A Let's Play of From the Gallows (I've always wanted to do one and you guys gave me the confidence)
I've been on this site since 2014, and I've loved every minute of it. People's playthroughs on here got me into watching Let's Plays in the first place; and all of the great/hilarious conversations made me want to contribute. So thank you. Alright, alright, enough sappy stuff, emotions are the worst. Here's the first part of my playthrough of the final episode of season 3.
Let me know what you think! AAAND more importantly, what you thought about decisions I've made. I love talking about that [Funny playthough of From the Gallows! Or at least my mom thinks it's funny. Or, at least she would if she ever stopped screening my calls]( Part 1 of TTTWD Season 3:ANF Ep 5, From the Gallows (AKA the world's longest title)

Just a quick question- How do you get your videos to look and sound the way they do? I can't figure out how to record my screen with sound and then also show me. Any help would be appreciated.
Also the picture of Eleanor as a trash can is ACCURATE
Eleanor is the WOOOOOOORST. I use bandicam There's a free version and paid version! Free version has the bandicam logo on it. Also, when you are playing bandicam (there's plenty of tutorials online) you'll come to a part where you choose your audio inputs, make sure you set the game audio (from your audio driver) and your mic audio to save as separate files. My mic actually isn't all that great, it has a lot of static, even when connected to a phantom power source, so I take the mic audio and run it through Adobe Audition to clean it up. (I'm not advising pirating adobe audition, but there ARE some out there just FYI) If you want info on making your audio sound better, i can come up with a write-up for that too
Then I take all of my files and put them into a program called VideoPad Editor (there's a free and premium version)
There i can adust my game vs mic audio to ensure I'm louder than the game, etc.
sorry, I forgot to ask, are you playing on PC?
Great to see people from the forums creating and sharing their content for TWD! Maybe it would be nice to replay from S1-S3?
I might do that!! I haven't played them in ages and it'd be great to go through again:D
I JUST UPLOADED PART2!
I'm actually a Mac user! That is all super helpful. I'm in the process of trying to build my Youtube Channel with multiple creative outlets and I'm sort of lost. Thank you so much for your help.
That's so awesome! Would you mind sharing the link to your channel!! Also do you want me to give you a mini walk through of adobe audition?
Sure! This is it. It's got two performances on there as of right now but I'm going to try to do some gaming, musical covers, and creative projects as well. That would be great!!! Thank you so much! -Hannah
And I JUST uploaded the FINAL part of my playthrough
I'm definitely gonna check out your channel a little bit later! first, the walkthrough
I'm definitely not an expert, and I'm not how coherent it'll be, but if you decide to use adobe audition I hope it makes sense.
When you open adobe audition, in the upper-left there should be a little section that says "wave form" and right next to it, "multitrack." click on the one that says multitrack and it'll prompt you to start a new project. Choose what you wanna name it and where you wanna save it and all that. Once you finish with that part, take your audio file and just drag it into adobe audition, it will load into the program. on the left hand side there's this section that has tabs labeled "media browser," "effects rack," "markers," etc. Click on the effects rack.
There are little power symbols and farther along the row there is an arrow symbol, click on that, it opens a dropdown menu that has different categories of effects listed. There are 3 effects you're going to want to add, there might be more that you discover as you tool around with the program, but these 3 are what I use and they are a godsend.
** It DOES matter what order you put the effects in**, but if you accidentally put them in the wrong order you can just drag and drop the columns.
So the first one you should have is under the category "Noise Reduction/Restoration." It's called "Adaptive Noise Reduction" the default option is fine for now, you can tweak it as needed later on.
The next one is under "amplitude and compression," it's called "multiband compressor." For this one a good option is "broadcaster."
The last one is under "filter and EQ" the effect is called "Graphic Equalizer (10 Bands)" and a good option for this one is "Vocal presence- Boost."
After you've added these, if you like them, from now on you can make this whole process MUCH quicker. Next to the "Presets" drop down box there should be an image of an arrow pointing downwards into a rectangle. If you click on it you can save your preset, and from now on anytime you are editing your audio you can just select your handy-dandy preset! After you're done with that, just make sure the power symbols for your effects are green. Then click File>export>multitrack mixdown>entire session. Then you choose where you wanna save it, what you wanna name it, and what format you want it it, (mp3, etc.) And that's it! You're done!! maybe you're much better with computers than I am and you could have figured this out quickly on your own, but it took me a little bit to figure everything out so hopefully this can help you streamline your process!!
Hey guys! I decided to play the whole series from the beginning since I was hit with so much nostalgia. this is Part 1 of my playthrough of season 1 episode 1
I just started making a playthrough of the whole series starting from season 1 it's great to be back with Lee and Clem. Thanks for the suggestion!!
Nice playthrough . Very good for someone "being new to YouTube". You're very pretty by the way
You are so sweet!! thank you so much I've been making videos for about a month and I think that still qualifies as a newbie :P I want to make sure I'm constantly improving! Any thoughts on what I should fix/work on?
I may disagree with most of your opinions but I have to admit you're really likeable! I love it! ^_^
Thank you The reason I love let's plays so much is because it let me see how other choices would playout, and the reasoning behind those decisions without having to play the whole game over again :P (or to get gratification from other people being as upset as me during really sad scenes, particularly the season 1 finale :P)
aaaaaand I'm back with part 2 of episode 1 of season 1
I was thinking of uploading some of the pictures I photoshopped just to the forums :P
Oh my gosh, that's brilliant! XD
Sounds like a great Idea! Your pictures are pretty hilarious! Especially the Eleanor-trashcan one.
Hahahaha thank you so much!! This is for you, then :P
Should I also post them in the photoshop & fun thread? (or whatever it's called, I can't remember)
Thanks for that! And yes I think you should post some there, too! They'll love them.
The Walking Dead Meme and Fun Thread
hahahaha thank you so much I was inspired by lee's line when he's wandering around the drug store in season 1 :P
sneak peak of a photoshopped image I'll have in my next video :P
I'm surprised it took this long for someone to make that.
yes that's exactly what he wanted to do with it, but someone went and shot a hole through it... I'm looking at you Carley.
Right??? It's such an obvious joke I was surprised I couldn't ding an image of it anywhere
Thank you so much for linking me! I'll definitely post there too ❤️
No problem!
hahahaha I love that you knew EXACTLY what I was referencing right off the bat
For someone who is new at YouTube, this wasn't half bad
aaaaaaand part 4 is now here
Thank you so much I'm hoping I can continually improve
Side note: I really welcome constructive criticism!! If anyone has any ideas or suggestions on how I can improve please let me know
I'm back with the start of episode 2! The first time I played it, this was the episode that cemented the fact that TWD was going to be one of my favorite video games of all time.
So it was bothering me how short Larry's arms are. And in my high school part of the dresscode was that skirts had to be longer than fingertip length. Thus this image was born!
and I quite literally JUsT posted this video!
from episode 1, if Clem had been a good hostess when Lee first arrived maybe she could have offered him some bourbon in her tea set (side note, when Lee saw a child's tea set why did he automatically think "I NEED SOME BOURBON RIGHT NOW")
