Wow. Didn't realize so many of the ending characters were Determinant
Didn't realize so many of the main characters by the end of the game in ANF were Determinant.
In my playthrough both Kate and Gabe were still living at the end of the game and I figured that was how it was intended to always be as it gave the group a nice happy (and potential ride off into the sunset) ending.
But now I find out that both Kate and Gabe are Determinant characters and even David has the potential of living. It's good in the fact that it gives the people playing the game a lot more variety with their endings. However at the same time it makes it a lot tougher to include the Richmond community in any future games and if they did decide to put Richmond in the next game in any shape or form it would almost have to be given the Wellington treatment.
If they don't want to write three or four different Richmond stories in a potential fourth game really the only character that could now appear would be Javier.

Telltale needs to find ambition over excuses. Just as Kenny and Jane could have easily been included in the story, so can Kate, Gabe and David in the future.
I don't think they have to though. The ending was designed in a way that I assume we're going to stick with Clementine and not hear of Richmond for a while.
The entire ANF cast excluding Javier is determinant/dead which means I doubt we'll be seeing the cast from ANF or Richmond in general in Clementines story.
Apparently some of you have never heard of finite things like budget, time, and resources/manpower. Maybe once you get out in the real world...
I work with 3D modeling buddy, I'm perfectly familiar with the contraints of a creative media.
Wait how does David survive?
Clem and Javi both go after him and Gabe, Kate goes to Richmond alone.
When I saw playthroughs I thought David was bitten and dies, do you have a choice to help gabe or David? And the one you help survives
Pretty sure that after the growth of their company with the success of some of their earlier titles that budget and resources/manpower shouldn't have been a problem to begin with. Telltale had way fewer people on board for season one and they managed to craft a story that was practically twice as long with plenty of different sections for exploration, character interaction and branching dialogue options.
Maybe the time thing was an issue, and I can see how that would hamper the season, but season two also ended three years ago. Plenty of time to craft something together.
Ok. Sure.
remember when this was all talked about at the end of season 2? i vividly recall talking to friends, wondering how they would handle so many different endings in a new season..
then. you know. they just killed off and rendered all the different season 2 endings pointless apart from the one they wanted to push.
so don't get your hopes up. no doubt at the start of season 4 everyone will just die and nothing we did will matter. true telltale fashion.
if both Clem and Javi goes then Clem helps David and Javier helps Gabe.
Most likely this. As I've said before, I'll be surprised if Telltale even tries.
But I think they already set up the narrative away from Javi and his determinant gang.
Didn't realize that even Tripp is Determinant. I realize its fun for gamers to have all kinds of different possible outcomes. However it is growing tiresome of having Clementine being the only one that 100% makes it out each and every game. I think if they had chosen to build a group just like the comics built there group (with many longstanding characters) it would have greatly helped the flow of the series.
I think I read where Eleanor lives no matter what. However she is a complete background character for the most part so it doesn't really matter.
is there still no answer on how to get clem to go with you after David
