I honestly just can't imagine playing The Walking Dead without Clementine. If they will continue a walking dead story with another character I hope they just make their own different IP that's not The Walking Dead, but we all know that wont sell. Hell, their walking dead IP (michonne and S3) already are not selling as much as it should.
Playing as Javier was alright but I felt like I was playing a random drama story game. Just thinking of playing as Clem again in S4 makes me excited to finally feel like I'm playing a Walking Dead game
Whilst I can appreciate that Telltale are ending Clem's story with her as a focus, it still boggles my mind how they are still under this ig… morenorant impression that their Walking Dead universe is above Clementine. Ever since it was made clear that Clem would only be made playable in flashbacks in ANF, it's felt as though they want Clem out of their sight and mind. No matter how you may personally feel, Telltale should have realised that the only real reason the majority of people still play these games is because of Clementine. People don't want more, subsequent sequels without Clem. People are intrigued in her story, and are determined to see it to the end, which makes it confusing to me why they would decide to want to get rid of her. In a business mindset, that's literally throwing away the pre-established audience for no real rhyme or reason.
I'm not trying to say here that this final season shouldn't be the final for Clem or saying that… [view original content]
I think they just needed to say something positive about the amazing family they created. they all know the Garcia's are fucking boring but why would they say that?
To Masterfaust and Deltino
It is irrelevant that their family was able to survive together for 4 years relatively well because Clem was o… morenly around for a few days to see the worst of it and its downfall. So dont go to telltales defense when it was clearly a silly statement that Alyssa shouldn't have made.
Yes, god, thank you! Agreed 100%. Like, even the show still mostly has the core group from their season 1, so why can't the games do the same?
Telltale, that just means when you do kill them off we'll be even more emotional because we've had more time with them... we know their stories and struggles and triumphs throughout all the seasons.
.... I can't believe I'm explaining basic storytelling stuff to the company that prides themselves on writing good stories... but there it is....
Anyway, yeah I would really rather not see characters like Molly, Lilly, etc... again. It's just been too long. It would be unrealistic and it would be extremely cheesy, cringe-y, and VERY un-Walking Dead-like as fuck if one of, some of, or (gods forbid) all of them are the ones taking care of AJ. Not to mention extremely convenient. Save that stuff for the fanfiction, folks!
Am I the only one who doesn't want any characters to return? Telltale missed the opportunity to bring characters over to new seasons once th… moreey wrote them out of their stories. Shoving Mike, Bonnie, Arvo, Lilly, Molly etc. in at this point would just be tacky, unrealistic and just boring and predictable. If Telltale wanted to have characters cross over to different seasons (which they should have done) then they shouldn't have gotten rid of them and should have just kept those characters relevant throughout the seasons.

While I agree there is no reason to bring any character back (I can't think of a character besides Clem who was major enough to get their own arc and have it left unresolved), there is precedence for it. I'm sure most people forgot about Morgan by time he got brought back. My main argument against it is that they've already done that. The only one I'd find acceptable is MAYBE if Clem decides to go back (with or without AJ) to Richmond at the end. And that's more cameo than anything.

1Rick, 2Carl, 3Carol, 4Daryl, only 4 from season 1= mostly season 1.

I wasn't listening properly, when did he say that?
I said the same thing... no clem = end of the walking dead for me
The most valuable piece of information was correct pronunciation of Stauffer's name
Better than the games grand total of 1 surviving member from Season 1 and 1 from Season 2.
By "he" I was referring to myself in third person
