My dislike for Gabe has nothing to do with him being whiny or being a kid, it's because he's an ungrateful pos. I literally made every decision around maintaining a good relationship between Gabe and Javi, and yet he screws everything up. None of it even mattered. Oh hey, you made a ridiculous decision and I got stabbed and decided not to rat you out to Kate but ok rat me out about Conrad in the next breath. He's ungrateful, he's a liability, he should know better, and he has no regard for anyone's safety but his own and apparently his dad's. I just think he's a weak annoying character and he really brought this season down for me. I will do whatever I have to do to prevent him and Clem. I will kill everyone to save her.

I don't really hate Gabe anymore. I use to dislike him because he ratted out the murder of Conrad to Tripp and Eleanor but the AMA revealed he didn't mean to do that. Now I just don't care about him.

Seems a bit like a cop-out on Telltale's part, considering that Gabe never apologizes for selling out his uncle to Tripp and Eleanor afterwards (unless I've missed a scene).

Regrettably the writers / director failed in showcasing Gabe's arc. It's no secret I don't care for him, but I did root for him the entire series to be given those opportunities in game. He could've been a great addition - David, Kate, Javier, and Gabe if they'd been given a better script, could have easily over taken Season 2's cabin crew and been as great as Season 1's cast. You shouldn't need to pick apart a game's audio files for character moments.
The backlash for ANF is mostly disappointment that this could've been a masterpiece with some rearranging. Try not to let all this get you down though. There's nothing wrong with having a difference in opinion - whether you're with the crowd or not - so long as you don't confuse your feelings for the idea with the people behind them.
I must have forgotten about that part, or had thought that Gabe's apology wouldn't be enough to salvage how terrible he acted before.
Then again, it was ridiculous that anyone would think that selling out a relative for killing someone to save your life to everyone in the room would be a good idea.
He does it in the junkyard hub. And I wanna say he does something similar in From the Gallows, but I don't recall
Plus, I thought it was pretty clear that was the case anyway given the proceeding dialogue

The… moren again, it was ridiculous that anyone would think that selling out a relative for killing someone to save your life to everyone in the room would be a good idea.
Soldiers also do things all the time at the command of their commanders. Clem has no knowledge that they were acting on anyone orders other than David's, the natural assumption is that David ordered it. And considering the person who David is and Clem's history with him, it's not a leap of the imagination.
No, you're completely wrong, he stopped trying to help AJ, that wasn't extra medicine, it was putting him back on it. The dialogue clearly shows David stopped caring about AJ and refused to keep helping him. What game did you fucking play?
She's not saying the plan is suicide, she's saying the plan is great, what part of this are you not getting? Allow me to explain this again, Joan and Clint are unaware that they have a means of escape if they go along with the plan. Joan and Clint assume that, if they are exiled, they will die as a result of the herd. But Gabe realizes that, and says that they have the armored truck, which will act as their means of escape, and Clem is agreeing with him that the armored truck will work. She's acknowledging that Joan and Clint are counting on them dying if they are exiled, but she knows they won't because of the truck.

we talked about Gabe and Mariana biological mom and we talked how David was actually a little bit mad at everything
Chuck, not Vernon. Anyway, yeah I am not defending Ben's actions, but his and Gabe's characters share quite a bit in common was my point. Mostly in the trying to help, but continuously screwing up way. Or expecting/demanding to have responsibilities and proving to be completely useless.
Whenever I watch the ending where both Clementine and Javi go after Gabe, the part that hits me the hardest is when Gabe says, “You came after me, Javi. After everything I’ve done… I was always arguing– always making life harder. And I was a bad son. I wouldn’t have come after me.” He’s honestly so surprised that Javi actually chose to come after him. He acknowledges the fact that he’s been difficult and despises himself for it.
It makes the end where neither Clem or Javi goes after Gabe a million times more painful because you know that as Gabe tried to convince his dad to turn back, as their truck crashed and walkers surrounded them; he was hoping that Javi– or someone –would come to save them. And as his dad was bit, as he had to stop his dad from turning, as he was bit himself and lay choking on his own blood, dying, it must have hit him that no one was coming. He realized that no one cared enough to go after him, and that Javi had other priorities. He didn’t blame Javi for not coming to his rescue because he understood, and if he was Javi in that situation, he would have done the same. He wouldn’t have gone after himself. He truly believes that what is happening is his fault, and that he deserves it, and that breaks my heart
Bitter that I had to see my favorite character forced into a poorly done romance with whiny, irritating Gabe, which betrays the Clementine I… more created in the previous 2 seasons without giving me a say in the matter, despite the fact we technically get to play as her in the game, and Javi having the choice of not pursuing anything with Kate, but we don't have the same luxury with Clem? Yeah, that would make me pretty bitter. He's good for Clem in that his stupidity is going to get her killed...oh wait, that's not good at all.

I WAS kinda ticked off at him after the snitching, but he won my respect back in time, especially after he Determinately TOLD OFF his Dad and Non-Determinately called him an "ASSHOLE" in Episode 5.
A lot of people hate him because a lot of players decided shooting conrad and then Gabe sold us so is loud with hate Gabe because few players decide accept Conrad plan

oops my mind was in the game playing 400 days texting my friend but Vernon must've been confused
true
The romance was forced. I never seen Clementine grow feelings just like that lol

Gabe is shitbird.

Is shitbird reference to pigeon in english ? That could fit well to gabe, I easily imagine him put a droppings on Javi's car just after Javi washed it

Yeah, but as established, Gabe wasn't really thinking about that at the time.
Reallly though, that scene's implementation sucked pretty damn hard.
your kinda defending him
Jesus fucking Christ, chill out with those posts
That doesn't change anything.
It's likely just that doublepost error yet again.

I don't actually MIND him and Clem potentially being a thing. I just don't like the fact that they FORCED it and made it Non-Determinant.

They forced it, but I actually think it's determinant, depending on what Ending you get from both S2 and NF.
