Father Gabriel's death. Fealt like it was taken straight up from Final Destination. Sure, Kenny's death in S3 is overforced as well, but he should at least he died a hero. Just a really unlucky hero, as he always was. RIP Kenneth.

Luke's death was pretty stupid. I didn't understand how someone can die in just 8 seconds underwater while Bonnie survived it. Maybe Bonnie was just better at holding her breath thanks to all that "sucking" she's being doing with Carver.

I think a more suiting death for Jane would have been to die trying to give herself and abortion. That, to me, would have been more in character for her. I don't think she would purposely kill herself. I think she would have tried to terminate the pregnancy.
I respect her for doing it, and I don't think she had much choice. They already had one baby, and they would have been fucked with another. … moreThen again, my anti-abortion stance would dictate that she took another human being's life through her suicide, so I hate her at the same time. Very complicated issue.
Out of character? There's no knowing how somebody could react in such a scenario. Plus, she probably knew Clementine was old enough to look after herself. She told her everything she needed to know about combat and survival.
If the game didn't have shock factor then it would be pretty shit imo. The way I see it, it was a way to tell the fans that this season will take no prisoners, and that is what it delivered. He was around for 4 episodes so it was the right time to kill him off.
Nice thread explanation. I'm going to assume you meant "what is the dumbest character death in the walking dead game" and my answer would be Omid. He was killed for nothing more than shock factor. Which was a complete waste of a great character.
Like, hey we're gonna save everyone!!! and then you see Nick stuck in a stupid ass fence. And Luke didn't even say a thing about it. What's up with these characters, they don't CARE if you die. Smh.
Sarah's death at the observatory. She just stands there on the deck just so she can get killed. Why not help Kenny with Rebecca or do something productive? It doesn't matter if you taught her how to use a gun or did everything else you could to make her strong: she will still die the same lame death.
Sarita's death if you cut off her arm. What's that, you thought your choice at the end of EP3 would matter and you'd get to travel a bit with an amputee? NOPE, we'll just kill her right at the beginning to further Kenny's character development of getting angry at the rest of the group. I'm not saying that she would have survived for long but at least make it feel like our choice mattered.
Nick's EP4 death. Laughably lazy considering the actual death and the fact he did almost nothing in EP3.
Kenny's S3 death. This has been talked about to death but man this was a really lame way to send-off a character we've known for many years.
Nick.

He needed to die to make way for more productive characters like Magna and co. All seriousness, I thought that Matthew's death was lame and Walt. How are you going to take the shot knowing well that everyone in the outbreak have weapons? "Oh, I thought he was holding you up."-Nick.Holding up what, peanut butter? We then found out that he's the lover of Walt and he dies the same episode, because of baby mama drama.

Luke. When he fell through the ice, why didn't he just go back up the hole? The one where he gets dragged down was executed better, but it was still shit.

Because Luke's leg was hurt since almost 24 hours ago and he had been limping on it for a fair portion of that, while Bonnie was able to carry Rebecca/AJ and a bottle of Earthquake around without relatively little effort. If one of them was gonna be able to swim their way out, it would've been Bonnie.
Definitely Omid.
Doug's death troubles me the most, but he had a great exit; doing something heroic.
Omid was a much loved character by … morethe end of Season 1, and they brought him back in Season 2 for like two scenes. Telltale had a real chance to develop his character and give him more screen-time, which would have made his death a lot more emotional and respectable. Instead, the whole thing felt forced and rushed.

Heh..too many have died for no reason.
Err Kenny's death in season 3.
I thought that would be the most obvious dumbest death.

The fuck are you talking about?
Comic character.

What do you mean ???
Of all the ways people die in this series, Luke dies by fucking ice breaking under him, even though the entire group just walked over the same ice
To be fair, Luke was wounded in his leg and exhausted from limping while Bonnie was much more able bodied and capable of getting along herself.
Btw, why is it hard to find compact pics of the characters smiling on the wiki? Hell, even the overused one of Omid isn't there.
Spoilers man

Run, Sarah, Run!
Without a doubt, Nick. It was incredibly lazy..
MOST STUPID DEATHS ARE MARI, LUKE, KENNY/ JANE, LEE AND OMID... THEY DIDN'T DESERVED TO DIE!!!

In S2 virtually nobody cared when a member of the group died. One of my biggest problems with the series.

Sarah, a child, died a horrible death and no one says a thing about it.
Horrible writing with that.
For real, that death bothered me.

I couldn't believe that none even acknowledged Sarah died besides Jane and Clementine after Rebecca gave birth.
Better yet, why did Luke drown but not Bonnie despite both of them being underwater for the same amount of time?

Check out my version of how i would have had Omid be killed off. As horrible as it was, my version would have had a much more heartbreaking touch
