So, season 4 has basically been confirmed...

As if it wasn't expected anyways...

"Now, what she's gonna do when she finds him? That is the story of season four. That is the story of future Clem. Who she wants to be, who she wants to be with, and how she wants to be? Those are decisions the player's gonna make."

So, uh, yeah. How do you feel about this?

The last season was really a drag in my eyes. Maybe the fact that Clementine wasn't the sole protagonist could have played a part in that (though I did warm towards Javier's storyline), but it mostly because of the storytelling, the decisions, the weird graphics, Clem's haircut (loool), among other things...

Since Season 4 is going back to the Season 2 formula, does that change any of the views of the demographic who were largely disappointed by season 3? (like myself)
I'll probably still watch the let's plays on Youtube, but there's no chance of me buying it.

  • The fact its about Clem's future and who she wants to be, makes me think she will live

  • Unless she wants to be a corpse.

  • Is S4 going back to the S2 formula? You mean that because Clementine is the playable character again?

  • They should have just stuck with Clem as sole protagonist in ANF. The series feels so disjointed now.

  • Can't wait for the 4th and final season, this is a (roller coaster of the emotions)

    LMAO!!!!!

  • I'm not excited at all.

  • I'm excited for Batman and Wolf Among Us. What was said during the interview has me a bit worried about S4. They mentioned Clementine saw the Garcia's as a functional family that in the end the family and community went well . They're an extremely dysfunctional family , half or more are dead at the end of S3 , and Richmond really shouldn't be considered a happy ending. One hole in a flimsy wall brought them to their knees. I guess this really leaves me confused how she can walk away from that with hope and optimism in having the same with AJ. Why would I want that for AJ?

  • New Frontier is like that adopted red headed child of the franchise.

  • After the disaster of season 3, and how much they disregarded season 2, I won't be buying season 4 either unless it's actually good. I always liked to play games like this with my initial reactions, but I don't want to put money in something that doesn't care about the fans. I've complained many times beforehand how much of a mess everything was. How two of the most important characters from season 2 were killed off in ridiculous ways. How the protagonist of season 2 became a side character that did not reach any of their personal goals. How underwhelming the ending of season 3 was, and the random changes to characters' motives and personalities all to benefit plots. Kenny was a very important character to me, and I personally felt that season 2 made him MORE important to me despite the forced "isn't Kenny bad?" plot-points. But even so, I was still very emotional during that choice between him and Jane, and for them to kill her off the way they did? Absolutely disgusting and disrespectful. If TellTale truly cares about this series and wants to redeem it for its final ride then they need to communicate with us more. We shouldn't be heard DURING the season, but right now while we're in the pre-production phase. Figure out what worked those first 2 seasons, and what didn't. Why the issues we mentioned were a big deal; for example Kenny/Jane's death was a huge issue because of HOW it was handled. You take a character who has been surviving for so long on her own, have her get knocked up then kill herself to leave behind a girl she desperately yearned for in place of her dead sister - with a baby! You have one of the roughest bastards that wouldn't give up hope because it's the only thing he had to live for die in a goddamn car accident because he didn't wear a belt. All of that throwing shit out of the window from season 2 in order to push a story of a family that was NOT FUNCTIONAL (aiming this at you, woman in the video with glasses) and may not even be in the final season! If TellTale is so damn confident in their storytelling that they don't need our honest opinions then just release the whole game! Why wait a month or months in between episodes if you already have the story you want to tell?

  • I just hope they give Clementine a really nice conclusion. At this point I would prefer she finds AJ and goes to Richmond with Javi and whoever else survived for the rest of her days. That way season 3 was at least significant to her happiness.

    P.S.

    Season 4*

  • 100% agree

  • I still think that the franchise can be saved. It needs to go back to season 1 formula though. My ideal scenario would be to forget season 3 ever happened and just start the game with an older version of Clementine at Wellington with a similar personality she had in season 2.

Kenny would have also saved the franchise for sure but seeing as he's dead, they need a character just as good to replace him.
