  • Unfortunately I don't think a mac version is coming anytime soon. Batman is still waiting for a mac version that has yet to come after the season has been out for 4+ months.

  • Don't play games on Mac. Simple.

  • I am on a Mac too. I have asked Telltale on Twitter, by Email and here in the forum before. No response or a plain "don't know if it will come or when".

My assumption they will not do it. They also promised a Mac version for Batman. Not done. Maybe it's related to their engine, but I don't know.

Given they have supported Mac in the past, I wonder what changed in such a horrible way we Mac users were dropped. I paid for all the games in full. Not only TWD, but also others. Now "I" am not longer supported. Thanks for nothing, it's disappointing.

In response to Domi_nique, your comment is absolutely not helpful. There are people who use Mac for several reasons. I use it mainly for working. It's a better working machine. I can't effort to buy a Windows machine just to play a few stupid games. I am used I cannot play all the games I'd like too, but in this case Mac support was dropped without pre-warning, any comment from publisher side or any outlook. Which means, I paid for the presequels and the DLC, but will not be able to look at the next episode. And seriously, I won't buy a Windows machine just because of Telltale. It would have been nice to have at least a comment why my system is not longer supported.

  • Well thats a stupid comment. Who asked you?

  • Ever since Telltale upgraded their engine for newer series starting with Batman last year, their newer titles don't support Mac.

Keeping in mind that I'm only a volunteer community moderator and not a Telltale staff member, I'm gonna wager a guess that they are trying to get the new engine update working on Mac, but just have not been able to yet. Telltale's pretty interested in getting their titles to run on as many platforms as possible, so if I had to guess, I could hopefully see them eventually getting their engine update working on Mac at some point.

  • You did, by asking a public question.

  • Actually I asked Telltale.

  • Actually I asked Telltale about a mac version I didn't ask for advice about what computer I should use.

  • Then you should've contacted the official Telltale-support and not asked in a public discussion forum.

  • Blind Sniper, I would be certainly interested in details actually. Because why does it work on iOS, but not on a Mac? I know it's different systems, but it's at least in the same universe.

I would have hoped Telltale would have made some kind of statement to tell Mac users what's going on. As it is now, it's very frustrating. A little more transparency would help a lot.

  • As I said - I am only a volunteer moderator with no insight into this because I am not a staff member. I would like to help, but my guess would be good as yours.

I would wager their engine upgrade was, in its earlier/current state, perhaps a bit too intensive for Macs, but as I said - this is just personal arm chair speculation from one Telltale fan to another.

If you would like updates, perhaps you could contact Telltale's support team to ask for any updates.

  • Mate. There is no reason to justify your Mac to anyone. You know why you use it and its nobody's business.
