  • BIG SHIT NO

  • No. Rick's group gets into too much shit. Especially with Negan around.

No, that is bad idea. If Jesus refered to A New Frontier events and stuff related to Javi or Clem...that would be like really cool, cant wait to see what they got hiding in their sleeves. Even similarity of Clem/Ava conversation in E4 flashback and Rick/Carl conversation in Issue 167 isnt coincidence, but its superb easter egg

  • It fails at a) the fitting actress and b) the VOICE! Melissa is 50% of what makes Clementine.

  • I don't like the TV show as much as I like the games but I would like to see how they'd introduce her and all. And if they fuck up, I'll turn my back on the show forever.

  • Clementine is too good for the tv-show. No!

  • No the tv shows writing is shit

  • Being in the comic would make more sense, I'd love to see Charlie adlards drawing of Clem

  • I would actually start watching again if she was in it, even though it already has better!Michonne, Eugene, and Negan the Eye Candy.

Might be possible and I don't get why some are against it. Video games are within the same world as the comic supposedly and TV show is based off the comic.. Theoretically the shoe could have access to video game characters as well just like it does with comic characters. Unless AMC had to directly discuss character rights with Telltale game's C.E.O and not just Robert Kirkman and sky bound I guess.

At this point even though ratings and reviews have dropped a bit for both game and TV show. I think the show would see little need to add Clementine since they are doing okay with the gigantic sized cast they already have to pay and deal with yearly.

  • It WOULD be interesting to see that happen, but the problem is that it would completely defeat the purpose of making the games.

  • Have you even seen the show? The writing is superior. Look what they did to Shane and the Governor. Those two are way well written then they are in the comics.

  • No. Big NO.

Would be fine if Clem joined the comics, because you don't need an actress and voice actor then. No one can play her in real life and Melissa Hutchison's voice is the only one that could ever fit Clementine.

You can say the same thing about the comics, but they made the show. How would it defeat the purpose?

Maybe because reinterpretations of a fictional character are usually a bad idea? No real person could ever reflect Clementine the way Melissa Hutchison's voice does. Same reason why I absolutely do not want a "The Last of Us" or "Uncharted" movie to be made.

  • Considering how poorly ANF was done, I can't see how it could be much worse. Hell, I already got the channel so I wouldn't be paying just to follow her story anyway, win-win.

  • The writing used to be kind of superior

    Fixed that for ya

  • I wouldn't mind a 5-minute cameo or even the slightest mention of Clem on the show, but a main character? No thanks.

They should just make a webisode of Clem of the times that she spent with Kenny in the woods with AJ. Even if you don't know who Clem is, the causal fan will have heart felt moments because people will be able to sympathize with Kenny( He's a man that's trying to father these children.)

  • And he confirms beyond doubt that the events of the games take place within the comics universe.

Ummm...so the writer of that article was actually aware of the fact that they're two seperate universes. And still posted that bullshit clickbait. Ok then.

  • Yea I watch every episode after season 2 the show soured. So do you watch the show or what?

  • I doubt it but if they needed to, they have to have her debut in the comic first so they can decide on what to do with her character. If Kirkman or any of the writers don't know what to do with her, just make her have a cameo of some sort or even a mention of her (Ex: maybe Jesus can mention her name when asked about Richmond.)

The only problem I have with seeing Clem on TV is the actress who'll play her. Of course, Melissa can't play her but in my opinion the most important feature of her is her voice. I don't see any actress portraying Clementine exactly like her unless it's Amandla Sternberg (Rue from Hunger Games).

If your asking me then I'd say sometimes could be a bad idea. but not most of the time. AMC has generally done characters justice like Rick Grimes who is a fictional character from the comic. And non comic characters like Darryl Dixon. I'd even say AMC has surpassed Telltale with character development in many ways. First season of the game was written better than the whole TV series though. But not the game sequels.

  • Also Melissa is a voice actor and while she does a superb job like Gavin Hammond no one else can sound like them because they are not them. Especially if they aren't voice actors. Sometimes we just don't know something until it's tried.

Yes. Clementine is my favorite fictional character. Assuming they cast her well, that would be fucking awesome.

And she'd be in a much better place where people actually live for years instead of dying everytime she gets close to them.

And clem/carl would make a much better couple than the current pairing.

  • I agree with that last statement.

  • That's the point. Clem having a different voice is something I cannot accept. No matter how good a new interpretation of her might be, it would not be "Clementine". A voice of a character is incredibly important, you can't just switch it like a dress. Same goes for the looks. If a The Last of Us movie is made, Ellie and Joel simply can not be Ellie and Joel if they sound, act and look different.

  • The only way I would want Telltale's TWD on TV...is a Netflix animated series using all the original voices.

  • Knowing the tv show, they'd probably kill her off for some shock value after two episodes.

  • Clem having a different voice is something I cannot accept.

Well yeah I guess that's where we're different. I'm the opposite. But I do have a little insight as to why some people might be against game characters in the TV show.. now if I could just get to know why some don't want comic characters in the game or Clem in the comics.

  • Clementine should absolutely, one hundred percent not be on the TV show. The games take place in the same universe as the comics, not the show's universe. While you might think that they're similar enough to have Clem seamlessly appear on the show, they actually aren't. If she were to appear on the show there would be a big confusion over crossing timelines and events as they would have essentially just brought a character and her backstory and shoved it into a story where it doesn't belong.
And it's a shitty idea, let's stick with the games.

in case that Clementine appears on tv show how old will be clem?

  • if she appeared today, she would be 15 because she would have to be atleast a year older than Carl.

  • I could kinda see the comics, but not the TV show. She'd only be Clementine in name only with a random actress who'd probably look vaguely like her with a replica hat on. If Amanda Stenberg was younger I'd say she's the closet to a clementine you'd get if they put her in.

  • Could of sworn that's what many said the video game does.
