetheless, though. It's a wonder who the next protagonist will be, though since there has been a new playable character for each walking dead game.

  • I hope their won't be a next season. I think this season has been the finishing blow for me

  • But the thing is we haven't played as Clem at all this season. The Q and E's, choosing dialogue, and the occasional item views or whatever doesn't count for me as playing as Clem. We have not once controlled her to explore areas or talk to other people. Nothing. I just hate Telltale for the way they lied saying we would be playing as Clem as well when it's not really "playing" as her
