ok
understandable, have a great day.
Yes, 2018 is too soon.
There's no way in earth, hell or space to wrap up a proper continuation - which is also the series finale - in one year, unless they have one entirely dedicated, motivated and focused team of ants working their asses off 24/7, knowing exactly what they want to achieve and how to do that, also working with some advanced technology which allows them to animate their ideas in their minds and just transfer them on screen by thoughts.
Either this season is going to be very short and simple, or they were working on this project before ANF, or this date is just for hype and social media and the real one will be postponed.
My life is going to get more complicated too but I’ll make the time for it.
yeah...
Bummer bro but it'll be there when you are ready.
I'm guessing everyone is assuming early 2018 like January or February, meanwhile I'm over here predicting it'll be released around late fall, maybe even late 2018.
I said this on another thread but I'll just repost it again here.
What I'm trying to say is that this could have been years in the making, maybe ANF was meant to have been a already thought out chapter leading to the final season. While ANF was disappointing somewhat, I truly believe that TellTale don't want to fuck this up and are sticking to a script which may have been developed years ago. I believe ANF was just filler and this season is what could take us by surprise. Still you can never know.
Hopefully it'll be good...this time.
Well remember what Melissa said..there were some very good things in ANF that were Clem related that got cut out...I am thinking they were not feeling ANF and that if they left the parts in...you would have a disjointed Clem heavy game when it is Javi's game really....so I am thinking they patched ANF as best they could and were more interested in giving Clem a real sendoff...I bet we see that cut parts like Sandra and others.
They're clearly rushing it. 2018 is way too short of a development time, even if it gets released in winter.
It's only been a couple of months since that last episode was released and they're already announcing the final season. Given how bad ANF was there should be some serious discussions before even attempting to work on a Season 4. Alas, it doesn't seem to be true.
IMO, It should have a longer development time, having it releasing at the very earliest at the start of 2020. But with this new announcement date? I'm not holding any hopes for Season 4. The only thing I can see is that Season 4 is a blank slate (despite being the final season) because in all alternate endings Clementine ends alone. This should not be the case in a choice ridden game by now, but you be the judge of this. I wouldn't expect diverse choices until the end. I would probably expect alternate endings for Season 4 (which will most likely happen because it's literally the end of the Walking Dead game). The only reason ANF's alternate choices worked is because Clementine isn't involve in any of it at the very end.
TL;DR - I'm very disappointed at this date. It's way too short for the Walking Dead game.
why did we need to know about your upcoming personal issues?
Yall need to realise it might as well get released in December just like ANF or S2.
It definitely wont be released in January, february or march. If it does get released in December then they have nearly 17 months to make the game. Just to give you an example, Season 1 ended in November 2012, Season 2 was released in December 2013, they had 13 months to make another season. So no, they have enough time to make a good game, unless they will make a whole new engine. But I think they will run it on the same engine that ran ANF.
Pretty much everyone here, I'll be on College by that time.
