Timeskip in Ep.5?
So there's been rumors that a timeskip might happen in Ep.5 spanning from no more than a year.
This has been bugging me all day. What purpose does the timeskip serve? The only thing I can think of is Javi and the rest running Richmond and it'll skip to a year later and we'll see how things turned out. Other than that, I don't know what they're planning.

I'm assuming a timeskip will occur at the end of the episode with Javier and his crew the new leaders of a rebuilt settlement of what remains from the aftermath.
whats the source to this supposed timeskip leak?
cuz that goes against other reliable leaks
job said shit like "how much time passes between eps 1-5?" when people asked him about clem's age and dont_look_back made a prediction (her predictions are always correct just so you know) so trust her!!
If there's a timeskip that means my boy Javi lasts a while.
But the finale is only like what, 70 minutes rumors say?
Man I hope there's like a DLC or surprise extra episode(s).
Some bitch on twitter
Anyway, it's not an official spoiler that was found in the files or anything. Staff heavily hinted at it in the past that it was going to happen. Look at that with a mix of other things that are going to happen in episode 5 which makes you believe a time skip is likely. Often time's people just don't remember what staff said in the past or didn't see it, though I keep track of it.
What I am afraid of is that, due to staff mentioning the time skip a long time ago, they might have scrap it. Let's hope that's not the case though.
I didn't expect the finale to be so short, that's what's making me fearful of what will make it into the episode and what won't make it.
Well I know for sure we're probably gonna get some Kate/David/Javi drama. They've been building it up the entire time. Along with (maybe) that Gabe/Clem romance that people are divided on. But that would be brief. Then there's the hoard that needs to be addressed. With the horse, car, and motorcycle it looks like they're either leaving Richmond or leading the hoard away from Richmond. I assume the latter because Episode 5 seems to be about taking control/rebuilding Richmond. I could see that plus a timeskip cliffhanger of looking for AJ fit in a 70-ish minute mark. Gonna be real tight though and not much room for extra content.
Part of me hopes this entails the implication of their being numerous battles against the pro-Joan members of the New Frontier.
Hell, it might even involve a Russian Invasion at one point.
