I never saw it coming.

In season one and the stranger ends up being the owner of the station wagon. I didn't play the game episodically I played it all on the game of the year disc. I completely forgot about the car. While the choice didn't matter the incident seemed minor at the time and to have it come back and bite me in the ass later was awesome! Do you think we could see something like that in ep five? Or maybe in a future iteration?

  • Not at all since they rewrote this season countless times not to mention they went through several rewrites in the middle of the season which they ended up with no clear direction for the series. It would take planning, dedicated writers, consistent story progression and legitimate work and effort poured into ANF for that to happen which has not.

  • Wrong thread?

This choice was a tough one. I knew something was about to happen if we stealed it but in a realistic view, you needed it to survive. So I took them and it bite me in the ass and maybe indirectly caused Lee's death. But I didnt regret at all. You are starving, its cold out there and you see a station vagon full of supplies. It was senseful thing to do.

In the season 2, if you steal supplies, Arvo's gang will ambush you and there will be a shooting. It will bite you in the ass as well. But again in a realistic view; Luke was injured, Kenny lost his eye, Rebecca had a baby incoming so stealing was 'senseful' thing to do. Of course it will bite you in the ass as well. But I like how the consequences has been processed in both seasons. Because it makes the game more realistic.

I guess it already happened in season 3. You stealed supplies from the NF in the junkyard. It bited you in the ass again when NF attacked Prescott because they were chasing you. Also, it bited you in the ass again in episode 3. Joan and Clint kicked you out because of that. And also it caused whole season in an other perspective. Whole thing started in junkyard and then it turned out to a mess. In episode 5, Richmond screwed up by zombies so I dont think it will bite you in the ass again.

I'm sorry but in my playthrough of Ep5 I told The Stranger 'he fucked up' and didn't take the sympathetic route. The fact that they're in the zombie apocalypse and he suggests to Lee that Clem 'won't be exposed' to the harsh realities of what Lee's group had went through. The whole 'I know how to be a dad' line really cracked me up. yeah coming from the guy who lost his own son like that. The guys far too unhinged to look after Clementine if he can't look after his own family. The whole thing is justifiable to steal to me. Everyone would've starved to death back on the motel if they hadn't tried to go to the dairy, its crazy not to take that risk in a big group with children in it.

  • Lol of course not! Like someone else said, so many rewrites and shit writing this season. Sean Vanaman and his team had a plan from start to finish. Sure there were a few rewrites here and there but they knew that they wanted the Stranger to be a main thing by the final episode

  • That situation in Season One was great. Didn't see it coming either, since I completed the game within two days. So no time to really speculate about what's going to happen.

And no, we won't see something like this in ANF. Like others already said, this "3rd" season has had sooo many re-writes and scrapping of tons of content.. the ppl in charge have no idea what they are doing. Therefore it's impossible to put together a good game. You >need< a clear route for the story, otherwise it will be a mess like this.
