Well, in the beginning and until the middle of the 4th and 4th, Gabe really sucks, regardless of being a person like any other. But, hi, we're in the Zombie Apocalypse and you can not afford to be tantrum. And it should also take into account that it only matured and became interesting in the 5th and 5th. I would say that this 'hatred' is the fruit of the bad written by Telltale. Example? Just see how well it was written in the flashback in which he was still a child, when Javi and Kate go out to collect supplies. Then it was only downhill.
For everyone that thinks that Gabe isnt good enough for Clem to like him, I would like to say that love isnt about of how worthy someone is, or even the skills that person has.
Love is selfless, and despite your opinion, from Clems eye’s Gabe was more than worthy of that love.
So yeah, even if you think Gabe wasnt good enough. For Clem he was, and that is all that matters.

What exactly has Gabe messed up

A handful of Gabe threads with opinions.
At this point, I can understand that this argument is because of Telltale's poorly written story about Gabe and his family. What I have to say is that if we got to see more of Gabe from when he was kid until now (like what happened with Clementine) he could have been more rational. The fact that he was in a van for FOUR YEARS doesn't help, either. This could be the reason to why he is so nervous and emotionaly unstable. I mean he didn't communicate with other people for FOUR YEARS! Do you know what that means...?
Thus, what I want to say is that it's Telltale's fault that Gabe is what he is right now and I wish this wasn't the case but, unfortunately, it is.
Now please, try to understand me and I hope that I helped to solve this little problem that occured.
We're 4 fucking years into the apocalypse, how have you not learned what to do and what not to do by now, like don't charge out of your hidi… moreng spot to attack a man who doesn't even know you're there. So long as he makes decisions like this, he will be a danger. And of course he can learn, and hell, that should have been a much more major subplot of the season that could have actually worked to benefit Clem and Gabe's relationship (whether it be romantic or platonic). Have Clem be a sort of teacher for Gabe, have them bond, interact, and learn to understand each other this way. Give the player control of Clem in this regard, have her teach Gabe everything she's learned from Lee, Christa, Kenny, Jane, Luke, etc., that would have been great for both characters and would have done so much to make their relationship far more believable and genuine. We never got this, and Gabe ends up being the same screw up at the end as he was in the beginning, a… [view original content]

Yea, but either way it doesn't really give you much leeway to prevent it on Javi's end up until the ending.
That's true. You would think there would be choice as Javier to either give them your blessing or tell her to stay away.
True. She DID say at the end that she was gonna miss him.
