The fights in this game are pretty stupid.. (Every season spoiler)
Season 1: How the hell is some thin guy like the stranger almost able to overpower lee? Lee was twice as big
Season 2: I love Kenny, but him overpowering Mike? Doesn't add up with the sizes.
Season 3: Javi versus david. This scene was pretty intensive. But seriously, David been in the army like forever, and Javi almost hits him down. Like HOW?
Also when Clem took David down.. Like if a girl like that jumped on some army dude, she would bounce back, instead of him going down lol.
I love the game, but this is something i noticed :P Dont get me wrong lol

What? You're saying it's impossible to win over someone who's brawnier than you?
Do you see a 11? Unsure. Year old girl take down a adult army man?
To be honest the reasons for the fighting is far more ridiculous than the actually somewhat fights themself. Kenny&Jane and Javier&David are two of the most blatantly plot forced conflicts of the series overall.
Being an army person doesn't make a difference. Sure, it would make you slightly tougher but she spear tackled him at full speed and c'mon, that would've at least nudged you over. And FYI, she's 13 this season, not 11.
Still, he is just a little too big for it to happen. I dont know in what force david was, but since he had dog tags, means he was a fighter. And they train everyday. I'm in the first stage of joining, and no, a 13 year old girl wouldn't take me down like that. It just seems... weird.
This is why it's called a video game. You want realistic fights? Go watch some boxing on the TV or something.
Fair enough, I suppose
Since it's an fairly realistic game, aside from the apocalypse, i just thought i point it out.
The stranger only overpowers Lee if you stop pressing the button prompt. And come on, Kenny's a pretty big dude and if not completely overpower Mike, he can at least stand toe to toe with him him. As for Clem and David... maybe that's a bit unlikely but it was more that she had a gun to his head. And I don't know what you're talking about with Javi and David because Javi stood no chance, he'd be dead if not for Clem.
If you start fighting back at the first hit he hits david back pretty hard
Yeah, I was going to say that.. Kenny and Jane specially, and the fact that the only way to stop the fight is if one dies. Like Clem couldn't just shoot into the air or Kenny's shoulder or something. But oh well...
David and Javi's fight makes more sense to me but makes Kate seem fucking stupid to choose that moment to reveal about her feelings/relationship with Javi (and the way she does it if you're in a relationship with her). This right here is what made me hate her at the end of the season and why she's dead on my canon playthrough.
Sure but David doesn't fall over.
Well, Javi is a baseball player. All that swinging, running and throwing ought to make you pretty strong.
True
Kate in general is just pretty damn stupid, and its pretty obvious that she was literally made to create almost every conflict in the entire game
First thing first in season one Lee when he fought the stranger he was a total mess, he was infected he was dying slowly and getting weak, so it wouldn't be surprising if the stranger put up a match with him.
For the Kenny vs mike thing I don't have what to say, you maybe right the situation was some how unrealistic, Kenny is older than he was than season one and he can get overpowered by Lee in the train fight and he is younger and stronger, but when he get older and obviously weaker he was able to overpower mike who is almost as strong as Larry in season one.
For David and javi's you forget that javi is a baseball player he had a strong arm, and how much the arm get stronger the punch that she lands get harder.
Clem taking David down from what I saw David didn't see clem coming at high speed, and clem is a totally overpowerd girl since season two she was able to over run adults overpower two walkers on her, kick a door down that Carl grime in TWD tv after the prison arc wasn't able to take it down with his shoulder at full speed and he was older than 11 year clem I don't think it so much surprising to see clem take down David like that, I don't think I will get surprised if she took down Jesus in a hand a hand fight clem is totally overpowered character and unrealstic.
A bunch of farmers beat the biggest and best trained military, its called the Revolutionary War. The bigger you are the harder you fall. Clem knocks down nearly every walker before she pikes it so its not surprising she can knock down someone bigger then her.
Now I want Clem to fight Jesus!
Clem vs Jesus dawn of the walking dead
Lee was dying. He was either missing an arm and slowly losing strength from blood loss, or suffering from the zombie virus which would affect his blood even faster when he kept the arm. The thought of saving Clem gave him enough strength to walk through the horde and fight The Stranger, but still, Lee was one foot in the grave and barely standing straight. Hell, he fainted couple minutes later, never to get up again.
Mike didn't quite agree with Kenny's ideas but he wasn't as hot-headed as Kenneth, so most likely he tried to refrain from fighting and just protect himself. He was also held as a prisoner and probably planning to earn his trust back, in order to get out of the pen. He had no reason to fight some impulsive guy other than attracting Troy's/Carver's attention and get punished for it. I'm sure he would punch him eventually if Clementine didn't stop them.
I'm not gonna justify the lack of logic in ANF tho.
You left out Ava knocking down Tripp.
Lee was bitten or losing a lot of blood. Either way he was clearly at a major disadvantage no matter what the case. If he was at 100% it would have turned out differently. I think I could even beat up the Stranger
Mike did nothing to resist and Kenny was pissed.
You got me there
I always thought Kenny vs Jane was pretty dumb and infuriatingly onesided considering how much they hyped Jane up your nose.
I always got the idea that while the Stranger was a bit malnourished, he's been surviving on his own for quite some time and is roughly Lee's size anyway. The fact that Lee was on the road to eventualy turning and determinately has a missing arm just made "fighting" him that much easier.
Kenny caught Mike by surprise and Mike was clearly trying to keep his cool(and somewhat failing).
Javier always looked much thicker than David to me and it's not like David has much time to work out as Security Leader of Richmond. Add in the age difference and Javier should have the anatomical advantage.
Same things as Kenny vs Mike: she caught him by surprise after he had presumably ran up to the door and was recovering from the stress of being out there with walkers starting to target him.
