Why I actually support a Gabentine.
Don't lynch me yet, hear me out. First it doesn't need to be a romance but they are going through very similar situations. Both lost someone they loved only to find out they are still alive much later (AJ and David). Both remember being kids before but have grown up in the apocalypse. Both lost a very close friend (duck and Miria). Clem lost Lee and her parents and I feel like Gabe will lose his parents (already lost one) and his guardian, Javi. What will be important is that they will both finally have someone who not only understands them but listens to them and takes what they say seriously which is what is driving both of them crazy. Clem has watched several groups crash down because nobody listened to her and her instincts while gabe is constantly wanting to pitch in and be important. While neither is always right, neither is ever taken as a leader or contributing member to listen to, only someone to give orders to. So my conclusion is that they will leave together after finding their common ground together. Clem will teach gabe how to be less useless and Gabe will give Clem a friend. Not a dad like Lee or Kenny or a big sibling like Nick or Jane but an equal. Both will value each other's input while being honest about them. Gabe won't have to prove himself to her and Clem will finally have someone hear her plans and start treating her like the zombie killing badass she is.
I thought of this when replaying season two after trying to save nick and talking to Bonnie. Bonnie asked Clem "When is the last time someone did what you wanted?" The only honest answer is "nobody ever listens to me." That's Clem's root fear in other people, that they will just try to use her or see her as a child when she's not anymore.
As for Gabe, the revelation for his part came playing the New Frontier and trying to steal the van when the only person able to talk him out of doing something stupid is not his uncle who has been his father figure since the zombies started, not his mother figure, but Clem.
Sorry this was more of a rant but after writing this I thing it would be much better if Clem and Gabe remained very close friends that way in future seasons they can give each other dating advice lol

Honestly it doesn't seem like telltale is really interested in making a future installment and even if they did this whole "Gabentine" love story would be nothing more than annoying teenage love drama which overshadows the plot and has far more focus than It actually needs.
I'll always use this one for occasions like this.
I hope this pairing doesn't happen mainly because we already have so many pairings as is (Javi & Kate, Tripp & Eleanor, Conrad & Francine, and David & Kate) if Gabentine does happen this season will be nothing more than a love story rather than a Walking Dead one.
And trust me, love doesn't work out in the end on Walking Dead. (Rick & Lori, Rick & Jessie, Rick & Andrea, Michonne & Morgan, Etc.) If they do get together, one of them will end up dead by next season.
If it's Gabe, I'm all for it
"Why i am writing my own death wish."
It's going to be Gabe...I doubt they'll kill the main character and fan favorite over a hated one.
I'll start digging a grave for you. Got the feeling that you are gonna need it.
I know what Telltale can do to make this work in DLC. First, we could start off by making Clem playable (Telltale DID say that a relationship would be HER decision. This COULD be what they meant by that) Starting off, we could have a sequence with Clem teaching Gabe how to shoot a crossbow using Walkers for target practice from long distance (Kind of like a throwback to Season 1).
Next, we could have a scene where Gabe and Clem split up to search for food (This is where a Hub would be) Clem gathers some berries and whatnot. She also checks some traps that she set off-screen. It ends with Clem and Gabe meeting up again. She tells him that she didn't find much to eat, but Gabe however does NOT disappoint. He tells her something to the effect that "I had a good teacher."
Then we have a scene were Clem's trying to cook something (Playing as Gabe now) while Gabe takes care of some nearby walkers, as necessary, using the knee breaker technique that Clem learned from Jane and was since passed on to Gabe.
Then, (Back to Clem's perspective) we have a Snowball fight scene (Similar to the one in Until Dawn between Mike and Jess) which ENDS with the camp getting raided and Gabe and Clem getting separated (Sort of like what happened at the start of Season 2 with Christa)
If you add the Whispers in the mix.( Snowing and flesh wearing people). Then i'll give the game that horror film feel. What I mean is a Whisper is stalking them and they mysteriously discover food missing and argue that each other. Gabe goes missing the next day.
Yet another Gabentine's lover thread.
He will need it very badly
At this point I don't care what they do so long as the story is better and episodes not too short. If a Gabe and Clem hookup can be written believably then I'm not against it for a possible fourth season synopsis.
Doesn't make me rage or care much. The amount of character interaction in this game is minimal compared to the other seasons.
Oh hey. I just thought of another thing they could do. Basically, "Pick Your Poison" (Playing as Gabe at this point). Clem asks if Gabe wants some Alcohol to drink or Weed to smoke. You could stay quiet too of course. In which case, Clem would choose alcohol by default. Otherwise you refuse both of them. In that case, Clem says something to the effect that "Oh well. More booze for me." And then she would put the Weed back.
