Really fucking tired of people flipping out over this, chill.
I'm sorry if you don't like Gabe, or Gabentine, but stop being assholes about it. I've literally seen people flipping on the Mods who made this happen. If you don't like Gabe/Clem, cool. But when you flip about it, you're saying "OH CLEM CAN ONLY BE HAPPY ON MY TERMS Ò-Ó". Like, let people like the ship if they want, and don't fucking flip at the mods for something that gets confirmed no matter what.

The reality is you are wasting time and effort with the potential with an increase in blood pressure for a message that will imminently fall on deaf ears. A good amount of people will rightfully and wrongfully voice opinion and emotion on topics and subjects regardless if it's right or wrong and regardless of beratement of others.
I get that, but being outright disrespectful to the moderators is something that gets me so mad, lol. at the end of the day, it's canon and telling a mod to fuck off just gets me so heated. Like, it's a game, but I see what you mean haha.
Has it really been confirmed that mods were responsible for Gabentine? I would like to see proof of this haha
A mod said that she was responsible for influencing the decision.
...she?!?
OMG, I'm sorry, I didn't know.
Don't let it happen again
jk we're cool
I was under the impression that he was joking/trolling?
But yeah I agree. Even if you don't like the pairing, it really isn't that big of a deal.
Even if he was joking, I was still seeing people be really fucking rude about it. Also, thank you, someone who agrees.
Groups of people will always find something to complain about, and then smaller sub-groups will go on witch hunts against those they think responsible.
MODS KNEW
Of course, I'm more curious as to which mod suggested removing the rewind function and having "Tell him off" result in...well, what it did. That person is a sadistic genius.
haha the she?! comment was awesome!
Yeah, people should just share their opinion and dislike, but they shouldn't try to impose it on others. I am sure the dev team in charge of the game, will find a suitable way to find a middle ground. All we know, Clem could have a crush and just react in the heat of the moment. Just because she has a crush, it doesn't mean, it will become a reality.
In the present, I don't like Gabe's attitude, but I know he is still growing up. I won't know yet whether or not he should be with Clem. Gabe has a "disadvantage" compared to Clem. He got a family who took care of him. He didn't have the chance to skip adolescence to adulthood as Clem did. If Lee would have survived, Clem would have turned a bit different. She would probably be like Mariana (Gabe's sister). A sweet and naïve girl, yet smart according to her environment.
.....I would much prefer to have Mariana alive instead of Gabe, and let Javi give them his blessing xD
Our powers only go so far.
I haven't sacrificed enough kittens and orphans in my rituals to reach that level of power yet
Well people shouldn't "flip out", but they do have the right to point out poor writing and out of character interactions in a civil manner. And having said that, Clem confessing her love by finding "the one" after thinking she was all alone, over a boy whom she just met 3 days ago is extremely poor writing and out of character. Not to mention that one episode before, which took place in the SAME DAY, she showed no affection towards Gabe and she was only trying to keep him calm and to cooperate with the group. And now, a few minutes later in episode 5, she falls head over heels for him. People have every right to point such poor writing out. No matter how you look at it, Gabentine is forced.
I think they were joking with the mods.
I agree. I think telltale was forcing two romance. The first romance is the platonic love between Gabe and Clem ( although it could be plausible because they are teenagers and no matter how mature one of them can be, hormones can get the best of them. Damn the human biology).
The second romance is Kate trying to force herself on Javi. I spelled out to her face. I didn't want to be with her, and she still confessed her affection in front of Javi's brother as if Javi ever accepted as his woman
Qaswara is absolutely right, I couldn't have said that any better.
And you can discuss everything as long as you're respectful anyway. Otherwise, what's the point of having a place for discussion around the game ? Plus, the game is a matter of choices andm more importantly, perspective. It's interesting to see people think that Clementine really has something for Gabe, while I just saw a girl who's trying to guide him and using the crush Gabe has in order to help both him and the group. Talking about it is a good thing, I think.
I'm telling you, there are so many Annie Wilkes in this fandom. Online fandom in general is pretty bad these days, but I don't know if it's their skewing towards younger ages (and emotional immaturity)--some in the TWD games fandom are especially egregious.
You've given me a great idea by mentioning Annie Wilkes. Take the final scene from Misery, where he lights the paper on fire, only change things around.
"Will Gabentine be the canon ending?"
"Will Javi ship Kate, or Jesus?"
"It's all right here"
Lights the match
We're not playing as Clementine, neither Gabe, so how exactly is it forced? It's like saying that Sarita and Kenny are in an forced love-relationship. Also, despite the poor writing.. If Clementine and Gabe love each other and are happy, why do you want to ruin it? Just because you don't like it it doesn't mean that you should try to ruin it except if you are the playable character and say as Clementine that you don't like Gabe. There's a difference.
From a writing standpoint yeah it's bad but to flip out like many are doing right now it's exaggerated, plus only a few people got that anyway so it's not canon for them...
I agree people shouldn't be dicks to other people, but if they reaaally don't like it then that's them. Some of us really only bought this season to see Clem, so I imagine it would seriously irk some people if they didn't want it to happen.
