If you purchase all the Episodes, both Season and Adventure Pass, you get a message saying "Thank your for purchasing MCSM Season 1". Meaning this is the first season and possibly a second one.
This means the Adventure Pass isn't Season 2, and Episodes 1 - 5 isn't Season 1. Episodes 1 -8 is Season 1.

I've already made it perfectly clear that I like Minecraft Story Mode, but I just don't think it needs a Season 2, especially since the Adventure Pass has given it a second season already.
Why is it that when I see I don't want a Season 2, people immediately jump on me, or anyone else, and claim I don't like the game, despite the fact that I have said in both replies above that I do enjoy it. Either read the whole thing before throwing a temper tantrum, or just leave. I've been a part of this community for almost 2 years, and I love this place, the people, and the games that Telltale makes. It's people like you that ruin the fun and make me regret ever becoming a part of this community.

You know (this is just a theory) but what if season 2 were to be like the adventures of ivor because at the end of episode 8 he escapes with the portal key and that could be like a hint. But then you have that last minute option so it will probably only ever be a theory.
There should be a season 2. This game is like unfinished game to me. Actually all games which don't have season 2 are like unfinished game to me. Hopefully, they decide to make it soon. I was having fun while playing.
I don't know what will happen but we will fight with new enemies for sure lol
In season 2 i think we may go back to sky city and see how isa,milo and reginald are setling after findong land and maybe we could make choice to bring aiden and the blaze rods back home or leave them there and why do i feel like if there is a season 2 hardian or mevia will be a playable charater

Most players predict that there will be a S2, but it isn't confirmed by TellTale yet.

Minecraft: Story Mode is meant to be an original game.. I don't think they'll implement Minecraft characters.
