The Stranger should've taken Glenn's role in A New Day

  • Exactly. You're led to assume it's some skeevy pedophile, when really its just some henpecked soccer dad.

He just sounded like an old creeper on the walkie talkie

  • He could've been Doug, thus actually showing off his clever, heroic side contrasted to Carley's slightly more practical mindset.

I don't really mind too much though, as I actually liked Glenn's arc in Season 1 despite not watching the TV Show. Too bad I can't say the same about ANF, sorry not sorry.

I really hate the cameos in Walking dead.Glenn could of been anyone else and it wouldn't of made a difference.

  • Very true. Plus, the encounter with him is essentially Lee criticizing himself for his choices throughout the Season and most importantly, not being able to protect Clementine, so it works out perfectly from a psychological and thematic standpoint.

  • While this idea sounds great, you should realize a hole in your idea, and that is that Clem would've probably recognized his voice on the radio during conversations, and she would most likely let everyone know about it and the confrontation would then rely on a complete coincidence as the Stranger wouldn't know they're headed to Savannah. While I do like your idea, it would actually lead to a complete rewrite of the entire season just to make the encounter possible. But yeah in theory this is very well thought of.

Yeah I guess so but his voice was completely different on the walkie-talkie in-game. Which I'm not sure why but in theory he could disguise his voice. It's not that hard to do. And on top of that she's a kid so she'd be fooled more easily.

  • It would make it feel like a more rounded story, but I wouldn't like it as much. I like that the Stranger was exactly that. Someone who you knew nothing of, and yet ruined his life without ever actually meeting him before.

I'd also have probably seen that coming, especially if you know it's his car that you're stealing from in episode 2. When I seen the Car in Ep. 5 I had a chill at the realisation of what was going on, which I feel would be lost.
    Interesting idea though.

  • As a way of improving this idea, have Mr. Campman leave to find his loved ones on foot. That way, you still have the mystery behind the station wagon and leave room for speculation in case anyone suspects a returning character ahead of time.

It also helps that Season 1 knew to do that with other plot unimportant characters instead of killing them off just because.

  • Yeah that's an improvement. The group wouldn't have any idea they're robbing their friend.
