'The Walking Dead: A New Frontier - Your Choices' analysis
In a trailer that was just released for A New Frontier (not necessarily for Episode 5)here:
In the start of the video, you can see the Javier flashback for this episode, which includes his whole family.
In 1:26 of the video, you can see 2 choices, make peace with David or fight David, which are choices which haven't occurred yet.
From 2:05 to the end of the video , you can see Javier and Clem on a motorbike (As seen in the key art for Episode 5) with Clem hitting a walker with Javi's bat. You can then quickly see Jesus on a horse with a sword. And then Clem swinging on a helicopter propeller and finally you see Gabe looking worried as David grabs a metal stick (a crowbar?) and walks towards Javier, who is on the ground. Is this where Gabe possibly redeems himself by saving Javier, depending on if you were nice to him or not? To be honest, I don't see Gabe dying at all, and I think Javier, Gabe, Clem and AJ make it out of this season alive.
Comments
Nope. David is using a Monkey Wrench which is one of the weapons of choice in Season 1 Episode 3 at the train.
Wtf is clem doing on that helicopter? And why is David attacking javi? Please don't tell me Gabe is going to tell him that I romanced Kate. Something tells me that David is becoming determinant this episode.
i have hope that the make peace with David or fight him will just be an option in the Talk to Kenny or Fight him style in which if you fight him you end up beating him up but he doesnt end up dead and not the Kenny vs Jane type fight.
Althought i would find it interesting if you pick fight and Gabe shooting the one he trusts the most between the 2 with a choice check like how good you were to him if it does end up being a battle to the death and you play as David for the rest of the episode.
Actually, it's Javier who swings his bat on the motorcycle not Clem.
That scene with Clem swinging off a propeller is most likely a flashback because Javi and the others aren't there.
David walking towards you with a monkey wrench is most likely the choice of accepting Kate's feelings. David is a hothead so it doesn't surprise me if he reacted that way he did if he found out his wife is cheating on him with his own brother.
As for Gabe, he'll probably step in between the two. If you were a dick to him he'd take his Dad's side but if you weren't he'll save you.
Could've sworn I saw Gabe for a split second there, but then again, that's the case in the other scenes.
EDIT: No, he is there. Gotta slow down the video though.
Your theory could have held up if there just weren't one problem with it...
Take a look at this screenshot taken directly from the trailer footage, you may notice something that contradicts this assertion.
As you can see, at the bottom right of this image Gabe is standing on the other roof! This means...
It couldn't possibly be a flashback!
My god...you're right...
WHY IS HE STILL HERE?!?!
Why do I have this feeling that this helicopter scene gonna be some cheesy Gabentine scene?
I'm afraid of that. Watch it be like Gabe drooling over her and fanboying on how badass she looked.
That or Gabe saving Clem from falling and they stare into each other's eyes while blushing.
Ew...
Here's the edit code if you want to change anything.
Oh my goodness, now that you've said that...!
I'm 95% sure they'll do something like that too
I'm surprised they didn't use "SAVED THE GIRL?" this time.
You mean SAVE THE
GIRL?
I can see them taking turns calling each other's names as Clementine boosts, drifts, swings, and backwards summersaults to Gabe's location and lands in a perfect embrace as the resulting turbulence blows their hats off, causing their floofy hair to flow/blow dramatically as they kiss.
The gif isn't animating.
"This Season is absolutely about family."
[84%] - Stayed with Clem (not family) ::: [16%] - Left with Family (help family)
EDIT: Yeah, they didn't exactly do much of a good job dividing the Clem supporters between valuing the new Garcia family vs. Clem, the most developed character whom we know already.
Honestly, part of why I havent been a fan of the Garcia family is all the predetermined relationships, in season 1 I could choose if I wanted to support Kenny or not, in this season its just varying degrees of, "oh boy, I sure love Kate"
I am biased since I want Clem as protagonist, but since we werent getting this this season, I honestly think the fact that half the cast is a relative of Javi is stupid and ruins the entire plot
Um....I think we might be playing as Clementine in the present.
I swear if Gabe doesn't become determinant (or preferably just die) and Gabentine becomes even more real, Kenny's wrath will be all upon this piece of shit.
Just a prediction, but I think the choice between Fight David and Make Peace with David will determine his fate.
If you fight David, he'll most likely die by either Javier or Gabe for the safety of their family.
If you made peace with him, you can see him walking away from Javi and Gabe in the teaser. So maybe he decides to leave them after realizing he'll only put them in more danger and that Javier is a better father figure than he is. This will give him the 'unknown' status.
Not a chance at all. We've been hoping for this the entire season and it has not happen yet. If the finale is 70-80 minutes its all but certain Clementine isn't playable in the present.
I doubt it either. I have a feeling we'll only play as Clem for like 10 minutes in the present just to deal with this whole 'Gabe has a crush on Clementine' thing.
Telltale DID say it's up to Clem...and that either goes as we play as her and reject/accept his feelings or she rejects him overall.
Yup, it gives a total Shane vs Rick feeling, I can totally see Gabe shoot
I think David attack Javi cuz :
1.If you kiss Kate
2.If you dicking with Gabe or David
3.If you kill Kate cuz she's survive the explosion and suffering/Kate turn to walker and you have to shoot her.David will mad because he didn't know any shit.
But maybe if Gabe didn't help Javi,Clem with come and save Javi. And if Gabe will said,"Get the fuck outta way Clem!Uncle Javi deserve it!",Clem will shoot David and Gabe. And(if) that time,I'll ---
Plus,I think they fighting after Richmond save or go to another place.Man...
Admittedly, it would be neat is David actually did his fatherly job instead of worrying about Javier eating his sloppy seconds.
We'll most likely get a 2 minute Clementine flashback.
