I said I will never trust her again, I never liked/ trusted her after Clem said she didn't in episode 1.

If you are having bugs like that i would recommend contacting support for help.

  • I did, but kind of only because I was trying to save Richmond and she's a doctor.
No real use in antagonizing her, Joan was already dead.

  • I didn't. She blames me for her actions which isn't 100% true.

  • I told her she had to earn forgiveness. But only because of her fixing people and Kate's influence. Otherwise she can go to hell. Backstabbing like that is one of the worst things in my book.

  • Truth to be told, I don't really care anymore.

Eleanor's role in the story was so minimal she purely existed to betray the heroes and then vanish from the story altogether. I just don't see any point to detest a character when they're barely a character to begin with.

  • I did, since my observations of her likely motivations was ultimately proven/true. Besides, she had her own messes to clean up and better that being mad at each other for the honestly kinda shit plan going sideways doesn't get in the way of the rest of the group doing the same.

  • More like that "betrayal" existed purely to give her a another "notable" effect in the story and to make Clementine throwaway disliking of her justified in a roundabout way. You know, because we didn't have enough of that in Season 2.

Player: Well, that's good enough reason for me to not like him/her anymore!

  • Yeah, seriously. I mean it wouldn't have been that big a deal before and debatably isn't compared to Kenny or Jane, but sheesh!

What bamuses me about it, though, is that if it wasn't for how it was timed and executed, it would've been more on par with Kenny is Season 1: she just didn't particularly care for Eleanor at the time and was technically never explicitly against her. If it wasn't for the timing and execution, along with the fact that she had just killed a guy before Eleanor was introduced and more or less had an effective "I knew it" moment, I wouldn't be as bothered about it from her point of view.

  • I had to forgive her.

I didn't feel right for me to NOT forgive her, since in Episode 3, I picked the "Everybody fucks up man, what about forgiveness?" option to David.

  • I told her , she needs to earn my trust back. I wasn't mad on her anymore, but I didn't really trust her having her around for any plans. If I forgive her right away, I am going to have the damn Kate trying to bring her to meetings because she too made a HORRIBLE mistake. She wants you to forgive Eleanor so you can forgive her.

  • NO fuck that bitch and fuck Telltale for not giving me the option to shoot that bitch and take her out.

  • I chose the option that Eleanor would have to earn her trust back.. That was because the 'Put a gun up to her temple and pull the trigger' - wasn't an option. I have played the series with a specific mantra: The Group is everything. You are loyal to the group, you sacrifice for the group, you don't go out of your way to screw others - but your group is paramount, you don't betray the group. You betray the group - the best you get is going it alone..the worst is death. (I loved that Clementine reflected this at the end btw, made me love this season)

So yea.. I'm sad that Eleanor was able to live after that.. She got people in the group killed.

  • I forgave, because I knew she was irrelevant to the story and why have one idiot mad at me. It was a very odd conversation. Eleanor kept going back and forth to being pissed off to happy while Javi remained cool and calm. From about to bite my head off to thanking me in a matter of 20 seconds.

  • I didn't forgive Eleanor. I picked the "How dare you" option as well, which resulted in Javier shouting at Eleanor, which I liked.

  • Lol, nah. She had the nerve to blame me for Tripp's death. Like, bitch, he's dead because of you.

Yeah, I noticed that too. This finale in general was rushed.

In my first play-through, where I played more of a "pacifist", that is, I didn't kill Conrad, accepted the deal, and chose to save Tripp. I felt that I played everything by the book. I made sure that all of my decisions would lead to the group's survival, so with Eleanor talking to Joan, it really felt like she had betrayed Javi, so I said that she would have to earn back my trust.

In my second play-though, where I was a bit more "brutal" ... I killed Conrad, shot Joan, chose Ava ... I said that I would forgive her. My willingness to forgive Eleanor in my second play-through is somewhat reflective of the decisions I made in previous episodes this season. Playing a more unforgiving Javi, and I'm not saying that this is the case for everyone, but personally, I couldn't blame Eleanor for betraying Javi, and in some ways, it even made sense. Yes, the betrayal still hurt regardless of how I decided to play Javi and it makes you feel angry and disappointed, but I had to consider the things that Javi did up to that point, and believed that Eleanor didn't owe Javi anything, especially her loyalty. To put it plainly, and again, this is just my own personal opinion, but I believed that my Javi wasn't exactly a saint in all of this ... so I decided to forgive, only because I didn't think the other options fit very well with everything that had played out.

  • No. I was rude that her.

  • I honestly think Telltale should have made Eleanor more sorry if you spared Conrad and saved Tripp and she appears to be in episode 4 but then changes her mind in episode 5

Yes, definitely agree with you on that. The dialogue should have been a bit different. (I can confirm that in both instances, she basically says the same thing, her tone is the same ... She's even angry with you even if you played the pacifist through out the entire season. Generally speaking though, the whole exchange was kind of weird to me.)

I honestly think Telltale should have made Eleanor more sorry if you spared Conrad and saved Tripp and she appears to be in episode 4 but then changes her mind in episode 5

  • I didn't. If Tripp, the guy with the gun to his head can get over it without being hostile, so should she. She was unrepentant, so she got no forgiveness from me.

  • Nah fuck her, my man Tripp is dead because of her and she had the nerve to blame me for that. She doesn't even regret what she did.

  • I did forgive her. Honestly, the whole betrayal thing wasn't executed well in the game. It felt like just really messy writing.

  • It was really tacked on at the last minute when you get down to it.

  • Every time I replay episode 5, I tell myself I'm gonna forgive her. Then she comes up and talks smack.

I can't help but spam the "HOW DARE YOU!" button

  • I didn't forgive her in my original (play through).

  • Yes, I forgave Eleanor and she thanked me.
