Because Clem's surname would only be important if Telltale came up with some cliché Darth Vader "I-am-your-father"-reveal.
I like that idea, expect it being another family member. Maybe one of Clem's cousins, aunt/uncle, or inlaws are mentioned in full name by one of the new member when asked about all the people they encountered out on the road. New Frontier and other groups create a " encounter book," a book that lists all of the names of all the people and groups that every survivor met or knows in the outbreak. They do this in the hopes they create a network to find lost love ones. And exchange their book with other communities in year 8 of the outbreak.
Also, I find this more realistic in finding out her last name. I personally have a big family. I can name about 20 or so members of my family. So the odds are if I lived long enough in the outbreak, I would at least connect with one of them.
I do not like this surname-mystery at all. Because Clem's surname would only be important if Telltale came up with some cliché Darth Vader "… moreI-am-your-father"-reveal. That would be absolutely terrible. Clem is and should remain just a normal girl, their one and only parents died, Lee and her saw them as zombies in Season One and that's it. Leave it like that please. She should not have a mysterious "real dad", just to add some low quality drama.

ahhhh. That would also mean AJ Goofball Garcia. Also, you're assuming that Kate is going to live and some point that they all will share a h… moreome.
Also, Gabe will have to seek someone else. This is Walking Dead not Game of Thrones. In this universe, you don't date your sister.
Wait do you actually think they're gonna dedicate any part of the story to revealing clementine's last name? As if that somehow... matters?
… more
It would be some random name, possibly even that random name, Marsh, and then everyone would be like "oh, okay. Moving on."
Perhaps she was Hector Garcia's daughter.
This will make her and Gabe cousins..
Or Davids secret child. This will make Clem and Gabe siblings.
End of Gabentine.
Lol

I don't understand this fascination with Clem's last name. Unless her last name is Grimes or someone else important to the comics (which it … moreisn't), revealing her last name does nothing for the story and would, no matter what it is, leave people just thinking, "Oh, that's her last name?" It would just be some random name like Smith, or Stewart, or Pipinpadaloxicopolis, so I don't know why people get so worked up over a possible reveal of it.

Conrad looks nothing like her you're an idiot we get to see what her real father looks like in the first season we see him twice one in a picture frame and another one as a Walking Corpse
It would be cool to learn her last name but they shouldn't waste their time making a big deal out of it. In apocalyptic games it doesn't really matter what family you belong too. Dramatic name reveals are big deals and work in medevial stories such as Game of Thrones because in those times and those settings you were heavily judged by what family you belonged to, and it could play a big role in your life. As for the Walking Dead they may as well reveal her last name, but it would just be a waste of time and would be stupid for them to make a big deal of it. If they do this all we need is a casual conversation or something. Ultimately they should focus on more important things.

Nope, it's actually a reference to something. First person who gets it (without Googling it) wins 5 internet points.

Yes, sure. I could live with that, but the spoilers are talking about "revealing her real father". That is what would bother me, if true.
Yes. Gabe will have to find someone else. That's the thing

Her name is Clementine Clementine. Let's see if anyone gets this reference.
Mario Mario and Luigi Mario.
Pipinpadaloxicopolis The Third
People that care about the character like to build up a greater detailed picture. Even id like to know her name - doesnt mean i really need to know.
Better than Gabentine
Gabe has went too far with his crush for it to be better than Gabentine
And her sister is Orange Clementine?
That's Bonzu Pipinpadaloxicopolis The Third, to you.
Hey, it's still a less ridiculous name than Wang Fire.
"i have apple juice if you need any" hfejsefw

Here's the proper reaction for you.
P.S. Sorry for making you temporarily deaf :(
Honestly I don't think her last name is important.
Clementine is my favourite character in gaming and as much as I would like to know her last name I would be ok with Telltale not revealing it ?
