(Spoilers) All Endings Season 3
In total, there are four endings. They depend on your relationship with Clementine and who you decided to assist in the finale.
Helping Kate
1.-Kate lives, both Gabe and David die. You must have a good relationship with Clementine, supporting her in most decisions (covering for her in Prescott, kill Conrad, not letting David in, killing Lingard).
2.-Kate and Gabe live, David dies. You must have a strained relationship with Clementine, disagreeing with her at almost every turn (letting her take the blame in Prescott, siding with Conrad, letting David in, sparing Lingard).
Helping Gabe and David
3.-Gabe lives, Kate and David die. You must have a strained relationship, disagreeing with her at almost every turn. (Technically, Kate doesn't die, she just disappears)
4.-Gabe and David live, Kate dies. You must have a good relationship with Clementine, supporting her in most decisions. (You can convince David to stay in Richmond, or let him go)
I believe Clementine decides in relation to how many times you have sided with her. So, say, if you disagreed with her 3 times out of 4, she will go to save Gabe. While if you agreed with her for the most part, she will assist Kate. If you did a mix of both, Clementine will decide to stick with Javi, going with him no matter what.

Interesting how many endings we have again...
I wonder how telltale wants to continue another season (if there will be any) with so many endings. Lets hope it focuses on Clem and we never have to go back to Javiers story, even though i like him.
it will not go back to javier's story, i doubt that we will ever see him again. i just think that because telltale already learned how hard it was to incorporate different endings into upcoming installments, yet we have even more outcomes.
u forgot other ending, Javi dies for Gabe and David, not official ending but was adding in dialogue and all tho.
I swear to God.
If Telltale does the same shit that they pulled off in Episode 1, where they killed Kenny and Jane in a cheap 5 minute flashback depending on your Season 2 ending...
If they kill the people/person you end up with in ANF's finale the similar way...
I will PUNCH Telltale's eyes.
I hated it. Now I'm gonna have to play the entire season all over again, because I want Kate and Gabe alive.
I suspect Javier's story is done. There's no need to repeat the same mistake on Telltale's part, unless they want to fuck it up again. The most sensible thing is to continue Clementine's story, without Javier or his family.
Javier's story might be done, true, but I'd still like to see him in future installments.
But make no mistake, the next season has to be about Clementine's story. Or Telltale have nailed the final nail in their coffin.
ANF was all about Javier and the rest of the Garcias, no doubt about that. And it pissed off a lot of people. But if Telltale includes Javier in the next season with a good role and truly continue Clementine's story alongside, then I think it's the golden formula.
Clem back as the protagonist, Javier and the remaining members of his family with supporting roles that actually fit them and Clem's story.
I really hope Telltale manages to get some writers who have the ability to make this all work. It would be damn shame to see Javier and his family go, especially when they even bothered to make ANF all about Javier and his family.
It isn't hard to incorporate alternate endings, Telltale just decided not to try at all.
It's not a ending if it results in a game over screen. Game over means you faield to reach the right conclusion.
Javier could reappear, yes, but I'm not confident on the rest of the family. Telltale doesn't have the best track record keeping determinant characters alive (Kenny and Jane, being egregious examples). Except Conrad, longest living determinant character in Telltale history, able to survive the entire season, although for the most part, he does next to nothing and has few lines, so his appearances are superfluous.
But this is Telltale we are talking about. They will probably take the easiest path, which is either setting aside Javier's family, or killing the survivors in the next season's first episode. Given to choose, I would pick the first, and fantasize in my mind whatever comes next for the Garcia family. It's not ideal, but the alternative is worse.
I had Kate and Gabe survive yet I did not have a strained relationship with clem? I always sided with her for everything?
Which is why I think her "personality" might impact it too. What was your season 2 ending?
I went with Jane and let the family in, Yes I can definatley see how this would impact it
What happens when you tell Clem to not go after AJ
Mine was number 4.
It's still technically an ending, it rick rolled me so hard though, I actually thought Javier died.
This is very helpful so thank you :•)
No its not. Game over means you have to replay and get a correct outcome.
I don't see Telltale continuing Javier's story after this disappointment of a season. Maybe they'll have him back next season and him alone, no Kate or Gabe or anyone you let live in the finale.
LOL a TTG Troll, was nice they added a Javi Death scene for a gameover
So, in my (first) play through, Clem chose to go after Gabe, whereas Kate chose to make things right with Richmond. Javi was then left to choose between saving his family or saving the town. Did this happen to everyone (Clem automatically deciding to follow Gabe) or was this somehow determinant based on how Javi treated her?
The thing is, I got the 4th ending, which according to the OP, it's because I had a good relationship with Clem, but it seems for the most part, I decided against her on decisions that I thought would have made her react more distrustful towards Javi, such as not lying for her at Prescott, accepting Conrad's deal, and opening the door for David. On things that I sided with her on: Covering her at the junkyard and killing Lingard. Would Clem have decided to go to Richmond had I decided to help Kate by saving the town? Or would she still have stuck with her decision to go after Gabe?
If what the OP is saying is correct, the ending that I received doesn't really make a lot of sense to me ... ? Not complaining, of course, I actually prefer this ending. Moreover, the decision to go after Gabe made the most sense to me, since it was more important to protect family over a town of strangers, although technically, Javi owes them this. Anyone have ideas as to what I may have done to still get this ending?
I guess I will also find out what changes with my second play through since I have a second save file where I mostly sided with Clem. Still would like your input though! Greatly appreciated. :-)
That's interesting I got ending 2 but I always sided with clementine she even thanked me when we where on the water tower I thought that choice was based on not fighting David. As I didn't and I think clem thought I wouldn't have it in me to kill David if it came down to that
My bad, I got the last two endings mixed up.
Simply put, if you agreed with Clementine, she will go with Kate. If you disagreed with her, she will go after Gabe. And if you did a bit of both, she will stick with Javi.
First time poster. Any way to edit the OP post?
The information in the last two endings is wrong. It's the reverse. Clem will follow Kate if she's friends with Javi; Gabe, if she is at odds with Javi; and if you both agreed and disagreed with her, she will stick with Javi.
Interesting. Did you kill or spare Conrad? I feel that's one deciding factor.
All Javi death scenes result in a game over.
What was your season 2 ending?
So what choices actually matter towards the relationship?
Are those it? My assumption was that the events of the previous seasons impacted it too, has that been ruled out?
I did a bit of both and she still went after Gabe.
I killed him. clem thanked for for it and said that I always had her back.
Jane letting in the family
That's not how game development works. Devs don't not decide to something because it's "hard."
Everyone asked the same thing when season 3 was announced. And we know what happend, Kenny and Jane got fucked.
Kate and Gabe survived in mine as well but I did not have a strained relationship with clem either. I sided with clem on every single thing I think...maybe that's how you get them to live as well. I basically got the happiest ending possible lol
My season two ending was leave wellington with Kenny..so the mystery continues
She went after Gabe in my play through as well and I sided with her constantly
yeah it was really cringey how "perfect" it was
Confusing, I guess there are several more factors aside from her relationship with Javi. It may be influenced by past choices in Season 1 and Season 2.
My guess is that, yes, choices of previous seasons might influence Clem's decision. We will definitely have to study more closely the factors.
