Imagine the ending of Episode 5
Imagine after some horrible emotional shit happens during Episode 5, and at the end of the game Clementine loses her hat, but then Javier is all like "You can have my baseball hat", which could make him turn into a father figure to Clem much like how Clem's step-father gave her her hat.
How would you view Javier then?

For me, the original Clementine's hat is irreplaceable and it would be a shame if she wouldn't wear it anymore at least for now. Also, just because Javi would give her a hat, I don't think it would change my point of view on him.
I know Clem's hat is iconic and basically part of her, but if they show her accepting her losses and moving on, we could see her changing and developing. Also she'd still be wearing a baseball hat, so.

Technically we haven't seen him, only once as a walker, and once on a photo. Not alive in a scene.
Clementine can't lose her hat. It's a part of her. And no, not metaphorically. It's literally part of her body. She had it surgically attached to her head between Seasons 1 and 2.

I agree. People are all over this subject when they don't realise that it was only brought up by one telltale employee, it was mentioned in the middle of a new frontier when it could have been mentioned 5 years ago, and if it were true I think somebody like job would have confirmed it.

No javi can not be a father figure to clem cus he didn't do what it take him to make him a father figure as lee and kenny did the both two were ready to give thier life for clem and they guided her and protected her they were allways for her. javi from the other look the only think that go in his head is his family to protect them was it by the choice of the player or not but him protecting clem its only goes by the choice of the player when he chose to cover for her for killing eli or staying with her to fight the new frontier or shooting conrad that only by the choice of the gamer not like lee he will protect clem no matter what the gamer want that or not kenny will protect clem in season 2 if she asked for it or not javi will protect her only with the player choice so its not coming from javi it self javi will care for clem if the player cared javi only care about protecting his family At time.
So the true name of the relationship between javi and clem right now is" just friend".

Speaking of which, I never got to see a walkthrough of s2e1where player chooses to give the hat to the girl when she asks to.

To be fair, Clem's head got considerably bigger by now so her hat is probably stuck. That is how wearing hats 24/7 for 5+ years works, right?
Same here, I had 5 years of basic English in class, but that was never enough to reach the level I am at now. I taught myself by watching movies and playing games in English.

Time-Skip. Similar to how the Season began. Javi is looking out for walkers with either Kate or Eleanor (Depending on whether Kate lives or not). They get back on the road. Gabe and Clem are sleeping in the back (Determinantly, Gabe has an arm around Clem). A.J. is sleeping in the second row seat, while Javi and someone else is talking. At the end, Clem remarks something to the affect that "Adults can be such jerks." Gabe replies back "See? This is what I was talking about."
Addendum: Clem gives Gabe a peck on the lips.

Clementine should of really lost her hat when she fell into that river before meeting Sam the dog and when she fell into that frozen lake. If she hasn't lost that hat by now. I don't think she ever will. Nothing Javi does can really make me care that much more about him. I'm just playing as him to complete the story and find out more about Clem and AJ.
