No idea. She said she would go after Gabe, rather than stick with Javi. These are the choices I made throughout the game in relation to clem (it hasn't shown me ep 5 choices so unsure if anything there was vital in what she chooses):
Got locked up with her in Richmond (ep 1)
Stayed with her at the junk yard (ep 1)
Killed conrad (ep 2)
Didn't kill Lingard (ep 4)
Basically in the garage she said she would go after Gabe and that Javi should choose who to go with; her or Kate. In case previous playthroughs and Clem's status at the beginning of season 3 matters, my clem was with Kenny and AJ.

I got David to come back to Richmond - I'm unsure exactly which choices matter, but here's some things I did, so this may help.
Then he just appeared later on in Richmond. Hopefully this helps a bit, and someone can add to it if necessary.
