Clem and Javier = Disappointment

Telling Gabe Clem is not family is very determinant.

Javi to Clem:"I am sorry Clem"
    Clem to Javi:"but you said"
Javi to Clem:"I know Clem but this isn't worth Gabe's life"

My Javi told Gabe he couldn't kill Conrad and this is it.
    Gabe:"Yeah sure you couldn't"
At the gate my Javi told Max Clem is my friend.

I think these choices are clear for Clementine to understand the situation.

What I found odd is that even if you betray Clem and Javi basically says that she's not family so they'll use her as a bargaining chip as gu

Clementine is just a young kid.
Of course she easily forgave Javi.
Especially since she is very alone and scared in a fucked up zombie apocalypse.
We can see clearly she follows Javi and trying to prove him she is a very valuable girl to have around.
She could easily just left him.

We always are easy to think Clem has an adult mind like us.
She is just 13! I remember me at that age I was easily angry and I easily forgot I was angry.

Ive heard alot of people say that they think Conrad should "redeem himself" to Clementine, or that Javi should be able to justify his action

Clem that might be the bad influence, not Gabe.

Have you even seen some of the things Clem has done in front of Javi and the group? To anyone in that group, Clem would appear as a troubled and dangerous child. She's the equivalent of that kid in class that's lives in the bad side of town and has that rumor that she put some kid in a coma, type stuff. I would advise my nephew to be careful with her, too.

Gabe is just a nice kid. Clem is the "bad" influence.

Remember that Gabe is his nephew who he's loosely raised over the past four years, while Clementine is someone he recently met by being robbed by her and later has either cover up or tell the truth about her killing a community's weapon dealer. And now she's gonna hang around his already hot-headed but still impressionable nephew? I think there's plenty of logic to see as to why he'd say that.

  • It can still work as an apology on his part for treating her so badly ignorant of all she's been through. In fact, they should've had Conrad change his attitude there since it was his idea to use her as a bargaining chip in the first place.

Ah yes. This scene especially makes sense when you betray Clem and tell her she's nothing but a liar to you. It makes no sense why she would let Javi even touch her since even if you were nice to her, she still met you a couple of days ago max.

  • I'm actually glad that they're not as close. With TTG, i can only imagine how forced and annoying that would be. Already it's kind of forced.

Clem has no purpose in ANF. She's just there. She's like the Mark or Doug of this season. Only thing notable to say is the flashbacks. They should release all the flashbacks seperate in chronological order and put them in a seperate DLC and just let me play that. I could care less about ANF at this point.

  • This may have been true in the old world, but in the zombie apocalypse, Clementines actions are far more reasonable than anything Gabe has done so far (with the exception of shooting that guy in Prescott)

  • Don't blame the game for your stupid decisions.

I initially told Jesus not to worry about her, and lil Javi goes off on this speech about how she's nothing. I literally had to exit the game twice in episode 2 because of his dickheaded responses that weren't reflected in the options given. But "your wife is gonna leave you because she loves me now! Thanks for giving me a place to live btw" Javier is such a swell guy. Yay Javito!

Clementine doesn't do much this season, but when the story needs her, she has a flashback, etc.

    Maybe a bad comparison lol.

  • so it's reasonable to run tied up while people with AK 47s all around you to attempt to tackle someone who is armed to save some guy's life that you met 5 days ago?( season 2, episode 2)

It's reasonable to put out a guy in a aggressive matter that you considered your friend just for a clue and for siding for the man that got him to care for life again. And her reaction after is "Huh, finally."

she shoots a man in a fit.

Too blinded by revenge to leave with Javi and the family, In the shoot out.

All of her swearing, flipping people off, spiting in faces.(determinant, minor) these are understandable.

  • Clementine says "Huh, Finally" because she finally knows where AJ is

She shoots a man who pulled a knife on her and Javi, and also doesnt seem to care that he sold her faulty bullets (we will never know whether or not the faulty bullets or the one that fired is the exception here, but since he doesnt seem very concerned with Clementine holding a gun to his face, we can assume that the working bullet was the exception)

Staying behind to deal with the New Frontier was the smart move, if Clem and Javi (determinantly) didnt stay behind, The New Frontier would have just followed them to Richmond (which they admittedly do anyways, but people like that arent gonna give up just because you leave)

She says it as if she just got the new xbox and just had to wait in line. She just killed a friend or/and hastily puts him out. "Huh, finally." seems like Lingard was the kid in the line that got in the way of the xbox.

    She shoots a man.

Eli is a ass. but doesn't make the scene anymore less responsible. Even if the bullets weren't fake, come on, you have this adorable little girl pointing a gun at you. I won't take her serious, either. Unless, I knew her. And if I did, I jump out the nearest window because the D on her hat stands for death and I don't want any of that. Also, Clem points the gun at Eli first. She creates the life or death situation with the knife, not Eli.

  • meeting a friend in school and meeting a stranger in a zombie apocalypse are two COMPLETELY different things.

Nope, the core is the same. Simple. "You don't need to spend a certain amount of time together to become friends with someone".

why even have them as choices in the first place, huh?

Did you not read my comment? [...] in order to create the illusion of choice.
Telltale could easily remove these false choices and write their games in a linear way. The outcome would still be the same.

Pretty much this, as I got the feeling that Eli simply didn't think she'd actually pull the trigger from how he flinches and only gets up to stab her when she actually did. From that and the fact he was clearly afraid of her after being disarmed, I also got the idea that it really was just a few faulty bullets rather than outright fakes, but he didn't really care due to the implication that Clementine had created trouble in Prescott before and having Javier alongside her just convinced him she wanted to scare more product of him.

funny, reminds me of the exact opposite, where javi has the option to say "We don't need you" to Jesus, which sounds negative and angry but actually isn't. I chose that because Jesus' moral grandstanding was pissing me off, and I wanted to tell him off.
