Go with Kate to save Richmond and have Clem come with you. By the time you seal the breach and go after your family, David will already be dead and Gabe will be dying.
You have 2 condition to do that.
1- If Clem will go wherever you go, choose to help Kate. Then they will go after Gabe but it will be too late and Gabe will already got bitten.
2-If Clem will choose to go with Kate, choose to help Kate as well. Rest will be same with condition 1.
3-If Clem will go wherever you dont or if she will choose to help Gabe, Gabe will be alive whatever you pick. You or Clem will be able to save him.
What do I have to do to get clem to go with me?
That depends on the choices you have made in the previous episode flashbacks as well as your Season 2 ending, I think.
Basically it all comes down to whether you chose to accept Ava's offer, inject AJ or not, and spit in David's face/say goodbye. Go to reddit, someone posted an exceptionally good and detailed explanation about this. But in short, for gabe to die you need clem to side with you and go (both) with kate. The other ways will always save gabe no matter what. Hope this helps
Accept Ava's offer
Inject AJ
These will make Clem loyal and she will not left you alone.
Reject Ava
Inject AJ
Spit in David's face
That's what I did in my game, and it caused Clem to go with Kate. Then, as Javi, you have to choose to go with Kate as well, which will cause both Gabe and David to die.
Just the flashbacks. The Season 2 endings only determines how Clem will react to Gabe dying (Kenny = hug, Alone = hold hands, Wellington = Clem saying he deserved better, and that's it, there are no other ways for Clem to react to his death).
