I feel like ANF was more like a Spin-Off rather than a season 3,even though following Clem's story,it doesn't focus on her,but on Javi's story and considering the determinative deaths in the ending of the game I feel like what Telltale was trying to do with ANF was to show other how other people are going trough the apocalipse rather than focusing on a charachter the fans already know,and at the same time to show what happened to Clementine after Season 2 before realeasing the true season 3(being ANF a spin-off or a prequel) and maybe that is what Telltale meant by saying "Clementine's story will continue" after you end ANF

In my opinion, it was "big" spin-off/DLC, even if it isn't called that way officially.
I see it as a unofficial reboot or a large DLC test project.
Well, to me it's a spinoff that builds up to the next season (hopefully the real season 3).
Well, the title isn't Season 3 so...
ANF is season 3. Accept it.
It plays and feels like a spinoff, don't why Telltale made this into a main twd season when it could have been more successful and as a good build up to the next season and the community might have been more forgiving. I still hope that they will still branch this New Frontier arc into a spinoff as it is begging to be one and it is an interesting story arc that I wish would have been more fleshed out in this season.

I feel as though ANF would have made a better spin off than Season 3, as I'd hope it would've been given more time put into it if it could have had more seasons to grow these characters.

In many regards ANF is a spinoff, regardless of it being referred to as 'Season 3'. There really wasn't much point to ANF, the aim of the season was to find out where AJ went, but we the 'player' did not find out what happened to AJ/find him.
Conclusion is that this season was indeed a filler season.

I think telltale gave us this season to see our Clem in anoter perspective. As a partner, or maybe a friend. I really liked this season (despite what others might say) becahse of its characters and the way you're able to get an insight on who Clem is without actually controlling her. Just my personal opinion
It would've worked a lot better if Telltale kept their promise of the "42 Clementines". Everyone's Clementine acted the same way in every game, no matter what choices you made and what ending you got last season.

ANF was a one-night-stand game and TT knows it very well. They had lied to themselves by thinking they could make a game entirely devoted to a fresh group of people, while they couldn't even handle the continuation of the previous game. They couldn't bring themselves to leave Clem outta this, as they knew very well Clementine is a very heart of this series. They realized it at the end, with that kitschy Bollywood-drama announcement: "Clementine's story will continue...", just to desperately keep us around for their next game.
The game files call It season 3. So it's not a spin off.
A lot of the stuff they cut seemed like a mistake, the slaughterhouse and a turned Mari, as well as Javi becoming one of the new frontier would be interesting.

People like you piss me off because you don’t realise how stupid you are. It’s not our damn fault we can’t get a bloody refund on this shitty game. On PS4 and Xbox it’s simply impossible. On Steam Ep1 and 2 = 2 hours which means no refunds.
