The original plans for A New Frontier?

season 2 is the best season so
I never heard about the original plans for Season Two.
I thought Season Two was fine so I'm going to say New Frontier because there was so many things they cut out and changed that would've been interesting like the slaughterhouse. Not to mention they rewrote the season so many times.
What were the original plans for Season Two?
Ooh, that's an interesting one. I suppose ANF just because of how bare and basic it's elements feels makes me think some things were decided fairly late in development, while Season 2 suffered from lack of a consistent direction to go with it's clearly intended arcs, with an overabundance of elements that had a fair bit to them but weren't given the appropriate amount of focus and development due to the hyperfocus on outsider material.
I would choose ANF since on paper and theory ANF could be a very well done installment if executed properly.
It might help if the two original plans were explained for those who don't know what they were. I certainly can't pick without knowing.
Season 2. I haven't finished playing ANF.
I'm not 100% certain and I'm going mostly by what I've seen on Wikia and around the forums, but some of the concepts that were never used were:
-Kenny was supposed to be Carver. (I would've loved to have seen this. Clementine torn between her new friends and an old friend whose since pretty much gone to the dark side. The drama practically writes itself.)
-The group was supposed to find the Wellington camp abandoned in the finale.
-The group was supposed to find an abandoned power plant.
-There was supposed to be a tiger in the game. This was scrapped because Telltale thought it was too unrealistic. Ironically, Ezekiel and his tiger made their debut a few months later.
Season 2. It would be cool to see how they were going to make Carver turn out to be Kenny.
The original plans for ANF, since I liked S2; it was fine.
You mean, this place?
Original plans for ANF.
Wait...what were the original plans for ANF?
SEASON 1 IS THE BEST
yes
That doesn't answer my question. I'm familiar with what was cut from Season 2 during a research study. But ANF had original plans. Such as?
Season Two had amazing potential, let me see what could've been a more appropriate sequel to the Season One. Season Two wasn't that bad but it had some glaring writing issues that I bet weren't present originally.
Whoa. Is this info on the wiki? And if not, where did you get your facts?
There is a video that tells what was deleted from the main game in the Details thread.
That Sandra flashback intrigues me a lot. Sad it was cut.

Here's a list of things I've seen or hypothesized:
Isnt that just a transformer station though?
Same fucking thing from the general public's mindset.
A nuclear power plant.
It's gonna happen in episode 5.
Pretty good question, had to really think about it. I'd say Season 2. We know some of what was supposed to happen but I'd love to know what notes Vanaman gave Telltale before he left. It's kind of disturbing how many different revisions Season 2 went through. Whatever he gave them, It's unlikely any of it made it into the final game.
ANF considering it apparently didnt even have any real plans after ep 2
Pretty good list!
Though, you forgot to mention episode 2 would not have ended with the group getting ambushed and captured in the lodge, instead they would make a run for it in the woods before eventually getting caught. Also Clem would run and escape Howes with Kenny and their would be a bear attack at the end of the episode(during a snowstorm too).
Damn. Did he really say that? The game was absolutely meant to be much darker but it was toned down. I thought TTG would finally have grown balls by ANF but they cut the slaughterhouse scene too...
I believe he said in an interview that aside from two scenes, most of it was so unrecognizable that he claims no creative control over it.
Oh, was that a thing? I definitely must've missed that one.
Pretty sure that was supposed to be Luke. Then again, Mr. Sean(?) wasn't certain which one it was from what I recall, but I think it'd be better if it was Luke given the context.
I hope so
Alright, I'll take a look.
I dunno. That's a toughie. On one hand, I would've loved to have seen Kenny in the Carver role but on the other hand, I wanna know what the fuck the walker slaughterhouse deal was all about.
I think he said that most of All That Remains was pretty much the same, but the rest was completely unrecognizable from his original vision.
Your point?
(Holy shit, I thought that bear was getting ready to [ROWL!] him for a spit-second--omg where the fuck did that mental image come from?!) O_o
LOL. Nothing, just hearing that there was originally going to be a Bear attack reminded me of The Revenant.
The original plan for season 3 was Kenny to be like the evil Carver. Kenny lost it after he lost his family and started to be evil.
This storyline was rewritten and Carver was born.
And Luke was supposed to survive season 2.
Happy they rewrote Kenny, because this would have been a cheap copy of the comics governor. The governor in the comics was a Mexican man who used to be normal and nice but lost it after his brother and niece died. He stole his brother's identity.
Oh, okay. Reference lost of me!
