My New Frontier data just deleted itself???
So I finished Chapter 4 and wanted to just replay that ONE chapter for a different outcome, and I started it up fine, but had to go out. Came back home and was above Chapter 4 with my cursor over RESUME and it loaded in... At the very beginning of Chapter 1. I tried to alt-tab out of the game to avoid the sync, but it already synced. That's literally over 10 HOURS worth of gameplay gone.
Is there a known issue of this happening on PC? I'm absolutely furious right now and I'm just considering not bothering again because I don't have the time anymore to go back through everything I've done to this point. Is there ANY way I can get my data back? Because now from the menu I can only select to start chapter 1 or randomly generate choices.

What? 10 hours? What do you mean, you wanted to play Episode 4 and it has reset? Then that's "just" 1.5h gone (not that it's any better).
I wanted to replay ONLY episode 4, but when I selected to resume episode 4 it sent me back all the way to the very beginning of the very first episode and reset ALL of my choices.
OK, not to be a smart-ass but that'd be 5h.
Seriously though, I never had any save game issues on PC. Are you using Steam + Steam Cloud? If so, maybe delete the ANF content in the Documents folder, and let Steam re-sync.

5 hours for you. I wasted 10 getting the choices that I wanted, and frankly I don't want to spend another 5 hours doing it all again. I'm using the Steam Cloud as well, and I tried that, but literally all it did was make it look like I never touched ANF at all. Choices are all still gone.
I spent 10 getting all the choices that I wanted. That's 10 hours of MY time. I know that a straight playthrough with no replays is roughly 5.
OK that is weird, if you open up Documents\Telltale Games\The Walking Dead A New Frontier (Season 3), are there several _saveslot1 files? or even _saveslot2 files? If there are, there should be save games, if there are not, you saves seem to have disappeared.
But if Steam Cloud is activated, I suggest deleting that folder, restarting Steam, and then starting ANF again. If that doesn't work, I am at a loss as well.
Just did that... Looks like it's all gone. Honestly don't know if I want to bother going through all of that again if it's just going to continuously glitch up and delete my saves when I try to resume later chapters.
As you surely know, you can't expect technical support from TTG on these forums. Only thing you can do is contact them directly.
Hey, I use Xbox One to play this game, and the same happened to me, but before it deleted my saved game, I restarted all the episodes again after my choices from episode 2 didn't save and randomized for episode 4??
