I've watched the finale episode on Youtube and Gabe died. I don't know what to feel.. He gave his cards to Clem and they hugged

I think he's Determinant. I saw two different playthroughs and one of them had Clem saving Gabe before he got bit.

I saw MKFireandIce's walkthrough and he chose to save Richmond but Clem went to save David & Gabe. Am I missing something here? Does it depend on your relationship with Clem or Gabe?

You find KAte already turned if you go after David then try to save richmond.
Basically Javier is the only one in the family who doesn't die. Gabe & Kate are determinant and David dies no matter what.
If you choose to go after David and Gabe, Kate will be the one to die. David's status will be unknown and Gabe will be alive.
I called it before that Kate, Gabe and David will all be determinant characters.
No, the ending were Kate dies, David and gabe will live but David leaves Richmond instead of dying.

If I have to choose whose death is the most impactful, it is Gabe's.

He can live. If you choose to save Richmond he and David will die but if you choose to save them Kate will die.
It's basically if you like Kate but hate Gabe, save Richmond. If you dislike Kate but like Gabe, so save him. If you like them both, well good luck.

IMO, him dying was probably the best ending. It's very emotional and how a typical Walking Dead game/story should end.
David is alive and well in Richmond with Gabe and Javier in my playthrough, not talking to them but he's alive and stayed.
Somewhat unrelated but can anyone tell me if Conrad survived this episode? Or did he bite the dust (once again)?

I shot Conrad in Episode 2 but congratulations to TTG for actually have a determinant character survive the whole season, goddamn.

Why we can't save David and let Gabe die? ;(
1- If you killed Conrad, she will not left you alone. So if you pick Richmond, Gabe and David will die. If you pick Gabe, Kate will die and will end up as a zombie.
2-If you didnt kill Conrad, she will go after Gabe no matter what. If you pick Richmond, Clem will save Gabe. If you pick Gabe, Kate will end up as a zombie again no matter what.
Thats all the possible outcomes I saw.
So it's going to be crazy difficult if the people who are team David don't like Kate but might hate Gabe more. Being able to let gabe get killed or let him survive was a good idea but it would've been an even better idea to have to choose between David or Kate or gabe to cater to everyone. Though I'm glad that gabe can be killed or not killed based on your decision and I'm happy Kate can live. Also being able to play as Clem again is a cash grab but it will be a successful cash grab more than likely because it's Clem and you get to play as her again even if it may or may not be in the form of dlc.

Personally, I thought the ending with Gabe dying and Kate living was the perfect ending. It was bittersweet and it's open to many more doors down the road (I.e. Kate wanting to start a family with Javier).
It's also poetic in a sort of twisted way. David and his children die, leaving their stepmother to be with their uncle who can restart their family.

She will come Richmond with him, she will hold him because David will have a car crash and Gabe will be injured. She will say that she barely saved him.
I agree. that does sound like the more impactful and meaningful ending. Episode 5 sounds short and isn't perfect but you're able to get rid of gabe or keep him alive or kate alive instead. That makes the episode pretty solid at least with the important decision making and your choices mattering. I can't wait to see the decisions people made and chose.
How did you get him to stay? I'm assuming it's based on how you acted towards him throughout the game.
yep and I'm happy they did that. I really disliked Gabe as a character. Them trying to make him likable in the last episode was just a little too late for me. I would have really hated it if he just lived without a possible death. Now at least I know he wont be in the next season.
