I don't doubt they were good. I doubt the main series will keep going as it is without Clementine.
Or can you picture the comics going on as they are without Rick and Carl? Or the TV show?
Yes, yes, it's TWD and people die. But there also need to be consistent characters that carry the series. For TTG it's Clementine.
And if they announce a subsequent season that continues upon the previous, people will expect Clementine at the very least be a major plot point. (I for one don't need her to be playable, but a major focus.)
If she was such a "vital" life source for the series then shouldn't those have been terrible and bad in sales? They didn't have Clementine i… moren them and were decent to pretty good. Granted they were side series it shows telltale can have other character focuses without clementine that are enjoyable and potentially be successful. And having Clementine continue living could be quite a disaster down the line seeing how Kenny spanning 3 seasons turned out for him.
Javier has replaced clementine as the main character of the series and telltale has shown that a clementine isnt a main character or relevant to the story. It also comes to the point that I'm quite sure if clementine continues to live it's only a matter of time until she gets the Kenny/Jane treatment.

Clementine is reduced to 2 minute flashback playability with contribution or bearing on the story.
Plus telltale said this is Javier's story and Javier is the main character. Clementine is just an afterthought that telltale continues to insert for fan appeasement.
What's your point? I already said the series might go on. But not for long without Clementine, since having a whole new cast is not appreciated.
Just because TTG does it, doesn't mean it's good. I can force food down your throat you don't like, but you won't let me do that for long.
* Main protagonist
* main focus of story
* plot revolves around Javier and his family

My point is clementine is not an irreplaceable part of the walking dead where if she is not present or a main character that the series will die. If telltale is able to make future seasonal content without clementine that is genuinely good with a well written protagonist I don't see why people would object to it. I'd personally prefer they move on from Clementine if it means saving her a Kenny/Jane fate. People shouldn't be so immensely obessed and one minded with clementine that it prevents them from trying to embrace walking dead content that is good without clementine.

Exactly. Just because its not Survival Instinct level of failure doesn't mean everything is fine and dandy. Sales of S3 compared to S1 and 2 are exponentially low, also considering they have about double the amount of staff now to pay, that doesn't correlate well with the lower sales. Not to mention more than HALF the buyers of their other games are walking dead fans who buy them to ease the wait between seasons (Like TWAU and Tales) Now that most of their customers are pissed, they haven't been buying the other games and this certainly shows. Just look at Guardians. Guardians all time peak was merely 906 players. 906. Not even I expected it to be that low, but the retaliation is certainly showing.
And has also nearly surpassed season 1s negative reviews, and already passed season 2s negative reviews on steam, all within a matter of mon… moreths, which is a bad look compared to the years the previous games have been around. When your franchise is thriving, it's a good thing. When your franchise is just surviving, it's Resident Evil 6.
Kill clem in the throwaway season where she was cast aside as the background character with no real involvement making her purely shoehorned? Yeah, If telltale could have done that to her I can see them killing her for MUH shock. I don't exactly put it past them. But I know she wont die so I'll sleep well at night.
She certainly feels dead thanks to TT removing her as the protagonist and shoehorning her into the story with those terrible flashbacks of her part of the story and poorly written ways to keep her in Javi's, acting nothing like her S1 or S2 self that I carefully constructed, and how half the time she's just standing in the background arms crossed with some glare on her face. Seriously though, on one hand if Clem dies I won't be all that sad about it considering what TT has done to her, but on the other it would be a shame to waste such an amazing character that I've grown so attached to in the previous installments.
I've noticed that as well. Starting especially after In Harm's Way from season 2 where many believed the game series had began to seriously get bad up until now ... But ya know I honestly think they made a slight comeback with Thicker Than Water. Fourth ep. Was strongest New Frontier had to offer since release. Praying it gets topped by the finale now.
I've noticed a decline in material regarding any season of the Walking Dead appearing on the internet after the conclusion of season 1. I th… moreink there's just not as much hype surrounding the series anymore. (I happen to love season 3, though.) Don't know about the sales figures, but the two are likely conected.
I agree. There was so much discussion during season one that just petered out once season two started (especially after what happened with Omid). ANF has started to pick up momentum from the first two episodes (which really offered very little in the way of choice variation and effect), and like you said, episode four has been very interesting. I'm enjoying it more than season two, to be honest.

Gonna be real with you, I bought the first episode of Batman because I'm a huge Batman fan. All the uncertainty around ANF and then sticking us with a new protagonist made me wary of how they'd handle the character. After playing the first "2" episodes of ANF, I easily passed on a 10 dollar season pass for Batman during the Xmas sale. I have no interest in seeing a character I love being butchered by them.

Clemintinenwill not die. She will survive with AJ and turn up in a future series with Jesus. Otherwise all of Lee's efforts (and anyone else who died helping her) would be for nothing! If they kill Clem it would be extremely dissapointing.

Lee's sacrifice is worthless if our Clem is gonna die... NO WAY... Lee's guiding Clem in her heart...

And how is it received that "Javier has replaced" Clementine? Same applies as five comments above.

That's why he said IF
Yeah, have you people forgot the last time someone in this game predicted she would die? Cough,cough Chuck cough,cough
And we all know how that ended.
IMO Clem should die and so should the series.

But she's already dead inside OP.
How can you keep typing it to yourself that she isn't?

All the people who think Clem will die, will actually die themselves?
Exactly.

That's what I'm saying, Lees death was different even tho he was the main charater in (season 1) which he pass on his survival skills too Clem.
If they kill her off the series Would be pointless.
