What do you hate about your favourite video games? (SPOILER TALK)
^^^^^^^ We love video games but there are some problems we cannot get over. There is no perfect video game. No game without a single sin.
Until Dawn
- No option to save Josh Washington. He either dies or turns into a Wendigo.
- Mike cannot die at all until the last chapter.
- Not enough character development for Samantha.
- Not real bad ending featured. Zombified Hannah and other Wendigos die no matter what.
Outlast
- Not enough screentime for dr. Trager. He has the best voice-acting and lines in the entire game.
- Chris Walker, from how muscular and big he is, doesn't do an instant kill unless you choose to play on higher difficulties.
Tales from the Borderlands
- Doesn't get a Season 2 anytime soon.
The Walking Dead
- Chuck's death is the worst writing of the entire season.
- Around Every Corner, the biggest Telltale episode of all time, has the slowest pacing of the entire season.
- Gets a terrible third installment.
- Season 2 Determinant Characters die like shit.
Resident Evil 7
- The last boss fight was too QTEed.
- Visual problems. They take seconds to be fully, I dunno, visualed?
Resident Evil 4
- More action the survival horror.
- It has the weakest puzzles.
- Escort missions. Not that I hate Ashley Graham or anything but that makes it more annoying than scary.
- Has no connection to the main story.
Alien Isolation
- The first half of the game is so enjoyable and terrifying but once you get the flamethrower, it gets less scarier because you can defend yourself from the Xenomorph.
Uncharted series
- No Co-op Adventure like U2 and U3 in Uncharted 4.
- Monastery chapter in Uncharted 2.
- Uncharted 1 is not as good as I remember.

Dragon Age: Origins
There. I said it. He sucks.
He's such a shit person with a shit attitude and people actually like him.
And he tries to kill you.
I don't hate anything about my favorite games but they make me sad because I know that I will never find a game that will surpass the experience they gave me:
The Walking Dead Season 1
The Cat Lady
Kingdom Hearts
Smash Bros.
Sonic
Half-Life
Mario
Zelda
Morenatsu
Disney Infinity
Star Fox
Minecraft Story Mode
The Walking Dead
The legend of Zelda botw:
The story is weaker than other Zelda games and doesn’t really fit anywhere in the timeline.
Just cause 3:
The ending sucks you just shoot the guy (Not going to attempt to spell is name) and the credits role.
Watchdogs 2:
Assasins creed series:
All of them make me lose interest more as each installment comes out which is sad because I really like the series
Telltales Guardians of the Galaxy:
This isn’t about the game itself really I just think it deserves more attention.
Just Cause trilogy always had terrible stories. The gameplay is the only reason people play this series.
Aaw, I love my boy Zevran, granted that he turns on you in the end, although you can prevent that, can you not?
I definitely see your point though.
Mass Effect 2
The stats screen at the end of missions breaks immersion
You should be able to go after any party member from the start
Zaeed and Kasumi not having proper conversations on the ship sucks though I do like the characters
Dead Rising 1/2
Any boss that doesn't have a proper death scene is a missed opportunity the convicts are a cool boss with great music but no death scene makes it not as memorable as others
The TK fight and the situation he puts you in at the end is kinda lame
Final fight in DR1 being a fistfight is lame
The grind to get to lvl 50 is a slog in both games
I kinda get what you mean. Zevran is kind of sick and he doesn't even realize how bad the stuff he says is. My Warden had quite a few disagreements with him. However I really like him. You don't have to approve of what a character does to like them.
Dragon Age Inquisition: Trespasser:
Iron Bull's betrayel. This really annoyed me. Granted you can prevent it by saving the Chargers but I didn't do that. The betrayel is so impersonal. It just happens so casually. I should've been really emotional after one of my favorite characters betrayed me but I was just annoyed. Plus they gave you a good, grey choice where there was no wrong choice and ended up making it feel like the wrong choice because it leads to the death of the Iron Bull.
Walking Dead: No matter what, Lee dies and a majority of choices don't matter.
Uncharted 4: final boss was a little dumb, the fight was great, i just couldn't take the guy seriously.
Wolf Among Us: I would've liked to have played as Bigby's final wolf form a little more.
The Legend of Zelda: kind of impossible to beat without access to internet and a strategy guide.
Mad Max: Filled with many customizable vehicles if you find the parts, cool weapons you can unlock, and decent combat mechanics, if you upgrade.... But no New Game +
You don't even unlock all the car upgrades until you've finished the ENTIRE game, and i'm one of those guys that likes to get all the collectable, side missions, and upgrades before proceeding with the story. SO MAD
Oblivion: Those NPC faces...dear fucking god those NPC faces...
I find the second half of the final episode of Tales from the Borderlands a bit anticlimactic.
Also I hate the way Batman ended. 5th episode is probably my favourite but the last minute was even more anticlimactic than Tales. Instead of giving us a satysfying ending they throw a "OMG guys it's Joker! He's gonna be in S2 as we didn't make it obvious before! OMG! Buy the next season! Joker! OMG!" It's like if ANF ended without Clem finding.... ohhhhh....
Every Video Game Ever:
There will always be the so-called "fan" who'll rampage through forums criticizing everything for some reason or other. And if you disagree with them, they'll claim that it's you who has a problem.
Have to agree on your point on Uncharted 2 and the Monastary chapter, the game did slow down quite a bit there and there wasn't much narrative going on, it was just shootout after shootout.
Here are a couple of mine:
Tales from the Borderlands
I always thought it took a very long time for the game to properly get going. I didn't get truly pumped by the adventure until Loader Bot shows up, it just felt like a slow build but other than that the game is fantastic.
Loader Bot should've been the hero of the story (kidding... kinda.)
Devil May Cry 3
Mainly the fault of the follow-up but I'd LOVE to be able to switch styles in 3 in the same way you could in 4. There was a mod that allowed you to do that on PC though.
Temen-ni-gru was my least favourite setting of the series, I just found this giant tower a less enjoyable area to explore than Mundus' island in 1 or Fortuna in 4.
Jak and Daxter series
Jak II was really aggressive with it's checkpoint placements at time, the game really didn't mind you starting an entire 20 minute mission over because of a small smeg up.
Jak 3 didn't have as good a balance of on-foot and vehicle missions as II did, I felt like I spent two thirds of the game in vehicles. I still think 3 is the best of the series though.
Hieronymus Lex will remember that.
I think it has to do with his approval. I don't think he turned on me, but I'm a completionist whom hates him. So I gave him all his gifts and never took him with me, so he couldn't disagree.
Dead Space 3
It's still a good game. I definitely recommend it. It's fun to play, it has some moments of horror (but not many) and has great visuals. But there are a few things with the single player story that really bug me.
There may be some spoilers and this may also turn into a rant, so I apologize.
The love triangle between Isaac, Ellie and Norton. It's just bad. It adds nothing to the story. Why was it needed?
Reducing Ellie from a badass who could fight hundreds of necromorphs to a damsel in distress who doesn't even have a weapon. Why couldn't Visceral Games have made the game with Ellie as a co-op partner instead of Carver. (although I have to admit, his suit is awesome looking, much better than Isaac's.). In Dead Space 2, she had her eye ripped out with a screwdriver by the crazy guy Stross, and she didn't give a f**k.
Where was this badass in the third game.
Captain Norton - He is an annoying character.
Wasted characters - Buckell was my favourite npc character in the game even though he had such small screen time. He was the only one that was nice and friendly to Isaac, guiding him through the ships and if given more time, he could've been a father figure to Isaac which would've added more to the story. But unfortunately, he was killed off as soon as they got onto the frozen planet and is forgotten. My favourite quote "It's not the dying that scares me, it's not making a difference before I do". I was disappointed and sad that he didn't make it.
Oh man, I know something in particular
Bioshock Infinite: That fight with the siren-ghost-whatever the fuck it is. That fight. That GODDAMN fight. What dumb motherfucker greenlit that gameplay section, and what dumber motherfucker decided to make you do it TWO MORE TIMES
I can't think of many other bosses/minibosses that were as unenjoyable to fight as this floaty, yelly revive-y bitch
i think bioware was originally going to make every party member available at the start since if you use a save editor to add characters who only pop up after Horizon then they have Dialogue on every mission you get at the start .
Game of thrones: Mira s sections meant literally nothing in the story.
Mass effect 2: Not being able to recruit every squadmate at the start even thought there s dialogue for every squadmate in every mission including the early missions.
Mass effect 3 : That n7 depot mission .
ill probably edit more in later.
I don't understand what you're trying to convey.
Monolith Soft has belonged to Nintendo since 2007-2008, after they bought all 96% of Namco's stake in the company.
Gears of War 4
Making the Gnasher Shotgun to the point where its so overpowered, yet so inconsistent at the same time. You could shoot someone in the face with it pointblank, and that could get you a kill. Or...if the Gears Gods are in a trolling mood you could use it three times on their head only for them to kill you in one shot from THEIR Gnasher. Everybody and their mother uses it in that game, and 99% matches are just a Gnasher. No, that isn't an exaggeration of numbers either. That's how often its used.
The game is now Grind to Win, which is just Pay to Win's twin brother. The characters that I want have to be bought for a fucking chance of drawing them. Uhm. Why? Why can't I just have fun by working hard and earning it?? It feels so great to unlock a character through playing the game and working towards it! It gives me the same satisfaction like when I opened my first paycheck.
Lastly, Kait. One of the biggest Mary Sues in gaming history. Thing is, I can't back my shit up here just because its a spoiler. So if you've actually made it this far into my shit-fit and you've played the game, there's a pretty good chance you know what I'm talking about.
Wasn't the Gnasher always like that, not a Gears 4 specific thing right? Not that I disagree or anything.
Ya I remember seeing that back in the day, don't get why they changed it.
Minecraft: Story Mode
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain
The ending
Wasted Opportunities
Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker
To get the final mission you have to go look for a guy who escaped...6 times. And you have to do some missions in between so you'll be replaying a lot of side ops just to finish the game.
GTA Vice City
That damn mission where you have to race a guy so he helps you in the heist and you have to be perfect in every turn.
Batman Arkham Series
Riddler Trophies
Ace Attorney Series
Those moments when you know exactly what happened and you have the evidence to prove it but first you have to show other evidence to get to the one you want to show.
Life is Strange
The powers are not explained in any way.
Okay, the Hillary mission in Vice City was the worst one of the franchise. I'll back that one up.
GTA 5: NPC's on GTA 5 can't drive
SKYRIM: NPC's on skyrim keep dying
ROBCOCKS: Roblox is cancerous and banned me for no reason
GTA SAN ANDREAS: nothing about the game itself but when people say that mission where you have to follow the damn train is hard cos it took me 1 try and 3-5 minutes to complete.
It was fairly overpowered in the older games, yes. Fairly being the key term.
However, it wasn't to this extent. You still somewhat needed skill to use it instead of just shooting everywhere and praying to god you kill someone with it.
Destiny
When people spam the Matador in the Crucible. Also Eris Morn. Creepy ladies with three eyes that blabber on and on about darkness is... not my thing. Also how half the community complains and yells at Bungie to 'nerf' stuff.
Minecraft
Hackers and people with Auto-Click mouses.
Roblox
Games that take a YEAR to fix a BUG.
Brawlhalla
Bow and gun spammers.
Star Wars: Battlefront
Bossk in close-quarters and Bacta + Bodyguard users.
is this how you judge games
Metal Gear Solid V
Borderlands 2
Batman: Arkham Series
Last of Us
great thread
The Last of Us:
Red Dead Redemption:
The Walking Dead:
Bloodborne:
*some of the camera angles the game decides to put you in.
The Witcher 3:
Uncharted series:
Fallout New Vegas:
Battlefield 1 they chopped the game into bits and released them in DLCs which also took forever to be released.
Thank you EA.
Cliche's, man. I am done and getting sick of cliches:
"Its gonna be okay when its really not" cliches
"We are so closer than you think" cliches
Last second savings cliches
Pull some opportunities to the characters that they are not able to
Y'all are being unnecessarily underhanded about my post.
