Hope it happens. I also hope that fans will not be such assholes and allow clem to like whoever she wants instead of hoping she is alone and miserable her whole life.

Let's not forget that in season 2 we play as Clem, there is no way that my Clem would like/love someone as gabe, in fact she will hate him because he is reckless and do a lot of things bad or that put in danger other people.
If we can choose about that relationship, it will be "fine", but if they force us this shit withouth letting us decide if we want Clem with Gabe or not, it will be another mistake from telltale, one wich i won't forget. Isn't telltale's motto "Choices Matters", they should let us chose on this then.

This won't happen. However I'm pretty sure Gabe will try to go for it, Clem hesitating take a step back and then Kenny The Savior will appear in the fog and will scream pointing right at Gabe's head: TOUCH THAT GIRL AND I SWEAR I WILL BLOW YOUR DAMN BRAIN RIGHT NOW AND HERE. And this is where Clem would decide the fate of this romance.
But seriously, I think it is up to Clementine to decide. Personally, I don't like all this Gabentine romance but let's have a look at the facts, we can see her for i think first time laughing. As long as she is happy i would do anything for it and after so many people Clem have lost she deserves to find some love again. Gabe is still a child but i think he has some material to become a man who can take care of others which is rare in a world they are living in.
You know what's more f*cked up? People constantly undermining other people's complains and thoughts.
It might happen, judging by the direction this relationship is going. However the only one mentioning their "blossoming love" is Kate, and she is either dead or badly injured.

I think most people don't really want to see her with anyone at this point in the series. People feel kind of a parental instinct for her. She's only 13, she doesn't need dating or anything like that right now. As far as her being happy goes, she will most likely get AJ back in the finale anyways. And honestly, I think teen romances in fiction are always cringeworthy anyways.
I wouldn't mine it if they used the plot to give Clem more reasons to leave Javi's group and creates a mental conflict with Clem.

I have nothing against Clementine finding somebody she truly loves. But that this somebody has to be Gabe? It just doesn't fit. She is a true, hardcore survivor and he just a moody, silly crybaby. To that, many people don't even like him (including me). There will always be people that are really overprotective over Clem and don't want her to have any kind of romantic relationship with anyone only because of that, which I can understand. As my little gamer daughter I'm a little protective over her too. But I think Telltale is making a huge mistake by matching him with Clementine. They first should make a good enough, not so annoying character before they choose to make him (or her, whatever she will prefer) a love interest for Clem.
It's not so much that people who don't want Clem and Gabe to happen want Clem to be alone for her whole life, it's just that, especially in my case, they want Clem focused more on survival and not be concerned with such trivial matters. And to go along with that, since we played as Clementine in Season 2 and technically still play as her in ANF, you would think Telltale would give us that choice, as Clem, whether or not we want to pursue a possible romantic option, whether it be with Gabe or someone else that could come along in the future. Besides, Clem can do a million times better than Gabe. He's done nothing but act like a whiny and ungrateful kid, I doubt Clem, or anyone, finds that particularly attractive.
I agree, if they gave it another season, for it them gradually get to know eachother and get closer, and gabe not being such an asshole sometimes. i would accept it.

I don't get how TT could even attempt to make this romance happen, if they do. Maybe they plan for Clem to dismiss him as "just a friend".
We have a lot of things to wrap up in E5, I really don't think we have time to do any romance for Clem ( not in any decent way ). We have a hoard of walkers spilling into town, we're still under fire from some of the New Frontier, we need to locate AJ, and somehow find a resolution as to what comes next for those who survive. Kiss? No. Hug? Why not.
I could make an exception for that if he's the only one who can, and does save AJ. Then I could see Clem being overwhelmed by emotion and kiss him out of gratitude. The first kisses would likely be AJ's if she has a motherly instinct toward him, and the kiss may or may not be on the cheek.
I severely doubt they would put in his crush just for Clem to deny him. I just wouldn't understand it. What's the point of putting the crush in the first place just for Clem to deny him?

I hope so. Job said (atleast I think it was him) that it's up to them to decide what they feel for each other. We only know that Gabe has a crush on Clementine, but not what she feels. Until now she only has been nice to him, which absolutely doesn't mean that she likes him more than a friend. So she could likely turn him down and friendzone him.
It wouldn't be unlikely. Why would Gabe's crush on her be a guarantee for her to accept that and go with it? That's just how life goes sometimes. And I definitely would love to see the reactions and consequences of her turning him down. Might even be plot relevant, given how Gabe acts when he gets turned down/or else.
Maybe he gets a fit and shoots somebody, who knows.
The way they act around each other is more of a best friends/father and daughter kind of thing.
That's what hormones are, though, they make you an asshole. Even clem has been acting edgy this season. So it isn't gabe's fault that he is a teenager, tbh it is the players fault for choosing the options that make him act like a huge asshole.
What's really going to be fucked up is how most of us still see Clem as a sort of daughter figure because of her relationship with Lee in season 1... Yet A New Frontier is trying to get us to roleplay as Gabe's uncle/possible stepfather. So I'd imagine if they were to have a scene like that it would probably go something like this:
Gabe: Clementine I know we've only known each other for a short time but... I think I like you... Please, I need to know, do you feel the same way?
Clementine: Gabe... I-
Javi: OH NO YOU DON'T! TOUCH MY DAUGHTER AND I WILL END YOU!!!
Gabe: ...
Clementine: ...
Dude seriously, if u dont agree with people thats okay but you dont have to be "that" guy every time and on every thread. It gets annoying when someone constantly undermine other people's opinion. "Some people etc etc"
The way I see it, most people don't want Clem to be with Gabe is because of the way he acts and the way his character is, not just because they don't want her to fall in love. I'm fine with Clem having a boyfriend/girlfriend, but it can't be with Gabe because he's not mature enough for her or even ready for her.
Clementine has seen shit Gabe wouldn't even imagine; cannibals, getting kidnapped, watching her friends/family slowly die in front of her, watching someone's head get smashed in, and so much more. Not to mention she's been moving around a lot from place to place while Gabe only stayed in the van for a majority of the apocalypse.
Even the way she acts will be too much for Gabe to handle. Clem is very cautious and levelheaded while Gabe is a hothead like his Dad and constantly whines and tries to do what HE thinks is right without thinking of others safety. Eventually that alone will get Clem upset with him and she'll find him annoying sooner or later.
There's other reasons why pairing Clem with Gabe is a terrible idea, but that's too much to list. I'm fine with them being friends, but having Clem fall for Gabe will not only disappoint a lot of fans but it'll be sooooo out of her character to like someone like Gabe. Just because she was playing cards with him and laughing DOESN'T MEAN SHE HAS A CRUSH ON HIM. Like what Clem said to Javi in episode 4 when he told her about helping with Gabe "Thanks...just trying to help him out."
Should Clem find someone to fall in love with? Of course. Should she fall with Gabe? No. He still has to do a lot to handle Clementine.

Teenager try stuff out sometimes, alone of course. "The first kiss" doesn't usually happen at 18+.
I love how she starts out with the real reason she'd never go for that type of thing with anyone. Nice touch.
