Shoot or Leave Jane

If you got the Jane ending/Flashbacks or if you were to play it. Would you/did you shoot Walker Jane or leave her hanging?

  • There was a choice? I don't remember there being a choice. She just did it automatically.

  • You aim the gun at her and if you don't shoot after a while she leaves her

  • I shot her. As someone who loved Jane as a character I couldn't just leave her hanging there like that.

I didn't even think Jane would commit suicide to be completely honest.

Her character didn't seem like someone who would just up and kill themself because of a pregnancy.

Sure I know Jane was always against pregnancy in a apocalypse but something had told me if she were to get pregnant she would at least try and cope with it due to all the hints she was giving about baby names and the other things like that.

Think of Christa, she was pregnant and she survived through it. The same could of happened to Jane. But no, Telltale decided to be lazy and just kill her off.

Gotta love determinant characters. (Yes I'm talking about you Conrad, no way you're surviving the finale and if you do, there's no way you'll last five minutes in Season 4 if there is one)

This probably didn't require a rant as this was meant to be answering a question but I felt like I needed to voice my opinion on the matter.

  • Wouldn't have known anyway seeing as I never got the Jane endings, but I did raise an eyebrow not at the fact that it's technically an option, but at how it's pretty much the most climactic and graceful ending to the Part 1 flashbacks.

  • I would have left her hanging because that was her choice, not mine. If she didn't want to turn, she could have easily shot herself in the head but if she wanted to be left to turn, then let her have it her way.

  • True. Selfishness, Pragmatism, and Death are all products of Black, after all.

"Keep your distance. The only thing left inside of her now is her urge to feed. Without her mind, there will be no more human attachments to distract her. Now, she is pure!"

  • Shot her of course thats the rule in the walking dead you shoot any one hang him self even if you don't know him.

  • I watched a let's play of the Jane plashbacks bc I'm playing with the "with Kenny" ending. I would have shot her though since there didn't appear to be an option. If there was I would still shoot her bc its the humane thing to do.

  • If you just stand there and don't shoot then after About 10 seconds or so, Clem walks out with AJ

  • Don't have a Jane save, but given the option I'd shoot her. One less walker in the world that might harm someone alive.

  • I don't mind them killing off established characters but I do agree that the way to handled both Jane and Kenny's death was a bit rushed. Especially Kenny. Even though I didn't end S2 with Kenny in my "canon" walk through I could understand why everyone was upset. He was just a major character in two seasons and they killed him off in a very lazy way.

I personally thought the way they killed Jenny was sorta unnecessary. Didn't really seem like her type of character to kill herself to just off herself. She seemed like a person who deep down will just role with the punches for the sake of those she holds dear. Like Clem since she see's her as a little sister and vice versa. Plus I found the whole her being pregnant a bit unnecessary - but that's my opinion.

It probably would've been better if the did the flashback scenes in a particular order - then again if the kept the original death scenes it would've garnered more hate for being anti-climatic. OR they somehow worked the NF in there somehow. Like Kenny and Jane grow suspicious and they killed as a result in the flashbacks by them in the flashback, or have Kenny or Jane opt to stay in the group to search for AJ while Clem is exiled and Clem is searching for them both. I don't know it seems like they could've had them involved in the story if not directly.

  • My Clem would take the shot. Just one more walker they don't have to kill off later.

  • I left her. If other survivors find Howes and her body they can kill her.

Everything about putting down Jane pisses me off extremely. In my first save file, I did not shoot her. I guess it was too much to expect for a [Stab Her] option and, you know, not be a braindead moron and waste a bullet when you can easily stab the walker. Plus, shooting a gun right near AJ! I'm sure that'll be very good for his sensitive baby ears, Clem. Gosh, I did not spend two seasons raising this braindead moron.

After my save files got corrupted. Twice. I did decide to shoot her in my very painful replaying, for the simple fact that not shooting Jane seems to imply Clem leaves the sustainable and somewhat safe Howe's, just because Jane killed herself, making Clem even further stupid and moronic. (I also like how Telltale didn't even feel the need to explain why Clem leaves the sustainable and safe Howe's, but I guess it's too much to ask them to put detail into these silly previous season things! Praised be the newcomers! All 3 of them).

  • It could be that all the people that she lost because of that place eventually starting getting to her and/or she decided that she preferred being on the road.
