What kind of character do you want in s4?

We love some characters and we hate some characters. Think about the characters you love and hate then ask yourself what makes them so lovable/annoying.

I'm gonna start with Omid. It's like he didn't take the apocalypse seriously. He made light of situations and bought smiles to our faces in the middle of heated arguments. He's like a cool uncle, ya know? ;P

In s4, I don't want any more discount Kenny's. I want a guy with some Lee and Omid mixed into his personality. A person who would rather keep the peace instead of going guns-blazing into a battle. Someone you'd go to for advice.

    I may be in the minority for this one, but I'd like it if Clementine has someone close to her own age next season to relate to. Gabe can't do that, since he can be dead in one ending AND he hasn't experienced anything Clementine had to. I think it'll create a few calm moments in the season and possibly an emotional feeling to it too.

    I'd hope they'll be like a Luke/Omid type of person (They care for other people's lives and have a good heart.)

    Hopefully there won't be a romance between the two though.

    Building off of what you're saying, I'm hoping that its someone who is Selfless and Group Oriented like Luke, but is also a Teenage Survivor/Badass like Clementine. It also has to be someone who has experienced some of the same shit that Clementine has had to deal with to be sure.

    Hopefully there won't be a romance between the two though.

    I actually feel that there SHOULD be a way for them to have some sort of Romance, but ONLY if the Player WANTS it to happen, and ONLY if it isn't FORCED.

    I agree. If I end up liking the person, I wouldn't mind if Clem and he/she became a thing. Hopefully Telltale can do it right unlike Gabe and Clem.

    That sounds better. Then next season (if there is one), have the relationship be determinant by the choices of your actions (like if you sided with them the most, they'll have a crush on you but you have a choice to deny feelings or not. Vice versa.)

    Of course, they'll be in the season with a purpose and it's not for another Clem love interest.

    Then next season (if there is one), have the relationship be determinant by the choices of your actions (like if you sided with them the most, they'll have a crush on you but you have a choice to deny feelings or not. Vice versa.)

    That's essentially what Until Dawn did with Chris and Ashley using the Relationship Meter. Each decision and Dialogue effects the relationship. Once the meter goes RED, Romance Kicks Off.

    Conversely, they could go the Mass Effect 2 route, getting to know him/her in the first three episodes, and move forward in Episodes 4 and 5.

    Might as well copy this from @GhostToast 's thread from May.

    I want a cast that has a varied group of allies and/or diverse cast of enemies that are developed as much as possible alongside the settings they inhabit. These are some things I'd like to see/notsee with previous examples/nonexamples:

    • Whatever the opposite of redneck is. In fact, let's get less country characters in general.(Kenny, Luke)
    • Australian/Eurasian/whatever accent(Katjaa, Carlos)
    • Ex-army enlister(Lily,Mark)
    • Friendly elder (Larry, Vernon)
    • Middle class employee(Jolene)
    • Hobo(Chuck)
    • Good settlement leader(Oberson,Carver)
    • Escaped prisoner(Vince, Danny)
    • Developed drug addict/prescription user(Bonnie,Natasha)
    • Evil/Nebulous child/teen(Becca,Sarah)
    • Good/Affable bandit(Nate, Michelle)
    • Lesbian/Bi-sexual(Walter, Matthew)
    • Less evil russian or other immigrant race(Reggie, Buricko)
    • Mixed/Adoptive Family(Randy, Gill)
    • A friendly doctor character who plays a role in the story would be nice.(Katjaa, Vernon, Carlos)
    • Maybe a farmer or farmhand to tie into the slaughterhouse section.(Ben, Andy)
    • A positively portrayed/treated boy character(Ben, Arvo, Gabe)
    • A personal rival/antagonist for Clementine and/or the main cast period.(Michelle, Arvo, Badger)
    • A sick character who does their best to help out in spite of (Ex.Larry,Brie, Rebecca?,Natasha)
    • A Big Bad that's actually overarching, not a total caricature, and antagonistic.(Stranger, Carver, Arvo, )
    • A fat chick who would work out.(Katjaa,Brie,Taavia)
    • A couple that is mutually important(Alvin,Omid, Patricia)
    • A tween character who has been surviving on their own(Clementine, Fivel, Gil)
    • A homeless/hobo character whose life has changed since the apocalypse began.(Chuck)
    • A crazy awesome character that's on the good side. (Jolene, Nate, Vitali)
    • Another one scene wonder character (Molly, Michelle, Edith)
    • A black villain.(Taavia, Michelle,Ava)
    • Another Lilly-type character instead of a Kenny (Kenny, Nate?, Sarah).
    • Badass archetype that's actually legitimately likable and sympathetic (Ex. Michonne, Molly, Jane).
    • A mother/brother and child duo.(Ex. Kenny and Duck, Shel and Becca, Carlos and Sarah)
    • A childless mother.(Ex.Jolene,Vernon,Kenny)

    I was just saying on my PS4 just the other day that we should do a #BringBackJavi just like people made a #SaveDoug. Besides, the sound of his baseball bat is so satisfying. Idc if he isn't playable to some extent, I just need him to be in the season for at least 1-2 hours.

    I want returning charecters that can refresh clementines story a little bit.....maybe Christa seeing clem that she's capable of taking care of a baby or the return of nate as a villian who we realize was holding captive of AJ insert reason in here and clem wants to get him back....those are just collective thoughts I have in my mind rn

    I'd like to see someone like a singer, musician, actor, heck, even a model - sort of famous like Javier - try to adapt to the new world. After being so rich and away from everyone else, how do they become a survivor?

    A firefighter could be cool, at least visually. A therapist could make for some interesting questions.

    I'd like less characters, and better ones. Season 1 was a perfect example of how to tell a gripping story with a small cast.
