Why can't Javier...

Shoot David? I'm talking about the ending where you save Gabe & David without Clem.

Javier can choose to shoot Gabe or not.

Javier can choose to shoot Kate or not.

Yet with David, the game forces you to let Gabe shoot him... why?

I would be happy with that as my canon ending (it was the one I first got) but it doesn't feel right without Javi killing David, and my Javi wouldn't let Gabe do it either.

I was just looking for your guys thoughtson why Javi is given the option to shoot / leave Kate and Gabe, but not David, the one person I personally feel it's most appropriate to happen with?

  • It's because Episode 5 forced us to hate David.

  • Yep, they should give us choice

  • Yeah, someone brought this to my attention and it's like "what?" I mean, it's a lot more fitting for Gabe to do it, but at the same time, why give Javier a chance to object if there's no option for him to actually do it?

If that's the case, then why can't we shoot him? Or better yet, why was so much of the story centered around him with the finale somehow having him hijack it?
