Does Clementine Not Like Me?

I love clementine with all my heart. All my choices were based on her and she said she'd go wherever I didn't. Does that mean she doesn't like me cause all I did was for her. Can anyone explain and yes I've heard about injecting AJ, accepting Ava's offer, and what not but isn't like some elaboration because if Clementine did not end up liking me I will be very sad. Also my Clem was Free Spirit.

    I killed Lingard.
    I killed Conrad.
I lied for her to Tripp.
    I injected AJ.
    I rejected Ava's offer.

She ended up going with me no matter what I pick.

It doesnt entirely mean that she doesnt like you. I dont know what options are leading this one but the way I see it, you did most of my choices. Probably you didnt do one of my decisions(Maybe didnt inject AJ or accept Ava or both.)

Where did you get the conclusion that her not going with Javi means she didnt like you. Obviously since the way to get her to go opposite way of you is to be nice to her in your gameplay, it means she did that because she trusted you. In my What did Clem become, it said Clem chose to go after Kate while I chose Gabe because Clem trusted Javier enough that he could handle this on his own. It said she was confident enough in her own abilities and in Javiers to seperate.

This is weird. We should had the same outcomes. She said that she wont left me alone whatever I do. I let David in too in Ep3 but this is a little one I dont think it will affect.

What I've been reading from others it's either trust or she doesn't want to be with you because she doesn't trust you and also for mine it said she chose the best course of action so by saying that I was thinking it meant not being with Javi was the best.

Since the In-game cards prove that her splitting up with Javier means she trusted him, (that is if you get those cards) Id say otherwise. Its apparently canon that Clem can trust you either way that she chooses to go, if you really where nice to her through out the game than she trusts Javi because theres no reason she wouldn't be.

  • Well my in game card just said the best course of action so im not sure how to take that

  • It has nothing to do with that it is based on your actions as Clementine during the flashbacks

  • So Clem still likes Javi even if she didn't choose to go with him

  • Aslong as you where nice to Clem theres no reason she wouldn't trust Javi. The cards probably dont matter since just one of them says that she trusted Javi enough to go alone, proves that the fact she told Javi to go opposite of her means she had confidence in both of them. Looking at that in reality someone who trusts another wouldnt worry about having to help their friend, they would just trust them to handle it alone.

I didn't vouch for her 2nd degree murder in the first episode
    I gave her to Conrad
    I let Lingard live
    I injected AJ
    I accepted Ava's offer
I hesitated for letting David in

Yet she still came with me no matter what.
Maybe it was the fight scene, where I didn't fight against David?

  • I've heard its based on decisions during your flashbacks. You should be grateful, I replayed episode 5 three times to try and get her to not come with me. I ended up with Kate dying :'(

  • True I did get lucky sorry about your Kate :/ . I just want to clarify that it's cause clementine trusts me and not because she doesn't.

  • I don't think it has to do with how you treated her as Javi (though it definitely factors into her choice). I think it has to do with how you played as her in Season 2 and the flashbacks.

For instance, in my play through, she saved Richmond (not for the people) but because the supplies might benefit her and AJ in the future -- the reason for this is because when I played as her I put her and AJ's survival over helping/saving other people no matter who they were.

In the past, I'm assuming if she listened to her group, and cared about the greater good more so than herself, she will save Richmond in order to save the lives of the people there -- specifically because she thinks it's a good thing to do -- and not because she's simply looking out for herself and AJ (the supplies and shelter of Richmond).

Not sure how you can get her to follow Javi no matter what you choose, but it might be how you treated specific people compared to others whilst playing as Clem -- maybe if you had Clem treat and trust those closest to her really well (and no one else), such as Luke or Kenny, then maybe she will decide it's a good idea to go wherever Javi goes. I was thinking (this is just a theory) but maybe she split up with you because you decided to leave Jane or Kenny behind at the very end of Season 2. If that's not the case, then I have no clue what makes her split up.

With my ending she didn't choose to go wherever I went, she decided what she thought was best for her and AJ's survival; with me being a huge Clementine fan, I chose to go wherever she went (which was with Kate).

This is how my Clem turned out:
    enter image description here
I think the bullets explain her actions this episode pretty well; as you can see it says that Clem strategized that she or AJ might need shelter or resources from Richmond in the future, and she learned what it's like to travel with a baby alone in this world: dangerous. My Clem joined the New Frontier in order to use their resources to help keep the person closest to her survive. My Clem shot Kenny in the face (hence why she's traveling alone with AJ), and I believe the choice you made at the end of Season 2 is what leads her to either shoot David or just point a gun at his head.

If I'm right we have to give Telltale major props for factoring our Season 2 choices into the major deaths for this season (whatever choice Clem makes/you make leads to character deaths). These are all just theories that don't really have any proof.

    Could be.

I didn't vouch for her 2nd degree murder in the first episode I gave her to Conrad I let Lingard live I injected AJ I accepted Ava's off

  • I did all of those, yet she still won't come with me

  • You want to know if she likes you?

    Try not dodging the truck.

  • It doesn't matter if she likes Javi

So Clem still likes Javi even if she didn't choose to go with him

  • Really nice idea very well written and thanks I would just be very concerned if she didn't like me cause then I feel she doesn't like me and my heart for that little girl would be crushed

What difference does it make? She's helping you by going after the other person so that you don't have to. That's probably the only way you have a chance of getting both Gabe and Kate alive to get the happiest ending. Come on bruh.
