Would you want the games to be remade in the future?
I just want to know how others feel on this topic. If Telltale decided to remake the trilogy of TWD games (or more) and added more/new/cut scenes to each episode, added more effects for our choices, more meaningful endings, treated determinant characters better, changed the story-line to make it more coherent, gave us hubs, puzzle solving and more development for characters that actually needed it, would you be okay with the remake?
I know allot of people don't find it favorable for a game series to be remade rather than just remastered but some games could honestly benefit more from allot of changes.
This is of course a pipe dream, but I just like to imagine characters like Nick and Sarah surviving Season 2, the Season 2 endings actually coming into effect in Season 3 and Clementine's personality actually being determined on our choices from the previous games and not just based on the endings or having just one set personality for her.

I prefered the graphism in the TWD 1 and 2, I am not really fan of the changements brought in ANF, it is what I liked the most in the 2 first, this comics books art in the appearance, I am not fan of the shiny faces they give to the character in ANF
In ANF I thik telltale was running out of time, because clearly they tried to put the possibilty to get Javi burnt by new frontiere marks and shaved with new clothes, but that part haven't been realised saddly
Absolutely not. The game just released and you are already talking about a remake? Maybe you should be thinking about better ways to spend your money rather then giving it to people who consistently disappoint you.
It didn't just release, The Walking Dead Game Season One released in 2012, Season 2 in 2013 and A New Frontier has released all of it's episodes that we've been told about. Also I'm not talking about a remake now or in the next few years, but what people would think of a remake to improve the game in the future.
Firstly, I already do that, I don't waste my money. Secondly, whilst I am disappointed in the latest season and Telltale as a company right now, I'm far from disappointed at the first two seasons of the game, all I am doing is wondering whether others wouldn't mind to see them remake the game for the better and they don't consistently disappoint, A New Frontier is the first time I've been disappointed about a game I've looked forward to.
And perhaps you shouldn't make assumptions on how people spend their money.
Let's talk about it again in 20 years okay buddy?
That's the usual time for a remake.
Will it fix that terrible glitch in the finale of Season 2 where Luke fell in the lake?
Okay ;.;
But then I can't call him vanilla ice any more.
I don't see why it can't be discussed now...
Maybe, it could depend on your choices next time?
ANF is Released and it is the worst of the bunch. IF you like the first two seasons so much leave them alone. IF you are disappointed in TT so much why are you encouraging them to remake stuff so you can give them more money? Spend it on what you want dude but be aware that not spending it is the only power you have against game companies.
The reality is TTG is hungering for a killer hit but bumping against a wall.
Honestly there's a better chance the franchise gets a reboot some 5-10 years(optimistically) in the future by a different dev who decides to pick up the IP.
Not even trying to diss TTG, but they're obviously not overachieving right now.
I like the first two seasons, yes, but the second season, at least, could do with some form of improvement to develop it's many characters. I'm not encouraging TT to make a remake, all I have done is ask what others would think about a remake. I do spend it on what I want, I guess my reply went above your head? If I'm clearly showing a positive attitude towards a remake then of course I'd be happy to spend my money on it (if done right) and don't worry, I don't spend my money on games I know I don't like, I always do the smart thing and look up reviews, opinions from friends and watch videos on it, I never believe solely what a company tells me.
Strictly speaking, I'm not a fan of remakes/reboots in any media format ( movies, books, or video games ). With a studio working on a single new release per year as nearly the general rule, I much prefer original content, characters, and something fresh. However, with every Golden Rule there are clear exceptions ( Resident Evil Remake, John Carpenter's The Thing, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D, Last of Us Remastered ).
As cherished as Season One is, I'm not even certain as to how much it would benefit from being remastered/extended. I'd be a bit dubious as to how the graphics would be portrayed as it had such a great, unique comic shading render that doesn't appear in the new engine they're working with at the moment. It might be an opportunity to introduce new fans to Clementine and clear up some old glitches, but I'm not sure how much of a return TellTale would see from their investment in such an endeavour.
I think both my posts went over your head cause you are only rambling on about that one part buddy. But the overwhelming response to your question seems to be no.
Your posts were you disagreeing with my OP and trying to give me unneeded advice on how to spend my money, if there's more to it than that please feel free to elaborate.
And I don't mind if the overwhelming response is a 'no' (which only has about three people being against at currently), I'm getting what I asked for, which is a response to the question.
I suppose you're right in that regard, a remake would possibly be met with negative reception as it would make it seem as though Telltale was originally being lazy, although with the advancements in technology in the future, having multiple story routes could be a possible goal and could end up benefiting older Choice-based games, but people will likely always have mixed feelings about a beloved game being remade (even some of the reception towards FF7's Remake were negative).
"Your posts were you disagreeing with my OP"
That's called a response.
I disagreed with you. And since you weren't interested in the remake for a decade or so merely wondered if your time couldn't be better spent on something else.
I hate that this is even a question.
I don't think so, nor would I want them to do a remake. Maybe as a 25 year anniversary or something, but even then I wouldn't like that. I would rather see them create new stories for other characters than remake what has already happened in Clementine's story...Or just continuation of Clem's story in general. But remake? no. I agree with most people here, I think with ANF just wrapping up, this is an odd time to even bring this up. 2012 was 5 years ago lol. It took them 2 years between s2 and s3, imagine how long it would take them to remake and give us new, more developed content?
depends on if the remakes have revamped choices and new outcomes for the game like for example Nick and Sarah either having a better death scene or being able to make it to no going back while having some decent scenes like Ben during no time left.
