(SPOILER) Clementine foreshadowed that betrayal.
On my second playthrough and she's foreshadowing some stuff serious stuff.

Yep, I knew I should have trusted her about Eleanor.
Clem is always right.
Always trust someone you have known from the previous seasons.
I still prefer that Clementine would turn out to be wrong about Eleanor being trouble. Heroes can't be right about their intuitions all the time, else the audience have no incentive to make up their own theories about characters they meet if all they need to do is listen to what Clementine says about what she thinks.
Besides, Eleanor's 'betrayal' just doesn't hold much weight if just one vague hint from Clementine is meant to foreshadow everything about Eleanor's treachery, especially since the fact that we barely know anything about her before she turns traitor.
Clem just better be wrong about AJ being dead
I trust clem its my girl
This.
And she's never left anyone.
for the sake of the pun
Same. Especially given she technically murdered a guy in the scene beforehand and no doubt heard Eleanor talking about it.
2 things that telltale did right about clem in anf....one is her looks and the other is her ability to study people's minds, thoughts and behavior
Could've stood to be a little more specific, but I think everyone knows what you mean.
Personally, I was not only hoping Eleanor would be proven to be the Samaritan she is with no "betrayal" in sight, but also that Clementine being wrong about her would actually have a point to it. The timing of that "foreshadowing" and the relatively tacked on nature of the event in question seemed a little too convenient.
Plus, we literally did similar shit in the previous Season with Kenny and it could be a little insufferable at times given his attitude and actions beforehand. Not to say that doing the opposite with Jane was handled anywhere near properly but still.
Plot twist: Clementine arranged David's execution.
Honestly I think that Eleanor is apart of the New Frontier that's why the people here like her and if you hear her talk about Doctor Lingard it souds like she already knew about his addiction.
Her deal with Joan basically allowed her to stay in Richmond despite her connections with the Garcias and she worked with Dr. Lingard for an entire day, so its possible she heard about or even noticed the symptoms of his addiction.
Yeah your probably right I guess we won't know til the finale comes out.
The "Eleanor is part of The New Frontier" thing goes on??? Give me a break!
Other people were saying it too? Well its nice to know I'm not the only one lol.
I did that with Bonnie and I ended up taking a shotgun blast to the stomach.
Actually, I believe that was a rifle. And to be fair, she had no control over that and even determinately seemed to have a bad feeling before it actually happened.
