They were going to, but like a number of things in it, they backtracked fairly late in development.
They have to follow this line:
* The Walking Dead Same Old Frontier (S4)
* The Walking Dead A Newer Frontier (S5)
* The Walking Dead Yet Another Frontier (S6)
* The Walking Dead Another New Frontier (S7)

When you give things numbers it makes the people that haven't seen the previous seasons feel bad and don't give the series/ movie a chance.
I watched the new alien movie last night it really sums up alot of stuff in the alien franchise. Oh and plus it was extremely good you should go watch it.

I loved the plot line about those androids... But the crew of the ship was just soooo stupid I almost broke my face with a facepalm. They reminded of me a terrible teenage horror movie.

NO! A New Frontier is just a prologue to something bigger! Like movie Prometheus was prologue to a new Alien trilogy starting with Alien Covenant.
They have to follow this line:
