So you can see how a teenager's mind can be messed up. If he were an adult, okay, I would judge him a lot, but he's just a teenager and we can't expect all of them would be "perfect" like Clem.
You don't need a reason to hate someone, irrational? Yes, but everyone dislikes someone that haven't done anything to you. And if you say you don't then you are lying. Doesn't matter if they are real or fictional there is someone you just don't like. Telltale have already said they knew most people wouldn't like Gabe, that's because he's one of those people you just don't like. To those that do like him, good for you.
I wouldn't hate Gabe this much if he did 100 small mess ups than breaking the trust by snitching on Javier and thus risking not only Javier'… mores life but his own, and Clementine's (because she was with them in the tunnel).
He blames Javier despite telling him to shoot Conrad. Not taking any responsibility at all and he wants independence without taking the responsibility.
He did this openly and had the nerve to blame Javier. It is one thing to do it privately and completely another to do it openly which greatly undermines Javier's status and trust which can reduce the survival chance greatly.
He shamelessly speaks to Clementine and attempts to increase his relationship with her despite him selling out his uncle who saved her life (yes I know that he only picked up his gun when Gabe was threatened and not Clementine which is a fault of Javier). Logically Clementine would be angry at Gabe and hate him a lot for blaming his uncle for not a… [view original content]
There is only good for choosing that choice. And why would people be depressed about it here? From the situation, refusing to trade over Clementine to unknown people because that is evil such as trading over little girls to unknown people. (this doesn't mean all who did not shoot Conrad intended to trade over Clementine)
It was hyperbole. And people keep acting like Gabe is a little shit, and they clearly don't like that Gabe sold them out yet they are happy they killed Conrad which lead to that point? So do you fookin like the choice you made or not? Is what I always ask
I don't understand. Can you clarify?
Edit: I understand now.

I feel very good about that choice.
He's a nonadult character that isn't Clementine. People hate on every child or teen that isn't her, Duck, Ben, Sarah and now Gabe. I guess people except them to all act like Clem but that would be super boring.

I didn't kill Conrad, but I'm pretty sure Gabe was telling the truth in that case, right? And sometimes the truth hurts.
No shit. He even is the one who told me to shoot him.

It's true!
Which one would you choose, beautiful lie or ugly truth?

Which is funny considering Clementine was acting relatively similar to him in Part One.
Exactly.
