Why I don't want Gabe to die in A New Frontier and rest of the story
So we all know that you guys hate Gabe and you want him dead right? Well I want Gabe alive for the rest of the story because:
I think he is very important for the rest of the story, I want to play as Clem in Season 4 and I want to teach Gabe how to survive the zombie apocalypse like Lee taught her and I want Clem to protect Gabe like Lee protected her and eventually Gabe changes.
If there is a Season 5 I want to play as Gabe and Clem, it switches some scenes we play as Clem, some scenes we play as Gabe, like we did with Javi and Clem in A New Frontier, and as Clem we protect AJ and Gabe could protect him too.
(Most people will disagree on me with this one) I want Clem & Gabe to someday be a love relationship because I think it's time if Clem found someone she loved besides AJ because she has said in A New Frontier she had no one she truly cared about expect AJ.A
Those are my reasons I want Gabe to live throughout each season I think he is very important to the story most of you will probably disagree with me but I want him to change and be the survivor he's meant to be for The Walking Dead.

Woops my bad there's a typo in there.
Useless kid doesn't even know how protect himself after 4 years. He's not worthy of being Clementine's apprentice
It's not really Gabe's fault he doesn't know how to survive really you should blame Javi & Kate for not really teaching him
Also Gabe can change you know if TellTale keeps him around (God I hope)
Another "Leave gabe alone" thread I see. Seriously I know people love to justify bad characters but Telltale must intend for gabe to be a despised character after episode 4. No other way about it really.
I'm not saying for people to leave Gabe alone they can hate on Gabe all they want I'm just saying I want Gabe to live and I think he's important for the rest of the story
4 years! That's long enough to watch and teach himself
Not really they didn't seem to teach Gabe how to aim properly with a gun and how to kill walkers with melee weapons all they really said was to hide in ''cars'' if you heard a walker or saw one they didn't give Gabe or Mariana a gun or anything else to defend themselves.
Since where was any evidence about them not teaching them to fight present in the game? And didn't Javier only instruct them to stay in a car to hide out the herd? Correct me if I'm wrong with anything because I'd hate to sound like a fumbling idiot
I don't think there ever was a scene of Gabe being taught how to survive and has there ever been a moment where Gabe killed a walker or human? I don't think so
i like gabe as well, and i feel that he was intended to be disliked after episode four considering how bothersome his actions were. i feel that he will end up changing in ep 5, and although i don't like the romance aspect of clem and gabe's relationship, i feel that he may survive for it.
Not sure if season 4 would still focus on Javier, but I'm not really fond of characters dying just cause they're disliked.
I don't know about Clem and Gabe having the Lee and Clem type relationship, but I really like Gabe.
I also ship it.
Where does Javi fit into your idea?
although gabe was disliked prior to episode four, it wasn't to this extent. i don't think he'll die due to being disliked because the episode was already pretty much finished by the time episode four came out, indicating that fan response really won't play a large role in the development of the episode.
Lol guys is Gabe that important? Everytime I come on here I only see posts of him
Out of curiosity, and not out of hate, why do you ship them? I've not seen any signs of them hooking up but what's your reasoning?
I think Javi will get bit in Episode 5 while Clem & him find AJ and Gabe soon has to put him down
I just think they seem perfect for each other besides Gabe being kind of immature but I think he'll change.
i don't see javi dying, but i feel like something will happen with his dad where he has to kill him (maybe not even out of mercy) i feel like him putting his dad down will show independence and that would be ideal for his character development
Also TellTale has this audio clip:
When Clem & Gabe talked after Prescott went down and they were on the road they talk and Gabe is kind of talking awkwardly around Clem and Clem might be hitting on Gabe? I'm not totally sure. (I hope she is hitting on Gabe)
Not seeing him kill someone isn't an indication of him not being taught
Tell me, at which point he has proven himself important to the story and to the group? I must have missed that part.
As it was said before, if he don't know how to survive after 4 years, it would be a waste of time for Clem. Beside, unless AJ die it would be really hard to take care of a little child and moreover a dude who cannot even control himself.
Season 3 isn't even over yet...
Please no, not again.
He wasn't even created before the re-writting, so no. He was never important.
Why would Clementine teach a worthless kid how to survive when Gabe had Javi and Kate to teach him in these years? Piece of shit doesn't even know how to kill walkers and Clementine is braver than him.
Telltale will never do something like that. They know he gets a lot of hate.
I wanted Clementine to teach people who are very nice, no-trouble, friendly and loyal to her. She never should teach whiny shitcocks who don't know how to stop whining or how to be man.
I don't think Gabe killing his father would be ideal for his development, especially if it's not out of mercy. If he showed the ability to talk his father down from doing any great harm to Clint ( determinately ) - I think it would show a turning point in his character from talking Javier into shooting Conrad ( or at least attempting to if you didn't shoot Conrad ).
I don't think his character is entirely unsalvageable, but I have doubts as to how many people would get behind a Season developing Gabe/Clem/and AJ as a nuclear family unit. In Kirkman's WD universe, the nuclear family unit is always destroyed. ( Examples - Rick's, Hershel's, Morgan's, Carol's, Michonne's, Allen's, Tara's, Abraham's, Jesse's, ect ), so even if it did happen... I wouldn't anticipate a happy ending.
I'd like one season where we don't have to be a caregiver or having to teach someone how to survive. I would prefer if Gabe naturally became a decent survivor on his own rather than having to be taught by Clementine. In regards to Gabe and Clementine in a relationship I'm all for it down the road when they have legitimate chemistry and happens organically opposed to what we have. One main reason I'm opposed to Gabentine is due to the fact that if they become a couple one of the main storylines would be a teen love drama which I will pass on. Not to mention I don't want to deal with a heartbroken Gabe when they inevitably breakup.
Okay what about that scene in the tunnel? He seemed to be struggling and he asked for Javi's help
he was taught to survive i'm pretty sure, as he has a gun. we've rarely seen him use it due to the fact that he has not been in very many scenes where he needs to use it. we'll probably see more of this in episode 5 if he actually has been taught
He hasn't proven himself yet but he still has that chance in Episode 5
It's not really Gabe's fault he doesn't know how to survive you should be blaming Javi and Kate because they never seemed to teach him how to defend himself from walkers all they said in Episode 1 was to hide in ''cars'' if they heard or saw one they never gave him a weapon same with Mariana
I realize that I'm just saying I want in Season 4 Clem teach Gabe to survive and Season 5 you can play as Clem & Gabe but maybe I'm going to far in the future you're right about that.
Seriously dude you think if a kid always fucks up in a zombie apocalypse he can't have a crush on Clem or maybe a love relationship soon? You're like a dad trying to keep your daughter away from a boy expect this time you want him to get eaten by walkers
You kidding right that kid had one from the most awful writing moment on this season and you say he is important.
Your second point would be valid if we were talking about Sarah and Carlos since Carlos intentionally shielded and hid the reality of the apocalypse from her. Gabe has been exposed to the harsh realities of the apocalypse which at minimum should have gave him a basic understanding of how to survive and adapt which he has not. The idea that Gabe has lived 4 years in the apocalypse without learning little to no survival skills with or without help is beyond unrealistic. Gabe is not like Sarah who never experienced the actual apocalyptic world and was greatly sheltered from it to the point of making her fatally vulnerable if she was to be separated from Carlos and exposed to the real world. Gabe has had to scavenge and travel which means he should know how to somewhat survive and adapt to the apocalypse.
he is actually one of the major and more important characters this season as he affects the plot a lot and recieved a lot of screen time as well
I'm not entirely certain it will happen. I'd just like it too. I only know that Gabe has feelings for Clem, I have no idea if it goes both ways. I just like both characters a lot and enjoy their relationship. Plus their dialogue is great and amusing. Made me really go"aww" when Gabe had set aside a gun for Clem and she said she already had one.
Yeah right so Gabe can snitch on Clementine too for saving his ass. Imagine this:
"Clem, shoot him!" [Gabe is held hostage again(lol)]
"But are you going to snitch on me too?"
"No I will never do that again I swear Clem!"
"Okey" Clementine says and shoots which saves Gabe.
Gabe cleans his clothes from dirt and turns to Clem while bringing up a megafon from his tiny pocket
"Why did you shoot him Clem!? You are murderer! Uses the megafon "Everyone! Clem shot an innocent person in cold blood! Clem is a murderer!"
[Shoot Gabe] 60% player choose to shoot Gabe.
[Smack Gabe unconscious with the pistol] 25% choose to smack Gabe unconscious.
[Threaten Gabe with the pistol to shut him up] 10% choose to threaten Gabe with the pistol to shut him up.
[Run away] 5% (<-- Gabentine shippers) chose to run away.
Great minds think alike then! I kind of have this thought too!
what if it comes to Javi and Clem confront David when he is going amok, and there will be a heavy arguments between Clem and David. Then out of nowhere when he feels cornered, David pulls his gun towards Javi and/or Clem. Fed up with the feud among his family, Gabe then decides to step in?
I dunno tho, just my two cents...
It seems that everyone kinds of obsessed with him XD
Yeah, he's like this Season's version of Kenny from a community standpoint--people won't shut up about him.
I don't care about the screen time the long screen time of character doesn't mean a shit if its have been writing so poorly.
Same. Friggin A Same!
I definitely never wanted him to die to begin with, but my projected plan from day one also included him and the other Garcia's being put on a bus so that, if Telltale decides to bring them back for Season 6, they can use that timeskip to developed their characters offscreen and maybe iron out a few issues based on the feedback for ANF.
Of course now, I think it's safe to say the usual shipping contingency plan will likely happen--which people will hate anyway, hypocritically so in fact--but with Thicker than Water, I don't see them pushing Gaybentime any time soon or later.
He does but he would better do something really freaking great to redeem himself after all he did.
I think @Chibikid explained it well in the post above. No surprise he didn't give a weapon to Gabe as when he gets one, he threaten an unnarmed man few hours later.
Everyone make mistakes at some point, but Gabe is a special kind of troublemaker. He's selfish and impulsive. I'm sorry but I don't want to wait until I see a moment when he puts Clementine in danger just because he wants to prove what a man he is, just like it happend with Javi. So yeah, if I were her dad, i definitely wouldn't let my 13 year old daughter have a romantic relationship with someone like Gabe.
