If it weren't for that alarm going off when Lily and Lee went into the drug store the herd wouldn't had come into the store and kill Carly / Doug

If you think about it, his heart problem caused the death of both of them. The alarm for the first one, and his death causing Lilly to eventually kill the other.
I'd say it was more so Lee's fault, considering he was the one who offered to help Larry and he is the one who opens the Drugstore and trips the alarm.
That's a fair point. We can't overlook Ben's involvement in the second death, either. I guess his condition was just one cause out of many.

Yeah his heart problems weren't his fault (or maybe they were his fault because of lifestyle, who knows) but him getting all worked up over every little thing made them far, far worse and he still wouldn't calm down.
Since it was his family's pharmacy you'd think Lee would have known there was an alarm and to make sure it wasn't armed. He seemed surprise by it when it tripped, but the power was still on so idk why he'd expect it to not work.
