Would you be happy if telltale brought back Kenny/Jane?
I know I would be very happy if Kenny came back. What do you all think?
Oh and the least they can do I bring back Lilly.

In more flashbacks, sure, but given that they both were given pretty obvious deaths, I think it would be pretty weird for Telltale to have Jane be like, "Hey, you know how I definitely hung myself and I was even a walker when you found me? Just kidding, I'm still alive!" or for Kenny to be like, "I broke my legs and then was eaten by walkers, but I'm fine!"
As far as Lilly goes, I would definitely be interested to see what happened to her, but I think I would prefer to see that in another game, or maybe a DLC or something. Clem already happened to run into Kenny against all odds in Season Two, which, even though I enjoyed seeing Kenny again and liked the role he ended up playing in the season, was far-fetched as it is. For Clem to happen to run into TWO people she knew, at separate times, verges on impossible and I think would obliterate many players' suspensions of disbelief. If we do see Lilly again, I think it would have to be in a completely different story that Clementine is not a part of.
They're done, even when it comes to flashbacks. I'm not sure what they'd do with them at this point, they've served their purpose.
I find their deaths absolutely ridiculous, so I would be completely fine with a dismissal of the utterly stupid writing.
Don't care.
Agreed! Hear, hear.
C'mon fever dream or at least something more plausible.
Sorry, just...
Jane...
some truly stimulating conversation right here
I don't give a damn. Telltale is probably just running out of ideas.
Honestly, this would be the one time I'd be okay with a retcon.
Just do something like have an episode open up on a black screen. In the background, you hear the last moments of the Kenny/Jane flashbacks, followed by Clem suddenly waking up, implying they were nightmares. Then you can wrap these weirdly specific nightmares into the narrative by claiming they were a manifestation of Clementine's fear of seeing the people she cares about die yet again, sort of like how the Clementine zombie dream Lee had in the RV was a manifestation of his fear of what happened to Duck happening to Clementine. Instead of them dying, she got separated from them, and is struggling with the possibility that they ended up dead, like everyone else she's known. Maybe Kenny really did get in a car crash, but unlike in the game, he survives it, with potentially threatening injuries, which leads to him being taken in by the New Frontier, but left behind along with AJ after Clementine is kicked out. As for Jane... well, perhaps we have her and Clementine end up in the New Frontier camp, but she attempts suicide, only for it to fail, leaving her alive but incapacitated, much like Kenny. That would also help explain why they 'died' the way they did in the nightmares. Hell, you could make the implication that the nightmares are a way of Clementine subsconsciously rationalizing what happened to them by pretending they died, so as to make it easier to cope with-- after everything she's gone through, perhaps assuming a friend is dead is easier for her to deal with than hoping they're alive. Something like that would work well enough, right?
Yes, please. THIS!
I wouldn't even mind a fever dream caused by Clementine getting sick like AJ, and Kenny/Jane found/stole medicine that brings them out of it lol. If it were stolen medicine, perhaps it belonged to the New Frontier.
No, and this is not because I have the alone ending, this is because Telltales TWD is already flying off the handle with unrealistic scenarios in A New Frontier, with main characters giving everyone shooting at them stormtrooper syndrome, among other things, frankly, I dont feel like even bringing Kenny back for season 2 was smart, since he had an emotional exit that finished his character arc by accepting ben in season 1, only to introduce him as a maniac (compared to season 1) in season 2
They are probably gonna have Kate survive that car crash, which is gonna be stupid, what happened to the grounded realism in season 1?
Frankly the biggest problem with Telltale is how they create a huge time gap every season, just have a canon ending, with a set amount of characters, and continue the story shortly after the season ends, and stop killing off every damn character, I get that death is a part of the universe, but damn, Game of Theones characters have higher survival rates than Telltale TWD characters
...Huh. Not bad. I'd rather they stay dead/gone myself, particularly Kenny, but not bad.
I'm still holding on to that the episode 1 flashback is a dream, nothing else. I will not have that bullshit tädeath for Kenny.. Nooo way.
Same here, A part me still wants to believe Kenny is alive, it just doesn't feel right he died as quick as he did
Telltale has pretty much just said that they "Know that they messed up killing Kenny and Jane" which is why they got bonus flashbacks in ep 4. So thats probably about as far as we are going to see them again. If they do appear in ep 5, itll be a flashback.
Nah, I don't want them to return. They can't. Telltale made it very clear to me that they meant for them to die, and it was not a dream, back when I first saw that flashback. It would be doubly-worse by doing a 180 and saying "They're not dead guys... do you still love us?" Would seem too much like fan-pandering for the sake of fan-pandering.
Their ships has sailed. So no, but it'd be nice having flashbacks every once in a while.
I don't want them back because telltale would only further ruin the characters through poor writing and being lost in this love zombie drama.
I love that idea so much!! PLEASE let this happen!!!!
We saw jane dead we only heard kenny getting attacked ... Just like season one ... I want him back , a final season where he comes face to face with lily who still gates him for what he did to Larry , and clementine in the middle ! Take my money xD
Lily in military group taking it personal to hunt down kenny as he tries to get his happy ending of getting to Florida , throw Christa in the mix and clem and it could be a great final season
They should return because of how insultingly stupid their exit was. I would be happy to overlook the deaths if they introduced them back, even if the method to bringing them back is bullshit because their deaths are also bullshit.
Also as for Lilly, since it's a discussion here, she should return. Somehow. Or even have a DLC for herself. Since Telltales original plan with her exit failed, they still have a chance to introduce her. I know some people are sick of returning characters but I'm also sick of new characters that die anyway. Entering every single season with a different group DOES NOT leave emotional attachment.
ANF should just be a bad nightmare tbh.
Anything but the stuff Telltale did.
(your explanation is very nice tho!)
Didn't like Kenny, only went with Jane because she reminded me of Molly and had some good survival skills (other than that, she was kind of annoying). So I'd prefer them both to stay gone.
No. There is no way to do that that wouldn't be contrived. Telltale screwed up and they have to own it. A rewrite or another implausible character reappearance would only make things worse. The alone ending should have been everyone's ending if Telltale intended to gloss over Kenny and Jane's (lazy) deaths.
In what context?
Because I don't see how either of them could return to the game as living characters in the present.. it wouldn't make sense (unless there is a specific ending that you can have where one of them is still alive).
So no? I don't want them resurrected.
Kenny: I got lucky...real lucky.
Clem: I saw you get eaten!
Kenny: .....real real lucky.
I am sorry, I had to xD
That moment when they should hire a fan as an employee. And not only that, as a leader writer.
BOIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii JANE, REALLY??? She left a baby in a car alone, also the car could get really hot on the inside... Kenny was passed at her and she led him on.. TO HIS FUCKING DEATH!!! I chose to let her die... I WATCHED HER DIE!!! I'm not really mad, it's your opinion...
PRAISE OUR HOLY LORD JESUS
That's the best explanation ever, I thought I had good explanations in the past... but they're nothing compared to yours... I STROKE YOUR MASSIVE BRAZZILIAN BEAR'S FUR!!!
This is my opinion...
Jane has faults, as do all, but in her I saw a companion, who is just as damaged as any character in the game.
She was smart, serious and considerate once you got to know her. To all haters of her, I say this..."I. Don't. Care."
I liked her, and no amount of reminiscence about her past actions that put her in fault with naysayers, will EVER make me change my mind.
I've seen many character die that I had much consideration and respect for, but her's was the one that shattered my heart and has caused me to question Telltale's method of thinking.
I defended her tooth and nail. NEVER letting the negative outweigh my grasp of whom I consider a survivor and good ally with Clementine. What happened, her poorly conceived fate...
I. Will. NEVER. Forget. EVER...
Who was Jane to me?
In some way if I were a character in the game. I will say this:
As much as we all might like, Jane and Kenny are unfortunately dead for good. Doesn't really matter if you ended up leaving them, because we're not likely to see them again either way.
It sucks how they went out, and I'm sure many of us have our own "canon" way for how Kenny and Jane truly would've bitten the bullet, but they're done for. If they were to suddenly show up at this McCarrol ranch place with open arms and have Clementine sprint towards them, I'd probably be both parts overjoyed, but also just like "are you fu$%ing kidding me?!"
Man Jane is a human she made mistakes. Kenny does too. I understand that she did a bunch of shit but seriously the hate toward her start getting ridiculously ridiculous.
I liked her as much as I liked kenny and kenny was my lee's bro and she's my Clem's big sister.
And if the hate toward her cost her a chance of the return that will really get me pissed.
She's my friend
Did you look at the last line? Also this isn't me being snotty I'm just asking if you did.
Did what?
What are you guys even talking about? Kenny isn't dead.
I'm not actually mad
