Clementine Closer to Rick & Group?
Someone said on Steam that Robert Kirkman said after Ep.5 is released, Clementine will be closer to Rick and the others in both timeframe & distance.
So does that mean Rick and the others might appear in Season 4 or will Clem briefly show up in the comics soon? I can see Telltale making Clem do a quick 'pitstop' to Alexandria to stay a night to stock up on ammo and food before she returns to her journey back to find AJ.
What do you think?

If they make Rick or his group appear I'm fucking done. That means that TTG has completely given up.
Not even for a quick cameo? What's so wrong about that? I don't find anything wrong with it, it's not like they're going to be there the whole season and steal her spotlight.
What's wrong is that means TTG has given up on writing a story and is dragging garbage from the copy-paste bin.
So you didn't enjoy Hershel and Glenn's appearance from S1?
Or Jesus' appearance in New Frontier?
Glenn was in Season 1 Episode 1 as a tie-in with the comics because the TellTale games and the comics exist in the same universe (as opposed to the show which is its own thing, like an alternate universe version where things happened a little differently).
The only reason people jerk off Jesus being there is that the rest of the story is so weak.
There's no business adding comic characters, it's just lazy. The season 1 appearances were sparse and short enough that it didn't detract from the main story.
That's basically what I'm trying to say if Rick and his group somehow make a cameo next season. Just a quick 5-10 minute scene with Clem interacting with Rick or Carl (I prefer Carl) about why she's there and where she's heading the next day.
I'd actually love that, if Clem had little cameos in the comic and more comic characters had cameos in the games as a way to further tie the comics and the TellTale games together. Afterall, unlike the show which is its own thing, like an alternate universe where things happened a little differently, the comics and the TellTale games exist in the same universe and use each other as canon. So far, aside from Lee not being able to convince Glenn to stay at the end of S1E1 (because Glenn was a major comic character from the beginning so he couldn't be in the game long term), that hasn't really amounted to anything since the games were taking place at a different time and different place than the comics but the games can't contradict anything in the comics (like pulling characters that were dead or too far away etc) and conversely, the comics won't be able to contradict the games. Additionally, Clem is about 2-3 hours away from Rick's group in Alexandria. Well, maybe longer since roads may be impassable, but point is she's very close. Close enough that Jesus was able to be a part of Season 3. As the time gap closes, it'll be more and more likely that Clem will end up crossing paths with the main comic cast, especially if that ranch she's heading to is in the direction of DC, which is basically where Rick and everyone in the comics live.
You know it won't be that easy. They won't be able to resist dragging it out and making stupid mistakes.
It was fine for Lee's group because they had to move on and Glenn too.
It's a slippery slope is all I'm saying.
Please no. Then people will start shipping Clementine & Carl together way more seriously. I as sure as shit don't want to see that.
why do people care so much about cameos of comic characters? we should completely encourage telltale to just focus on developing any new characters they have created. it doesn't add anything to the story to begin with.
we get it, you ship clem and carl rather than clem and gabe. he could make a cameo, but nothing romantic will go on
I see what you're trying to say and I hope they don't drag it out as well, but I doubt they will considering the comics is Rick and the others' story while the game is Clem's.
Much like Glenn, Clem will move on from Rick and the others too. She won't stay at Alexandria for more than a day since she still has to find AJ. She'll only stay to gain her energy and get a good sleep before leaving.
If Telltale wants to make the scene meaningful, have Rick or Carl tell Clem to keep searching for him, even if he's states away.
I rather not have any romantic thing going on as of now. I just want them to interact because I think there's so many things they can criticize about one another.
I agree. I enjoyed the comic cameos but I'd rather have it just that: cameos. I don't want Rick to be in 3 episodes like Jesus but only in 1 episode with a screen time of like 5-10 minutes like Hershel from Season One.

You do understand what a cameo is, right? A cameo doesn't mean someone is an integral part of the story. It means they have a small part and move on. Hershel in Season 1 was a cameo. I almost forgot about him. He was a major comic character and had a small part in the game as a way to tie the two medias together. A cameo could be something as simple as Clem talking to an NPC (who happens to be a comic character) to get some information. Jesus' "cameo" was honestly more of a small part than a true cameo.
Giving some comic characters cameos as minor NPCs (think Francine) in the game is a really good thing for everyone and here's why.
People who don't read the comics won't know so won't care.
The design work for those characters is already done. Just pull their looks from the comic into the 3D model and done. No having to make a dozen different versions of the same character to decide what they'll wear or how their hair will look etc.
Comic readers will appreciate the cameos a ton. I can't even begin to describe how stoked I was when Glenn and Hershel showed up in Season 1.
That would be great. I've always wanted to see how Rick would be depicted in the Telltale series.
I don't get when folks think all Telltale characters need to stay far away from the comics and show when they are all connected. Well spiritually related to the show I guess.
Jesus was awesome in season 3. They've always done the comic characters justice atleast. I would pray Rick shows up as well soon in the game. Even Carl would be interesting too.
i know, but every minute has value. for instance, in anf, every episode was incredibly short. jesus appears in three different episodes, so they focus on him sometimes. they need to focus more on just the cast at hand, rather than just putting more characters into the game to lure in the comic fans.
That's true unless a comic character helps develop another game character. For instance, let's say someone like Rick helps Clem's character by giving her advice about family or people to help her change her view on certain people.
No... If it happens then she'd be in both. But the choices thing... so... Kirkman would make cannon choices, that'd be hard for him. He'd get lots of hate from stubborn people who think he chose the wrong choices. Like the season 2 ending affects her appearance. So...
Also Jesus in ANF is a big plot hole. See: ANF takes place during "All Out War" comics. During all out war, Jesus is either in Alexandria, The Hilltop, or fighting the saviors. No where else.
Also, Rick is the main character and if he's in the games, then it HAS to be shown in comics, already said why that's not smart.
Rick and Carl are the MAIN MAIN MAIN characters. So I think it would interfere with the comic plot too much. Maybe Maggie, or Alpha/Beta,(only Alpha or Beta if it's before the whisperers.) Sophie maybe, because she isn't the comics that much, she's always just in the backround.
*Sophia not Sophie
I'm ok with cameos and Jesus type cameos, however I don't want telltale to go overboard or start loading up main cast members as comic characters.
Me too. People keep worrying that comic characters will ruin the story despite only being in the game for like 10 minutes. It hasn't happened so far, so they don't need to worry.
Jesus is from Hilltop isn't he? That's where Maggie is. So it would make sense (kinda) if Clem went to hilltop. I would want Clem to realize that she knew Maggie's Husband and father. you know get really sappy with it. anything less would be unacceptable.
So your stating that a brief cameo from either Rick or Carl would effect the comic in a bad way? Even if the comic somehow does a small time skip, wouldn't that open the door of possibilities to show Rick or Carl in the game?
ANF takes place in the 2 year gap between Negan's defeat and the Whisperer arc.
Hilltop, Alexandria, Kingdom, and the Sanctuary (Savior base) are all close to each other around the DC area, which DC itself is about 3 hours from Richmond.
They focused on Jesus some because he was somewhat important. He got Javi and the group to Richmond and then he and his Hilltop soldiers baited all the walkers outside the city at the end.
And again, if you don't read the comics, then these characters don't mean anything to you and you wouldn't know if they were comic characters or original and it wouldn't matter. So where's the harm in having some comic characters mixed into the story? Either they use a comic character, or they invent a totally new one to do the same thing. Either way, the thing gets done so why does it matter?
Cameos are great. Rick one would be awesome as well.
No way !
I stopped to watch that boring show it is not for see these smoothed characters in my videogame
Comics are different. I started to read them and so far, I enjoyed it after they made second half of the season as a trash in TV. Comic character development is different than TV. I found comics so successfull.
Even if the comics is books I couldn't read it now, not after 5-6 season of that show, now each character from that show piss me of, so I don't want even see then in the comics
Even if the comics is good
Yeah, the comics are WAY different than the TV show. To me they're much darker and the characters are far better than portrayed in the TV show (Rick, Carl, Michonne, Tyreese, and Morgan are better in the comics than the show).

Agreed, so far so good.
