Which ending has a better story
I realized that it's not about emotion that makes a better story, it's about the story itself. Just like my last discussion, I want to ask y'all which has a better and fitting ending to season 3.
- David dies and says farewell to Javi, the only difference is that Kate will die as well instead of disappearing.
- David and Gabe dies, Gabe shoots himself.
- David and Gabe dies, Javi shoots Gabe.
Please let me know, and I'll think about the it. Thank you.

I believe the cannon/preferred ending is Javier,Kate and Gabe surviving with David dying and Clementine searching for AJ.
The reason why I didn't put that there was to keep the walking dead vibe to it. That ending is not sad enough to have the vibe compared to the 3 I've posted. Thanks for the comment though.
Probably the one where Kate & Gabe lives but David dies. It feels like it's the most canon ending.
But mark my words, it's definitely not the most "truest" TWD ending. It's way too happy.
Just like I said before, it doesn't have that walking dead vibe to it. So I won't choose that one.
The one with the most walking dead vibe to it, is probably the one where you have to shoot Gabe while only Kate lives. It's the most heart-breaking and emotional.
Also, the one where you have to shoot Kate is pretty hurtful, especially if you shipped Javi & Kate all the way.
If you want the true sad walking dead ending, you should pick from those 2 endings. The others are too happy(ish). Or you could go with the one where only Gabe lives and Kate ends up missing. It's one of the saddest ones too, since you find David bit.
Thanks for answering.
in my story Gabe and Kate survived.. and David dies. Is there any chance to have everyone alive?
This is what Disney would make the ending if they were in charge. Not Walking Dead esque at all.
No someone always has to die
With Disney atleast we would get quality writing and a good story which I'd gladly take.
Or just a cartoonishly "good" ending with no real emotional payoff
Gabe and David dying with Kate alive only.
the ending where david and gabe live and kate dies is the canon one i feel because that's the one that is shown in the keyart. also it does make more sense because javi's incentive is to protect his family, so he would really go after his immediate family.
Well this ending had no payoff other than the Clementine installment confirmation.
Gabe and Kate surviving and David dying.
Javier took care of Kate and Gabe for 4 years, and lose one of them would mean that he was so close to give them a safe place but he failed. David is his brother and his death is tragic for Javier too. But David himself said in episode 4 "I dont care about what happens to me, I just want Kate and Gabe to be safe" and in that ending, he dies but the people he cared about survived.
Definitely the ending where Gabe & David die and Kate lives. It's the most emotional one and gives the better Walking Dead vide to it.
The ending with Kate & Gabe living is too happy for a Walking Dead story.
I got the 'best' ending (Kate+gabe alive) on my first playthrough, pretty happy with it imo
david and gabe die. javi shoots him.... thats what i got .
I got that ending and I wasn't satisfied, rather would have preferred the other ones tbh
For me personally, the one where Kate and Clementine stay behind to save Richmond while Javier rescues Gabe and David is bitten. For a brief period, it allows Javier and David to make amends and it allows David to resolve his character arc. Granted, that doesn't stop it from being the worst episode, but it makes it slightly more tolerable for me.
