Fear not. (Spoiler for season 4)
Ellie will be coming to clean TWDG house in season 4 and then they will have to reboot because no characters will be left. Word on the street is the TWDG characters are the ones that Ellie is going to find.

Who?
You don't know????????Ellie might be coming to find you to then.
Ew.
wdy mean ew
Maybe she can start a search and rescue mission too, help us find our good friend Max
you're freaking me out man.
Joan killed Max...think about it....why keep him alive if he was going to rat you out?
Now I hope ND doesn't change the story, they said it will a revenge story which is what A New Frontier was supposed to be. I'm a huge fan of revenge stories.
NF Clementine would make short work of Ellie.
Doesn't mean I don't like Ellie. Both are cool end of world sidekicks.
I have to disagree. I think what Ellie did in the Winter section tops everything Clementine's done.
Eh. I'm not a huge fan of Ellen Page myself. : P
Yeah I'm basically just trying to start a character war. I love both.
But has Ell toppled down any millennium oak trees through telekinesis? Clem also had to care for a hungry whiny baby with zombies around every corner for months on end. While Joel was pretty much quiet as a mouse.
There's no one left to find
There's no one left to find
That seems like the obvious explaination, yes. Especially with the character shift she undergoes between episodes.
However, the AMA reveals he and Lonnie were banished for their actions by Clint.

This scene automatically makes Ellie better than Clementine.
That "upgrad" season 2 picture is totally fucked, she looks more like if Sarah could have aged, she doesn't even look like barely Ellie
You mean Jodie Holmes from Beyond Two Souls?
Ellie just uses Page's appearance, she is played by Ashley Johnson.
Did you forget the fact that people change due to their ages? How can someone look the same?
Nobody change to the point to be a total different person !
take a random person around you which doesn't know the games , show the 2 photos, and dare say to me they think it was the same character
She was 14 in Last of us 1
You could find differences between à 9 years old kid which reached 18 or 20, but at 14 almost all your bones structure is already build ! So yeah you can change, but you don't turn to a new person
I'm still sure anything Ellie has done to date, New Frontier Clem is also more than capable of. She almost bit off a finger once in S2.
I do like both characters not saying Ellie sucks or anything of the sort, but S3 Clem was a bit more overly vicious to her enemies recently in similar ways to Ellie. And that's weird since Ellie has lived with her apocalypse longer, like 15 years since she was born I think they said (haven't played in a few years and only played through that game once). I couldn't see Ellie capping a dude in the head for a few dud bullets then spitting in a army guy's face triple her size for kicking her out of the group.
Maybe they are actually on a even level of badass now that I think more about it. Clickers are more menacing than walkers to evade.
Alright, I'm not trying to start a fight here when I say this, and I sincerely apologize to all the people that liked this scene... but am I the only one that simply did not like this line?
It just sounded ridiculous to me. Like it was trying a bit too hard. Don't really know what else to say. That being said though, I don't think I'd consider it cringey by any means, but I personally find it hard to take that line seriously. It's meant to be this badass boast, and I mean, I can see the appeal and why it worked for some people... but for me? It just comes across a bit too hammy for my liking.
Well let's not forget that Joel didn't let Ellie carry a gun until later in the game. Ellie was also shielded from leaving the Boston area.
I'm not saying Clementine is better than Ellie either, I think they're on par with one another. Clementine is more, or was more, viscous to her enemies because she grew up watching her friends and family die by bandits and other bad people. When AJ was "dead", she had no one left so she pretty much did not give a shit about anyone else but herself. Unlike Ellie who everyone she cared for either left her or died, but she didn't see it for herself. The only person who I believe she saw die before meeting Joel was Riley.
I think Ellie, actually, is more reliable than Clementine. Clementine did take care of AJ for a year or two (with or without help from Kenny, Jane, or Edith) but Ellie was able to fix Joel, who got impaled by a pole through his side, and hunt for food possibly for the both of them for a few months. She also had to move with a unconscious Joel constantly.
I agree but it's Sort of similar to that "still not bitten" remark from season 2 to me.
Doesn't mean I don't like Clem like i said with Ellie before, but Clem too is guilty of a couple cringey lines as well I know she said something in New Frontier's dialogue too but that games a bit forgettable so I cannot remember what.
Not that it's any of these character's voice actor's fault. but more so falls on the types of minds of the screen writers.
Yes I faintly remember something like this. I've played Telltale's Walking Dead series over and over to get different options and reactions but Last of Us only once a few years back, but this is where it gets complicated because Clementine has sewn up her own injured arm in wet and cold conditions. She passed out a couple times too which might indicate too much blood loss from the dog attack and Javier's arm much later on. Your right Clem took care of a baby alone most the time and babies are more demanding and whiny than grown men attracting danger likely every bit other day. A smaller and weaker Clem moved unconscious Lee to safety in a herd of zombies. Last Of Us might be closer to realism though but I don't see how Ellie moved unconscious Joel around for months.. without help from another person even if maybe by horse back. Then she'd also need the strength to move such a burly man on the horse. Ooh well both probably would out live other characters.

Ellie will be 19 in the next game. She was 14 in the first game, That is like comparing a college student to an 8th or 9th grader. Her looking a lot different makes total sense.
I think it was good because of how good the character development was for Ellie. People came to care for her so much that even lines given to her that serve no other purpose than to make her look like a bad ass work.
The character development and dialogue in general is much much better in Last of Us than is is in the TWDG series.
Aside from the 1ST Walking Dead game. THIS is the sad truth
T'was a bad joke because she was based off of Ellen Page.
When people recongnize your job
